Mtn Creek has no clue how to run a ski mtn. They consistently fail to open lifts after winter storms. Someone needs to inform them that if it snows then you need to show up the next morning to spin the lifts. Dont worry about grooming every solitary inch of trail. Just turn on the lifts and let the skiers/riders decide what's worth hitting. The first thing they teach at ski resort school is if it snows, then be open.

Really good rides i just think the wall to get tubes and then back up to the ride is alot.... you have to take the tubes up hills and stairs. That is something they really need to look into changing.

Very fun water park. Lots of cool rides, but just check weather before you go. Because they stop operation for 30 min. Every time there's a thunder. However, if you were unable to go in due to weather condition (no refund) you can go ask for rain check voucher to come back another time

Terrible Snow Tubing experience! We paid for two hours of tubing and were only able to go down four times because they were so backed up. They only had one side of the hill (half the tubing lanes) open because of a malfunction with one of the magic carpet lifts. However, nobody was working on it or trying to get it working. When you finally get to the top of the mountain, there was a minimum of 25 minute wait to go down. Waste of money and terribly mismanaged!!! Will never go back...

Pros:

Pros:
Nice variety of rides
Plenty of parking, free if you buy your ticket online, 10 dollars otherwise
Not too many lines on weekday

Cons:
Long walk from parking
Super cold water
a lot of uphill walking between rides on hard asphalt
No healthy food choices and they don't let you bring your own food in
Fairly chilly up in the mountain...

We photographed (Brian Delia Photography) a wedding here last October and of course the views were amazing and the wedding was just incredible. Overall ambiance for a mountain style wedding is a solid 10! We loved working there!

I was there on Christmas day for snow tubing. It is the worst snow tubing experience i have so far. Landing at the bottom of the slope is basically crashing into a grass area going upwards, instead of slowing down to full stop. It is like forcefully stopping the tube. Impact was so horrible, that I had the pain in my neck and shoulder for three days. Other family members also had the same experience. I saw some people are thrown into the air bubble and the net coming down with that speed, because the slopes do not have flat area long enough for the tubes to slow down. Tubes are dirty as hell. The shuttle bus was late to pick up. Overall experience is disappointing. Never going back.

called ahead to see if we can reserve a cabana, the girl on the phone said she couldn't. After waiting 30+ minutes on a line to purchase tickets in 90 degree humidity, when we finally got up to the window and ordered a cabana we were told their were two left to choose from. we obviously picked the one next to the wave pool, with the music and great sunshine. The girl proceeded to tell us this just sold out we only have a treetop cabana. Admission is NOT free when buying a cabana, after paying 291.00 that was with a $20 discount.. we proceeded to the park. Oh did I mention parking isn't free either? ok. The walk anywhere around the park is horrible, god forbid you don't have flip flops or water shoes you will burn your feet completely off. Treetop Cabana outlets didn't work & took the waitress 30 minutes to come back and forth with what we ordered. the waits for the rides were 60 minutes+ NOT TO MENTION you have to wait 40 minutes + to get your own tube before even entering the line for the actual ride. After a 400 trip to Action park with 4 people.. we experienced 1 ride and the highly crowded wave pool. Disappointed. I will be continuing my business to splashdown beach.

Nice on the weekdays, usually pretty good snow cover and park features. Great local place to mess around. We personally avoid on weekends/holidays as the place becomes very congested with inexperienced riders and children (which is true for any NJ/PA hill).

I stayed at the Appalachian hotel and it was amazing! Beautiful room, great decor, fireplace in suites, lots to do. It was a lovely stay. Lots of parking, places to eat. Clean, comfy bed, big bath, and couldn't hear neighbors or those in hallway at all! Highly recommend. Did I mention my stellar view and all the amenities?!

December 29th, 2018. Went snow tubing today. Very disappointed. The place is very disorganized. First of all there is a lack of clear instructions on where to park if you are snow tubing. No signs to direct you in an orderly fashion. So you land up going to red tail lodge only to be directed to the actual parking lot a further distance down. Then you park and wait for a shuttle. Again no instructions at that lot. We saw a couple of people who came with snow boarding and skiing equipment only to be directed back to the red tail lodge since thats where those activities are. Then you get to the actual snow tubing place by bus which is stuffed with people like one passenger put it - sardines.
Once you manage to off load, the chaos starts. We had bought tickets online. Again, no instructions as to what to do. We asked a guy behind the ticket shack with a long line as to what to do with inline bookings. He said just stand over there and ill be there in 5 min. I waited 10 and went back to ask him and he said the same thing. After another 15 min i looked for the guy and i spotted him at the opposite side of where he had directed me and realized that he started redeeming online orders there. So then i had to wait in line there behind 20 people when I could have been much ahead. DISORGANIZED. Not me, them. I had called them the day before and asked them if there were time slots. They had said no and that your two hours start when you get on. WRONG. The guy had to give slots. So in-spite of reaching the place at 11, he gave us a time starting at 1. Said too many people and hence slots. Finally went up the hill. Once we reached up there, guess what ? There were 6 lanes in each side and in each lane there were 8-10 people ahead of you. So in one hour we managed to come down the slope only twice. And as the day got busy, the lines for the bus to go back became longer and the bus service slower. Ao waiting in the cold was longer. Hence the one star. Next time, will try some place else.

Terrible visit on Presidents Day weekend. Waited 2.5 hours and there was another 1.5 hour eait for gear. We got our money back after a big fight. Some staff people were nice but others were totally incompetent. Everyone was furious at the wait, there was not enough staff and they completely oversold tickets, even when they had run out of rentals. Never going back to this madhouse.

Best bike park closest to NYC. Has some really great trails and some gnarly rock sections, technical, flow trails. Some trails are outdated, not maintained which sucks because its actually a large area (another nit pick, its tough to get onto other side of mountain where the old school race runs are). Fun place regardless.

Checked in at 7:45pm and checked out at 9:00pm. Arrived and my expensive suite was occupied by someone else. I was downgraded to another room with a street view. The room was in terrible condition. The air conditioning was broken and the fireplace kept emitting a lot of heat.

The room phone was missing half of the dials and didn t work at all so I had to go downstairs to (again) speak with the nice gentleman at the front counter. He tried fixing what he could but he isn t an HVAC contractor. Wasn t fixed. I also noticed a lot of the furniture was very dated and damaged.

I asked if they had any other room (I was even willing to pay more for whatever they had) and there was none available.

I decided to leave same night because the money they were charging was not worth it at all.

Drove 2.5 hours for a really disappointing outcome.

The front desk guy was very courteous, professional, and tried really hard to do what he could. He just couldn t do anything. The only thing I could do is wait until morning and speak with the manager.

Will update this review once I ve spoken with the manager in the morning.

My husband and I have been a season pass holder for over 10 years but trust me when I say that doesn t mean anything to this company. Yes I m well aware they ve had probably 10 different owners in that time period but regardless I ve been snowboarding here for a long time. This year I bought a triple play because we were going to be moving to Vermont. After buying the pass I found out I was pregnant now clearly you should not ski or snowboard when you re pregnant. I called Mountain Creek and spoke to a woman that told me I would be able to get a refund. She gave me an email to send a doctors note stating I was pregnant and that I WOULD get my refund. I did all of that and got an email stating

Hello Ashley,

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Unfortunately Triple Play and Daily passes are non-refundable. Hopefully another family member will be able to use the card which can be used anytime throughout the season.

Keith Trevor Supervisor

Now even with me responding that I wanted to speak with a manager because I was already told I could get my refund. I was ignored! Clearly if I knew someone to transfer my pass to I would. But as I ve stated to them multiple times anyone that I do know already has a season pass.

I will never return to this mountain. And I ll make sure to tell anyone I know about how ridiculous this company is. Even though everyone already knows this. Clearly I m not the only one that has issues with this mountain considering the already terrible reviews. I ll go to a real mountain and will never return.

I guess the parts of the lanes for skiing/snowboarding are reasonable and beginners suitable for the beginners' lane. Don't know much about the other ones but great place to learn than experiencing the excitement and sport of skiing.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This place is very DANGEROUS! ...

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This place is very DANGEROUS! TERRIBLE CONDITIONS, IRRESPONSIBLE MANAGEMENT- RESORT CARES MORE ABOUT PROFIT THAN SAFETY. Today Mountain Creek claimed they had 6 inches of fresh powder on their snow report. It was a lie. On Charlie's run, it was all DIRT and ROCK SKIING. Several runs had more dirt than snow. There were 500 square foot areas with huge exposed dirt and rock patches in the center of the run. Everyone was falling and getting INJURED. A little girl fell and badly hurt herself. People were pissed. What makes matters worse is when we suggested they close the run for safety, the medics and mountain workers shared they agreed, but they were not allowed to close the runs. Are their jobs not to keep people safe? They even shared as it was a busy day, the resort wanted to make money and cared more about profit than safety. 9,000 people attended and they made a million dollars today, so they did not want to close any runs. I spoke with Pelipe the rentals manager who directed us to Jason Bays the COO. Jason was young, clueless and horrifying and told us point blank "we will not close any runs" and "I represent the owner, who gave me explicit directions not to close any runs today no matter what." Even after showing Jason the pictures of the run that is more dirt and rock than snow, and sharing we saw several people become seriously injured, he continued repeating these statements. He also kept repeating "skiing is an inherently risky sport." As no one should go swimming in a waterless pool, no one should ski on a snowless mountain causing injury and refuse to close the run. What is wrong with these people? BOYCOTT. Better yet, class action law suit!!! Even if this place has declared BANKRUPTCY they have a legal duty to ensure basic safety. SHAME SHAME ON YOU COO, JASON BAYS AND OWNER, JEFF KOFFMAN!!! How dare you care more about profit than providing basic safety conditions?! IF ANY OF THE DOZENS OF CHILDREN OR ADULTS WHO WERE INJURED TODAY, 2/18/2018 on CHARLES RUN OR AT THE RESORT, WANT TO CONTACT ME DIRECTLY I WOULD BE HAPPY TO MAKE A LEGAL STATEMENT ON YOUR BEHALF. My boyfriend has skied all over the world at world class resorts and he has never seen such IRRESPONSIBLE behavior and disregard for safety at a ski resort. Get your act together Mountain Creek! INEXCUSABLE!

It was a relatively warm January Saturday in the middle of a mostly snow-free. There was no natural snow anywhere on the ground. But Mountain Creek's groomers did their job and we had a super fun day of snowboarding! We arrived early, boarded 'til our legs were rubber and then we hit the beer garden for some liquid midday refreshment. It was another memorable winter sports day at Mountain Creek!

From mountain skiing and snowboarding in the winter, and mountain biking or visiting the water park in the summer, there's plenty to do here. The resort and property is kept in good quality all seasons.

It's my favorite place to spend time in the summer and in the winter. The snogo or skibike addition for the winter fleet helped me get on the slopes without any issues. The bike park in the summer is absolutely amazing. Very good use of terrain. I never tried the water park but I hear it's also good.

We snowboarded with my 4-year old daughter all day and then decided to take a little break and play on a small snow hill away from all busy trails where couple of other families with really small kids were having fun (probably waiting for the other half of the family to get back from slopes).

The staff rep told us we were not allowed to be there at all - all of us - so they made sure to get everyone out.

We were not in anyone's way, just taking a break outside and enjoying the weather. I guess, they only allow people to cramp inside base station.

Should introduce a better space management.

I gave experience a 2 star based on sparcity of room that was quite expensive. Booked for a wedding, which was quite lovely. However could not say the same of our room. For 300 a night, kitchenette had a coffee maker and nothing else, not a spoon, coffee, nada. We had to inquire in the front just get disposal cup and coffee essential. We were not only ones of other guests same conditions. Half of other guests that had stayed rooms were properly equipped. Besides that was noise level late into the night, we faced one of the back suites to back parking lot. Pretty disappointed for not inexpensive reservation.
