Vi is a great community for retired seniors. Well planned, with a great variety of amenities in different levels of the arts and international cuisine. All this back up by professional and personable personnel, keeping the residents well informed and safe. There is no place I would rather be, especially during this pandemic. I have food delivered to my door, creative ways to interact with other residents, while being socially distant and people around that care about my health and well being. But my favorite, the Farmer's Market in our own courtyard!

I would like to share my honest opinion and tell you how The Vi shaped my career and life perspective. What a wonderful place to work it is! While I worked there I felt appreciated by my co workers and by wonderful Residents who became my second family. I started as a part time employee and soon became a full time and I also had an opportunity to be part of Management Development Program - one of many perks offered to everyone really interested in growth of their career. There are so many attractive benefits offered to their employees: health benefits, retirement, scholarships, employee's fund bonuses and many more providing help and support and even entertaining. Now, few years later after I accepted an attractive offer from other company that helped me work around my son's school schedule - I still remain as a part time employee at Vi and I am very honored to be part of such an fantastic team. I come to work and have an honor to serve such a Beautiful and Valuable Generation. There is also so much to learn from the Residents that make you feel like home and can share their wisdom and success life stories. I am an immigrant but I found my home away from home and I feel much more confident now. Thank you so much.

While I'm not a resident of Vi, I have had the pleasure to work professionally with Vi at La Jolla Village as a partner to my non-profit organization. We have had several events at their location, and they have been such a pleasure to work with over the past few years. And they have always provided delicious nibbles and meals for our events, too. It's a joy to work with them and I look forward to many more years of fruitful partnership.
I only hope I can be lucky enough to live at the Vi some day!

My company helps new residents move into The Vi as well as assists residents with organizing projects in their home. I am in the building regularly. When I visit, people are friendly and welcoming. The staff and all the people we work with are professional, friendly and caring. The people we move in are fun to work with and appreciative of our team and the work we do. We work in many communities in the San Diego area and when I am ready to make a move into a senior community, The Vi will be at the top of my list!!

I worked temporary jobs at the Vi for over a year, mostly in the Marketing Department. I found it to be a beautiful, well-maintained community, with many activities within as well as trips to events in the area. The staff is especially kind and helpful and seemed to not only know all of the residents but were interested in their daily lives. The food service was exceptional. I would gladly recommend the Vi the to my family and friends.

Sindy and I have lived at the Vi for 6 years. These have been some of the happiest years in our lives. We chose San Diego for family and weather reasons. We chose Vi because of the strength of its parent company, the life care plan, and exceptional location.(20 minutes from beaches, downtown, the airport, most of the theaters, 5 minutes from three world class hospitals) The buildings and the care center are attractive, as are the amenities: a heated pool, private gym, billiards room, 2 libraries, etc.
But the most important qualities were known only after we were residents.
Consistently high quality food, professional, friendly staff at all levels,
intelligent, responsive management. And, best of all, our neighbors are some of the best people we have ever met. Rich backgrounds from many fields, interesting, and open to new friendships. We have enhanced our experience by taking advantage of the many opportunities for community participation.

I worked at Vi for many years and I still miss the family of residents and staff there. I am writing this review because I recently helped a family friend research retirement communities and it made me realize how unique the Vi experience is. Many of the staff members have been there for years and their dedication is unwavering. I am still in touch residents and staff that I became friends with for life! Seeing the pictures from this Covid year is very moving. The staff and residents are so creative and motivated to keep each other in good spirits through this mess of a year! The beauty and quality of Vi is great, but it's the community to that makes it so special.

My grandma has lived there for a long time and speaking on behalf of her it s amazing. The beach is very close bye, you get a great view, so many restaurants and sights and stuff nearby. I also love how clean and in shape the place is. It s very well taken care of and has so much essentials in the actual building. Not to mention the mall nearby. I love how everything is in walking distance and the Vi is very comforting to come back to after a long day. My grandma has a house in Needles California that is her home, but she spends so much of her time here at the Vi and she loves it so much. They should take great pride in their work with this place, because I love visiting her here

My mother-in-law left her home of 30 years to live at Vi. It was the best move for her, as she was finally around a group of vibrant people. The daily schedule of events provided something for everyone. She loved the food, the amenities, and the staff. Although she died a few years ago, I can't help but think how lucky she would have been--during this pandemic--to live at Vi, where everyone is so very cared for.
