Decent Terrain most of the park side is on the Southside. The gondola lift runs pretty smooth but I noticed the Southside was much less busy. Overall decent staff. Slopes were relatively well maintained but not a lot of great coverage probably due to weather but I'm not sure how much snow making they do. I'll definitely come back but I would have liked to see more jumps medium to small throughout the park.

Very Good place to have fun with friends and family. It's well organised, clean and have very fun waterslides. Next time I'm planning to spend more days there. I live 2hours away from this beautiful place. We came from long island. The only thing we didn't like was the super cold water they had for the water slides. Last Sunday was only 70f . Other than that this place is excellent to have fun.

This is a great place to go and it has great water rides. I will go there arlest 2 times this summer and it keeps getting better and better. My 2 favorite rides are ZERO-G and Colorado River Rapids. I would suggest staying there for 3 to 4 hours. There are foodstands and tiny restaurants.

The quality of the snow is wonderful. On the territory there are guns from where the snow flies. Very cool to ski. Steep hills. I got an adrenaline rush for a great time. Here they will teach everyone to skate.

A great bike park, if your into mountain biking, you should give it a try. I have been twice, and I hope to make it one last before the season ends. Although the trails are smooth and maintained, it is best to ride a full suspension bike, although a hardtail is capable as it is what I rode the past two times I went. There is lots of variety, from technical trails to jump lines to huge drops, with options for any skill level. The food is good, the lift lines are usually not too long, and the staff are very friendly and nice. I have not tried the rentals, but from what I see they are great bikes and are maintained well.

The triple play option for tickets is great, there's a good selection of trails and the lodges are good, if a little expensive (except for beer!). It's not VT, but it is really good for where it is.

They claim to provide helmets but ran out of all but small sizes. Helmets available in the shop are $100+ dollars. Head injuries from skiing can be fatal. Don t claim to provide something that could save lives if you won t fully stock it, and then don t upcharge the only alternative. I will never come back.

Mountain Creek made me sad. Little snow, sub par attendees, and dirt.
Yes, dirt and broken gravel. I've never skied over that. Yet there were happy people, all attempting to ski or snowboard. See my disabled skier photo. There is a bunny hill for beginners, and magic carpet for the least experienced. Prices at the window were $89 per adult. The Lodge is decent, Holiday Inn style. $$ out of $$$$$ I would not recommend Mountain Creek, except to say I am happy it is within 90 minutes drive of NYC, so at least it is "something" or "an option".

Bike park is great! Could be maintained a bit more and some blue trails should be labeled black so be careful. But all in all it's a really great day every time I go!

Can't speak on the water park and haven't gone for snowboarding in many years.

Great resort with lots of diversified areas for all kind of activities for the whole family. Plenty of trails, rentals areas, food options and lounge and stay areas across price points for families and singles alike. Staff is friendly and helpful, they have a huge operation across the 4 peaks. One of the best places to learn or hone your craft close to the NYC area. Great way to get out of the city and disconnect. Open late and informative mountain reports. Get the triple play or early season pass it s a great deal!!

It was fine. I went when it was winding down for the season. If you are intermediate/ ok or advanced, you may want to use the 'blue' trails. The green trails have a numerous kids and adults that take wide carves, so it is frequently awkward to get by them, sometimes impossible.

The eating area is very congested and some of the people was very rude. Instead of eating drinking and leaving so the next visitors could do the same. It seemed as though many people were being inconsiderate of others waiting to sit down to eat.

Great Mountain. Been going for a while seems like they make fresh snow everyday. If you are an experienced skier, I don't recommending going on weekends 12-4. Crowded with inexperience skiers. Currently they only have one main trail open on the Vernon peak. Black diamonds are closed blue trails have grimy snow. There isn't a large variety of trails for experienced skiers I hope they open more trails soon.

Good times at a small mountain with plenty of trails. This season was great but beware when the winter is warm you cant expect much since the location is not super elevated or north.

I was here about a year ago and have been dying to go back ever since. For a while it was called Mountain Creek Waterpark and they recently started calling it by its old name Action Park. The reports of the park being dangerous were from the 1970s. I never felt in danger there. I prefer this park over Hurricane Harbor any day.

Mountain Creek is an interesting place- and it breeds interesting experiences. It has two separate areas- Mountain Creek North and Mountain Creek South. I recommend neither. If the idea of driving an hour or two to ski appeals to you- I hope an inch of watered down snow and lifts built in the 1960s do as well. This resort (as their largely decieving Instagram account markets it) is home to some of the most obnoxious(and pot-smoking)snowboarders in the entirety of the U.S. Prepare to be cursed at on an hourly basis. And regarding the food/lodging at Mountain Creek, only one word is suitable: pathetic. The chairs and benches are covered with bubble gum and only god knows what other substances, while the bathrooms smell like they haven t been cleaned since Tupac was alive. Besides serving as a decent location for high school ski racing, Mountain Creek is a ski resort I would recommend you pass by as you head for Bellayre, Whiteface, Killington, or Gore(or any functioning, pleasurable ski area for that matter) because Mountain Creek is an utter nightmare that screams: DO NOT SKI IN THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY. Thank you for listening to my TED Talk.

Mountain Creek isn't the biggest mountain in the world, but they do a grest job with snowmaking and grooming. They also have a whole peak for a snowboard park. All of this and its only a little over an hour from Manhattan.

Wish we got more snow but fun place and local. Prices could be a tad cheaper though, otherwise great place to get some boarding in. Haven't been to the waterpark in years so I can't comment yet.

Love this little ski spot. Fake snow worked just fine. The main base lodge is new and beautiful on the inside and out. Very cozy! Was a bit disappointed the biergarden wasn't open during the week but made do with the upstairs bar. Loved that the mountain wasn't too crowded.

Decent resort . The lines can be rediculously long especially since there is a separate line for everything you need before you can start your runs. The prices are good compared to other places and the food is over priced resort food, like most places. It's close and easy to get to from alot of places so it's super nice to be able to snowboard without going on a whole overnight trip that could up the price by hundreds.

Got in and out of Vernon fast on a weekday, (from Long Island) lowest ticket prices in the area. The mountain was extremely well covered with snow, considering how warm it's been. Lift lines were short, and Red Tail Lodge/lobby were extremely well maintained.

Nice rental area (boots and helmet downstairs, poles and skis outside up the stairs). Lockers are pricey but comparable to Hunter/Camelback and they're easily accessible from the rental/stairs. Bathrooms were fine, cleaner than other mountains in the area. (Saw some flame about that on other reviews, disagree with them.)

We didn't eat there but the cafe looked nice. We did however enjoy the Biergarten and their reasonable prices and good selection. The beginner area is fully staffed with instructors and they're very interactive with pointers and tips, nice setup also with the two magic carpets.

The beginner area to the left of the mountain is set up really well, and the orange net at the top is a nice touch to prevent other skiers from flying down into that area.(Camelback is connected for context and the hill is really crowded.)

The main lift is a really cool gondola that fits 4-5 people are gets you up top really quickly with easy walk on/off access so you don't have newer riders stopping the lift line frequently.

I really enjoyed the day here and will definitely be coming back in the near future. Would love to see you guys do something with the old track under the gondola (like Basilisk at Camelback) with the bank turns.

Does not seem to be a friendly place if you are not the same color. The TV's are 24inch and their ironing boards are half size. I called for room service and they arrived 3 hours later. No scheduled activities for your week stay. You pretty much have to entertain yourself. People are shock at either how tall my 3 sons and I are and carry ourselves and/or they look at you as though you don't belong here. You get more of it when you ventured out.

Huge location with many slopes but way too busy on my last visit. Took over an hour to get checked in and receive rentals. Once I got my skis, they were the wrong ones and too small for my boots. Had to go back down the steps and exchange them. May visit again but not on a weekend.

This place has really been evolving the past couple years. Snow making is way better, more terrain park, faster lifts. I myself get a season pass every year, weekdays there is barely anyone there. Can't wait to see the improvements they do in the years to come.

It's definitely advised to at least come here once for the downhill lovers. You need a proper downhill bike, which may be rented for $1000/day or $50 for half a day. You may be able to survive most of the downhill trails on a good mountain bike, but you'd be missing out on the fun. The cross country trails are so so and not worth coming here for.

The whole Mountain Creek Resort area is a fantastic year round vacation destination. In the winter time, you have some prime time skiing and snowboarding action on 2 beautiful mountain tops. North and South are 2 great winter mountains. South is great for your terrain and tricks area. In the summer time, you have Action Park, an extreme water park built off the side of the mountain. You also have golf, mountain biking, hiking on trails and many nice restaurants. All year round is a perfect time to go and visit this beautiful mountain resort.

Really enjoyed it, I would definitely recommend it for everyone,
I sew people of all ages and everyone seemed to be having a good time,
The only reason I'm not giving it the 5th star is because a lot of times you have to walk long distances bearfooted up hills on regular pavement with stones, even if you do bring or buy slippers they ask you to take them of before going to the ride which is not near at all and when you get off you have to circle all the way around to get it, all bearfooted!
I would suggest having some sort of rubber carpet or anything more comfortable, but besides that it is awesome.

mountain creek is very Great to learn they have great instructors and I 100% recommend trying out mountain creek they serve food in the lodge and they have different hills and a bunny slope for beginners and then working up to another hill before you go up there so you re ready it s very clean to go to mountain creek!

Great place for skiing. There is certainly no real snow here. But thanks for that. There are guns from which the snow flies. At the top of the mountain there is a cafe. You can sit warm. On the mountain is very cold. A wonderful place to stay for the whole family. Recommend.

Great local place to go skiing or riding come winter. The accommodations are really nice as well... Bringing a piece of Vermont to New Jersey... The rates are reasonable as well... As for the reviewer who tried to use a single triple play for a whole family... There is not a single mountain in the country that has triple plays that will let you do that... That works against the concept of the triple play, bringing you back to the resort at least three times... I've had a season pass for five years, as well as one to mount snow in Vermont and for the money and location mountain creek is awesome!

Went there for a wedding on the top of the mountain. Ceremony was great but, a bad storm was in sight saw lightning. Then the storm started they stopped the gandala and left all of us up there. With only the bridal party tent open, it started getting bad , rain, wind blowing .the staff was running around trying to figure out what to do, finally they opened up a few storage rooms for some of us, not near enough room for us, I stayed outside so my family could try to get in to a pump house building that must have been 90 to 100 degrees inside. The staff was running around like this was the first time that this happened. It took at least 40minutes to get a van up there. Our group was over 150 people. The ceremony was at 6. We didn't get everyone down until 8 .after they turned the gandala back on. This was a very dangerous situation lighting was striking close to us!!! They had no back up plan for us. We also lost precious time at the cocktail party.

I went to the water part, it was a lot of fun. I like the 20ft drop! Its too easy for me but it was still fun! All the water attractions are fun, but you ahve to walk there and the walk ways are rough on your feet,

Hard to explain how wildly disappointed we were. I used to come here as a kid and myself and a group of friends decided to buy a 4-pack mid week ticket pack online, and I couldn't have made a worse decision. YOUR STAFF, OR LACK THERE OF STAFF DOESNT DO ANYTHING. One bar open, out of four?!and one bartender all day?! There were AT LEAST 6 rides closed(website, of course listed ONE) Half of some rides open, TERRIBLE OR NO SIGNAGE EVERYWHERE. INSANE LINES, WILDLY UNORGANIZED, OVERPRICED EVERYTHING. by noon you were out of waterproof holders for your customers to buy so you just close the Cabana shop?!? A fist fight broke out in a line of people waiting for tubes and your staff DID LITERALLY NOTHING. When the fight was caused by them, because they don't even know what to do when people cut IN LINE. I WOULD NEVER EVER COME BACK TO THE WATER PARK EVER AGAIN.
