Vera's House of Bridals Review

Bridget listened so well to my wants and ended up pulling the perfect dress for my special day! Vera s made me feel wonderful and I would recommend to any bride looking for the experience and perfect dress!

My wedding is in January so I had a short window to find my dress and Tammy was wonderful and really listened to what I was looking for. With only 3 months to plan I was afraid my options would be very limited. Tammy never made me feel that way and I walked out with the dress of my dreams! Everyone else at the salon was very friendly and helpful. I would highly reccomend Vera's!

I visited Vera's bridal with my sister on the hunt for the perfect bridal gown. We worked with Lisa Clason and she was fantastic! We have visited several bridal salon's looking for the perfect dress. I believe Vera's was our 5th shop. The gowns were beautiful and Lisa did an excellent job of listening to what my sister wanted and what she didn't want. The end result was lovely and a perfect fit for my sister and her wedding vision.

I had an amazing and perfect experience at Vera s picking out my wedding dress! Becca was wonderful and knew exactly what she was doing. She listened to my likes and dislikes in styles and the first dress she pulled for me ended up being the one! Everyone at Vera s made me feel beautiful and gave great advise. Great place to find a beautiful dress! Went dress shopping with my friend, for her wedding, and our consultant Clare was amazing! She was so helpful and patient with my friend who wound up loving the first dress Clare put her in! They also have an great assortment of bridesmaids dresses!

We found the perfect dress at Vera s. After getting alterations done by an outside vendor, we were unhappy with the way it turned out. We called for advice & Vera s went above and beyond to help us.

I have been to the Madison location several times now as my sister and I are both getting married within two months of each other. They let me visit the back room where I found my wedding dress which I love! My consultant was very patient with me and helped walk me through everything! Would highly recommend Vera's as my sister then found her perfect dress (plus size) and my mother had bought her dress there back in the 80's. Love Vera as we had met her at a bridal show. We have been back and found Bridesmaids dresses at a reasonable cost as well as jewelry and veils. Will definitely be back in the future for other party dresses that we may need for future occasions. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Vera's! This was my first bridal gown appointment, and to be honest I was not looking forward to this day. Liz was my consultant and she did an amazing job of making me feel special that day, she was like my personal cheerleader and was able to work with my budget and knew just what to say when my self-doubt kicked in. She understood and was patient when I was being indecisive and didn't try to rush me into a decision. The whole sales team there was great and the energy was contagious, Tammy helped me too and both her and Liz made my party laugh/kept them entertained. I even got to meet Vera herself, and her granddaughter also assisted with finding my dress! I will be recommending Vera's (and specifically Liz) to everyone needing a bridal gown and/or bridesmaids dresses, I'm so happy to be a Vera's bride!

Today I went to Vera's and was a very pleased bride. The building itself is beautiful first of all. I also had a very wonderful consultant who helped me with everything. I found the dress and it was in my price range! I also got to meet Vera herself. She is such a sweet lady! I recommend this place for any bride.

First time shopping for a wedding dress and Bridget was so much fun! She made the entire experience so easy and she was very sweet. I would highly recommend her as a consultant!

Pretty wide selection of gowns, including plus size. Staff is generally friendly, but they are pushy when it comes to sales. Some of the tactics used to push you toward a sale made me uncomfortable and downright worried about the logistics.

Amazing service and amazing options available with many options for all different kinds of budgets. The staff was very helpful and patient during the whole process. Ended up finding the dress and the veil after trying on dozens of dresses else where. I definitely recommend this place for all those looking for the perfect dress!

My experience went pretty great until it was time for me to purchase the dress. I wanted to wait for my sister to come in from out of town to be part of the experience and see it before I purchased it. I got yelled at about how I needed to make a decision and it didn't matter if my sister was there or not. I ended up buying my dress, but I left the store with anger and frustration. The dress was a big purchase, and I did not need to be pressure into it. I'm happy I bought my dress, but I did not like the way it was handled.

Follow up- I received a phone call and they handled the situation very well. I would recommend this place to anyonre.

I am beyond happy with my experience at Vera s. After two failed appointments with Brandi s and David s I was feeling really disappointed. So, I called the morning of and got lucky with an appointment right away. It was Monday morning, that s probably why. We arrived and browsed before my consultant, Saritah greeted us. I immediately felt comfortable and like I had her full attention which is very important for a bride, and something I hadn t felt at either of my previous appointments. She gave us a tour, showed us my room, asked me details about my wedding and myself. Having just met me and only seeing me in my heavy winter jacket, also with me only showing her ONE dress that I kinda liked...I have no idea how she decided to bring back what she did but wow. Every dress she picked for me to try, I loved. But also would have never have picked myself or even paid attention to. I felt gorgeous in everything, which is saying a lot because I m 4 months postpartum and breastfeeding. So, I am currently not feeling my best physically. After a few dresses she brought out THE DRESS. I knew when I saw it on the hanger and started to cry as she helped me pull it up. I cried, my mom cried, my daughters smile was huge. I didn t want to take the dress off. I was so afraid I d never have that feeling and I am so grateful that Saritah gave me this experience. I intend to recommend her personally and Veras in general to every bride I know. Working in the beauty industry, I am fully aware of how important good customer service is, and so that is why I m writing this review. From the moment I called, walked in and left I was treated amazingly. If I could give you more than 5 stars I would! Thank you Saritah!!

I had the most wonderful experience at Vera s! I had the most accommodating stylist, Saritah! She was so wonderful and was full of information and made the whole experience so smooth for me and now my bridesmaids!

I bought my veil from Vera's. Although I was very pleased with my purchase, I was not pleased with the experience. The consultant tried to rush my decision, downplay the cost (it was quite expensive,) and talk me into buying other accessories "right now", because they might be gone. It was ridiculous.

What made me more upset was the way they treated my mother. She was interested in MOB dresses. The one she liked they only had in a very small size, a 4. The consultant insisted that she needed to order the dress and that she should know that she would like it based on how it looked holding it over her body. We ended up getting her dress at another store and were glad we did not order it there. I would not send people to Vera's.

I have had an amazing experience getting my wedding dress at Vera's! I went in to look at some things on clearance because I didn't think I had the time to wait for a dress that needed to be ordered. I picked out around 7 dresses just to try on and see. I fell completely in love with the second dress I tried on. Little did I know that Saritah had snuck this dress into the rest! I had only tried on one dress but the dress she picked out was exactly everything I was looking for and was comparable in price to the clearance dresses I was looking at. I didn't even try on any other dresses. I was little nervous about ordering a dress because my wedding is coming up soon but I got everything I ordered in such a timely matter! Saritah was amazing and even had a suggestion for a make-up artist for my wedding in Vegas. Highly recommend any bride check out Vera's and hopefully you're lucky enough to get to work with Saritah too!!

I had a great experience at Vera's Bridal! I had Lisa as my consultant and she did a wonderful job. She listened so closely to what I was looking for and she immediately found me my dream dress. I really appreciated all of her feedback and wedding tips. She went above and beyond! I was worried I would be overwhelmed and put on the spot while looking for dresses but Lisa made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease. She did not pressure me into any dresses I didn't love and she always made sure I was happy. I left the shop with the perfect dress and I can't wait to wear it on my wedding day! Thank you Lisa!

Caitlin was so sweet and accommodating when I came in to try on a dress back in July. I gave her my budget and a vague idea on what I wanted for a dress and she went above and beyond. It was hard to find a dress with nice lacey sleeves, so she found a lace top piece (jacket) and I could mix and match with whatever I wanted. I went here for the first in time yesterday to shop for my own bridal gown. I had a fantastic experience. The entire staff was warm and welcoming. Everyone was so genuine in helping me find the gown for my special day. I worked with Lisa and even with the little description I gave her about what I was looking for, each dress she brought me was better than the last! I was incredibly impressed by her ability to find exactly what I wanted. She was absolutely fantastic. I can't begin to express my appreciation to her and the rest of the staff and Vera herself whom I was lucky enough to meet :)
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going to Vera's. There's a good chance it will be the only place you need to look.

During these covid times, figuring out how many guests I could bring was a challenge since the state-wide limitations changed a few times. Vera's was professional and always quick at getting back to me.

During the appointment, Corin was incredibly helpful, attentive of my price range and style, and would weigh in when I asked, but not overpower with input as I've heard can happen. As someone who feels anxious about shopping, I was incredibly pleased with how Corin made it smooth and enjoyable. My ladies and I even got to be a bit goofy with singing and dancing and it was fun to see that hopefully Corin was enjoying herself too. I highly recommend Vera's.

I had such an amazing experience! They have a huge selection of beautiful dresses to choose from. I had Tammy as my consultant, who is very knowledgeable in what she does, and made me feel super comfortable as she is very personable and friendly. I also made her pull 20 something different dresses and I never once got the feeling that she was annoyed or rushing to get the appointment over with. I am glad I was able to work with her, but I had a positive experience with each person I came into contact with there. I scheduled a Luxe Appointment on a Sunday and was blown away with the whole experience! I would recommend this to anyone! The ability to browse through the whole store freely without the distraction of other bridal parties and people was amazing.

I had a really great experience with my consultant Bridget trying on dresses! I came in with a specific idea of what I thought I wanted and she listened and brought dresses in that style but also ones that I probably wouldn't have thought to ask for too. ...and then I ended up buying one of the dresses I wouldn't have pulled myself. I also preferred the private room for my mom, sister and I versus some other places where I had to parade out into a public room and onto a pedestal for each dress. I just wish they offered the alterations too!

After a terrible experience at another dress shop, Vera's made my sister feel comfortable and beautiful. Claire was absolutely amazing and ultimately we found "The One" in our first dress! But Claire made sure that we saw what we needed to see to make sure! For all those girls out there dreaming of their Say Yes To The Dress moment, Vera's is the place for you! When I tried on dresses, I was so nervous. I listened to them and their suggestions and they found a dress that fit me so perfectly and looked amazing on me (one I would not have picked out myself.) I was in love.

I picked up my dress a couple weeks ago and fell in love again. I had some concerns over the beads that were twisting and loose. They advised my seamstress could fix them. I got home, and thought about it, and that meant that I would have to pay for the fixing of the beads. And I examined my dress even closer to find out there were rows of beads missing and many beads loose and the top part and boning was twisted. I was SO mad and scared because I heard of horror stories where the bridal shops won't take the dress back to look at it once it leaves the store. I called the store and Renee was so helpful and allowed me to bring the dress back in. Their seamstress, Bobby, went over the beading with me in detail and spent time to make sure all the flaws were pointed out and in a week I got the dress back. I went to pick it up this weekend and they did a phenomenal job fixing the beading and the boning. They were swamped this weekend when I went in so I felt bad being nit-picky, but the boning on the left was still wonky. Renee and her seamstress, Susanna, worked effortlessly on a super busy day to fix the issue and made sure I was leaving a happy customer.

My review is based on the customer service provided. I assumed that when I first picked up my dress, they would have went over it before I tried it on again to make sure that I was trying on a perfectly flawless gown for the price we paid, but I get it, totally, sometimes mistakes happen and it was more of an issue with the designer/designer shop than Vera's itself--the issues with the dress was because it wasn't properly constructed (and that it's sooo delicate). What really WOWED me was Vera's House of Bridals willingness to take the dress back and fix the issue and make sure I was happy at no cost to me. I have worked in customer service for over 15 years and I will tell you that this shop is great. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and I left with a product that I was happy with....even on their busiest day. I didn't get any attitude and didn't feel rushed to leave (especially since I didn't have an appointment) and I didn't feel like a burden. The phenomenal customer service and eagerness to make sure I was a happy bride earns them a 5 star. They did a great job and made me feel beautiful and like I was important.

I was referred to Vera's Bridal by a family friend and I am so thankful we made the 3 hour drive because this place was phenomenal! They had such a wide variety of sizes and styles. All of the consultants we met were also so kind and helpful. I did not feel rushed or that I needed to make a quick decision. I wish I would have gone to Vera s first! I absolutely disdain trying on clothes, especially fancy ones, but when you re looking for a wedding dress, that s the name of the game. I had an AMAZING experience at Vera s today. Jennifer was my stylist and she is the main reason things went so smoothly. I am not someone who makes decisions easily, but she helped me make the easiest decision of my life. The very first dress she brought for me to try was PERFECT. And after trying on about 5 others, that first dress actually ended up being the one! I couldn t believe how quickly and effortlessly she was able to get a feel for what I was looking for and then make it become a reality. I even got to meet Vera herself! I said yes to the dress today! I was so apprehensive going in because I ve watched way too many episodes of Say Yes to the Dress and I was nervous I would be too big or too tall or that the dresses would be too much money. I went to Vera's last week with my mom to pick out my wedding dress and we had an incredible experience! It was everything and more we could have hoped for. I had Tammy as a consultant and she was excellent!! She understood my style, she was very patient, and without her guidance I may not have found the dress I ended up buying! My experience shopping at Vera's House of Bridals was phenomenal. While I thought I knew what I wanted in a bridal gown, I was open to the help and guidance of the in-house expert with whom I was paired, Nicole, and I am so thankful that she was there to steer me the right direction! Nicole is a thoughtful listener and has a great way of interpreting what Vera's guests say, into finding bridal gowns that might best suit each bride. Her upbeat attitude and patience was especially appreciated during my visit at Vera's, and I can say with 100% confidence that I would not have purchased the gown I did, nor even have been able to make the decision I did, without Nicole there to help. THE BEST BRIDAL SHOP!

I went to 9 stores total to find my wedding dress, and Vera s had exactly what I was searching for. Vera s had the widest selection of dresses, and all were absolutely gorgeous! I worked with Tory who was my favorite consultant out of the 9 stores I d been to. I could tell she loved what she does, and she was able to pull soooo many beautiful dresses for me to try on. Also, you have a private room that is well-lit to try on all of the dresses that the consultant will help you into.

Best experience ever! I found the wedding dress of my dreams at Vera's. Tami was my consultant and I swear she is a mind reader. There are so many gorgeous dresses to choose from, how she knows exactly which dresses to pull for each bride I will never know. She is such an expert and so fun and amazing. Vic-TORY! Vera's is a most! Vera's dress selection is massive and their staff is extremely knowledgable about their selection. During my visit, I worked with Tory, who was AMAZING. My sister found a dress online and Tory immediately knew of a similar dress that combined my style and the dress my sister found and returned with it in minutes. And that dress was the one! Tory is incredible at picking up on your style and finding the perfect options. The first veil and belt that she picked out for me were so perfect that I didn't want to see any more and I immediately bought them. Vera's has huge fitting rooms! My fitting room could comfortably seat my mom and three sisters with plenty of space more. There were mirrors at the front and back of the room so that I could see the front and back of the dresses perfectly. There was enough room for everyone to move around and get a 360 view of every dress I tried on. Vera's also has a gorgeous runway with tons of mirrors so that you can see how each dress moves and how they look from every angle. Everyone at Vera's really goes out of their way to make you feel special and make wedding dress shopping an extremely memorable experience. I cannot thank Tory enough for helping me find the perfect dress, veil, and belt for my wedding day! I highly recommend shopping at Vera's!

Made an appointment at Vera's due to my cousin's suggestion, she and my aunt had both purchased their wedding dresses there. I was a little hesitant because I had heard that their dresses tended to be more expensive. I'm so happy that I decided to stop at Vera's because this is where I ended up purchasing my perfect dress! Everyone was so kind and even Vera herself added the stamp of approval and helped me pick a veil! Highly recommend Vera's! :)

We went to Vera s for bridesmaid s dresses when I was 6 months pregnant for a wedding that would take place when I was about 3 months postpartum. Vera s had a huge selection, and we found a beautiful jumpsuit. During the appointment, I could not try the jumpsuit on and ordered the size that was recommended. About a month before the wedding, I tried on the jumpsuit and it did not fit at all. After having the jumpsuit taken in 5-6 inches by a seamstress, it still was quite big. I was very upset with the fit and panicked. Vera s offered to alter the jumpsuit last minute, just days before the wedding, and it fit PERFECTLY. I am beyond grateful to Vera s for helping us find the perfect jumpsuit and for the alterations.

Absolutely loved going to Vera s for my first bridal appointment. I had a special request that they more than helped me fulfill. I brought my mother s wedding dress that she got at Vera s in the early 90s to recreate the photo from the day she got her dress. It meant so much to us! At Vera s, they make sure you feel special and focus on helping you find your perfect dress!

Amazing! We walked in and spent 3 or 4 hours working with Jolene, who was just wonderful. We tried on a few dresses to get a feel for the style I wanted. Vera walked around, helping, offering suggestions, and making the day special. It was just wonderful.

This morning I went in for my first appointment to try on wedding dresses. I was nervous; with some self esteem issues, I hate clothes shopping. But Vera's had wonderful dresses in sizes that I could actually try on! Caitlin was absolutely fantastic. She listened to how I was feeling in each and every dress and made sure I always felt beautiful. She's AMAZING at figuring out the extras -- added sleeves, the veil, etc. She was wonderful to work with, and I'm so glad she was there to help me on this big day. My budget was perfect for Vera's, too! So happy I chose Vera's, and will definitely recommend it to everyone looking for a dress!

Another amazing experience at Vera's!!! Jennifer helped me find the perfect formal dress for a party coming up. I highly reccomend Vera's as well as their Bridal Sewing Studio! They have done a fantastic job time and time again and I will be coming back!

My experience at Vera's was incredible! Vera's was only the second bridal shop that we visited, and we ended up finding the dress! Our bridal consultant Jasmine was AMAZING!!! She was so kind and patient, and very accommodating throughout the whole process. She listened so well to what we were looking for- which is why I believe we were able to find my dress so quickly. Overall, I will always remember this experience and how positive it was. Vera's was also fantastic in terms of COVID-19 precautions (esp. since my mother just had surgery and we needed to have a private room). Without even having to ask, they booked us a private room on the first floor that felt very safe.

Thank you Jasmine for such an incredible experience that I got to share with my mother. I wish I could relive this day over and over again! And thank you to Rhonda, who was so kind and took her time with helping me find the right measurements and dress size to order. This made the whole process so enjoyable- from start to finish. I had searched multiple bridal shops looking for the perfect dress and I found my dress here! I originally came to Vera's to look at another dress which I thought was going to be the dress but ultimately decided I didn't care for it. After feeling disappointed, our bridal assistant Ella brought in a dress that I tried on and fell in love with. I give her full credit for listening to my desires and helping me find the dress of my dreams. I loved that Vera's had private fitting suites and that I was able to look through all of the dresses without feeling rushed. The one thing I was not a fan of was not being able to know who the designer of each dress was until after I had chosen and paid for the dress I selected. It was nice that they had a person onsite to measure and size me for the dress which saved me a lot of money in alterations because I was able to order my dress in a shorter length. My dress arrived soon after the Covid shutdown so I had the dressed shipped to my house which Vera's split the cost of shipping. When I received the dress, it did have some minor brownish stains on the underside of the skirt and some of the stitching along the top edge of the bust was unstitched. Vera's made this right by giving me money back to have the stitching and stains fixed at a place near where I live. Overall my experience with Vera's was a good one and I would definitely recommend Ella to anyone.

If you want to have a great experience purchasing a dress, go to Vera s. I went to one other place but it was just a store not an experience. Everything about Vera s was great. I worked with both Claire and Tammy And they were both knowledgeable patient and awesome!

I first heard of Vera s at a bridal show, where they assured me I could stop in without an appointment. So, the following day I went in on a whim and was blown away with the service Tammy and the rest of the Vera s staff provided. I m positive I found the dress and my mom did as well. All without an appointment! I couldn t be more complimentary of the flexible, yet comprehensive service Vera s provides. We especially loved being able to talk with Vera herself. I highly recommend Vera s to any bride, whether local or traveling from afar like me!

I had a wonderful experience shopping at Vera s. From the moment you walk in the door, the staff is welcoming, calm, and ready to make you feel special. My consultant Abbey was a gem. She truly listened to my likes and dislikes and suggested I try dresses I never would have grabbed myself. I appreciated her patience and respect for my budget. The seamstress Bobbi was also phenomenal to work with. I appreciated her candor and suggestions for alterations. She even pinned the dress and bustled it while I was wearing it to show me what a difference it would make!

I cannot say enough good things about Vera's. Ericka was my consultant and she was fantastic! I was nervous about finding the dress after having a not so great experience at another bridal store. She knew exactly what to pick and made the appointment relaxing and fun. My only regret is not going to Vera's in the first place! Both Ericka and Vera's far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them!

Vera s is amazing! There are so many dresses to choose from and friendly staff to help you find the one. I was lucky enough to find my dream dress, all thanks to my wonderful consultant, Tammy. Tammy truly went above and beyond. She pulled gowns from my look book as well as listened to my preferences and pulled ones she thought I would love. I ended up choosing a dress that she chose!! Holy cow Vera's is the whole shebang and a bag of chips!!! The experience starts when you walk in the door!!!! From the smell, to the gowns, the stair case and even the blue carpet! My stylist was Tori, she had a gal training with her (I feel bad I cannot remember her name). This is by far the most fun I've had ever dress shopping! Not having to search through the inventory was probably the most convenient thing. Let alone having a stylist who knows what they are doing. Tori was prepared for me and already had a list of dresses she knew fit my look book. Which by the way is the smartest thing you could do when it comes to a dress shop! The preparation was flawless. Even when I didn't really know it Tori kept telling me to try on the same dress. After the 3rd time of putting it on my emotions started taking over! Smart lady she is! I loved the fact there are other stylists, even Vera, walking around commenting on how great you look and what a good fit. They give their own inspiration of what to add to really complete the look. Props to you Tori, thank you for making me feel so special and welcome. I will refer Vera's for the rest of my life. I cannot say more positive things about my experience at Vera's! I have been dress shopping many times (with friends and for myself), and this is hands-down the best service I've experienced. Tammy was so helpful and was determined to find the perfect dress for me, and sure enough, she did! Tammy was patient, knowledgeable, and FUN. You can tell she is truly passionate about her work and helping others. Besides the unbeatable customer service, they have an amazing selection to fit any budget. I highly recommend Vera's (and obviously Tammy). I couldn't be happier.

If I could rate more than 5 stars, I would. After walking into Vera's House of Bridals with no appointment and just intentions to browse for bridesmaids dresses, the ladies there were so warm and welcoming and catered to us 100%. We had quickly explained to them that we just drove over from David's Bridal after having an awful experience.. I highly recommend Vera's to anyone looking for bridesmaids dresses. We had found the dress, were measured, purchased and proceeded to leave with smiles on our faces.

I went to Vera's looking for my wedding dress and everyone I worked with was so helpful! I was very specific about what I was looking for and I'm sure not so great at articulating that, but they were still able to find a dress that was 100 times better than the inspiration photo I pulled up from Pinterest. I left truly blown away with the amazing customer service at Vera's.

We loved Vera s! My sister got hers here and I just purchased mine! Saritah was so very helpful and made us laugh the entire time. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, showing us tricks and tips we didn t even know about. Overall amazing experience and very efficient!

Jasmine was fantastic. She was patient, thoughtful, considerate, and excellent at her job. She pulled dresses that fit my vision and ones that were a little outside my comfort zone--which ultimately led to the dress that was perfect for me. If it hadn't been for Jasmine, I would have been floundering on my own trying to figure out what I liked and didn't like. The whole staff at Vera's was great--I had other consultants popping their heads in to compliment me and provide input. They were so flexible and accommodating with us, working on a tight timeline as I was trying to find a dress while my mom was in town for a short stay. Jasmine totally went above and beyond and came in on her day off to help me choose a dress. I am so grateful I chose Vera's, and that Jasmine was my consultant! Thank you!

I came shopping here today for bridesmaid dresses. All of the staff we encountered were very rude. They were commenting on how we look and how dresses weren t fitting us right. When we finally got measured Bobbi did the measurements and started to become very rude and not listening to our concerns at all. She was giving mixed messages to everybody and would not listen specially when I asked for a smaller size. I then tried on the smaller size and it fit perfectly fine and could have even gone down one more. Don t recommend them at all.

Shopping at Vera s was a great experience! They have a wonderful selection of dresses. Tammy was also amazing to work with! She offered practical advice and made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire experience. I could tell she really cared about me finding the perfect dress and about me being sure about my decision. I had been to a few stores before Vera s and found my dress here much quicker and easier than I expected!

Great experience! Tammy was so kind and accommodating to me and my party. She really knew how to help me find a dress that complements my vision and my body. When I found my dress but wanted to take a night to think about it, Tammy came in on her day off so that I could purchase and size the dress. This was greatly appreciated!

I was surprised Vera's had the dress that I needed to be a bridesmaid, as my cousin picked it out online. I was thankful the price difference wasn't too bad because I would prefer to order from a store like Vera's vs. online. However, I am pretty sure they scammed me into paying the extra $25 "rush shipping" fee. Since the bride was out of state, I later found out the other bridesmaids order their gown after me, and did not have to pay a rush shipping fee when we all ordered from the same designer with the exact same dress. Vera told me "if you dont do the rush shipping, the dress is estimated to arrive the first week of november". I don't think it is a coincidence that I told them the wedding was November 4th...

I have also experienced not so competent workers at Vera's. Very awkward at my fitting and having a hard time understanding the basics of what I needed to order. I had to correct the woman several times just to verify the gown color was right before they ordered.

When I got the gown, i questioned whether the color was correct (whether the online image was wrong, or did Vera's screw up). I called just to confirm with them that they have in their computer system that the color was indeed "teal". Just to tell the bride that yes, i got the right color and the online color she looked at (NOT on vera's site) was inaccurate. All I wanted was confirmation from them to tell the bride.

The woman I talked to who called me back several days later continuously assumed that I wanted to return the gown and insisted that they cannot do anything. That is not what I was asked. I ended up hanging up because she clearly was not listening and I was sick of being told I cannot return because it's not a thrift store. As I was completely aware.... I just wanted to assure the bride.

Safe to say I hate being in weddings even more and will not be coming back to Vera's!

I found my wedding gown at Vera s and I can t recommend them enough! I thought I knew exactly what I wanted going in, but felt very overwhelmed about half way through. I loved a dress that was over budget, and I was having a hard time wrapping my head around spending that much on a dress, no matter how much I loved it. Tammy gave me a moment, then reminded me that while your wedding dress is important, it s not the most important thing about your day. If, at the end of the day, you walk away married to the person you love, that s all that matters. That helped me tremendously! I ended up choosing the dress that I loved (even though it was over budget) because I couldn t imagine marrying my best friend in anything else. Tammy helped keep it real, while also encouraging me to choose what I loved. Not pushy, but real. I honestly can t recommend Vera s enough! If you re looking for your gown, do yourself a favor and go to Vera s!
