DON T RENT FROM VENTURE REI Very unprofessional, home was not inspected prior to move in. AC has not been working for weeks and when it was finally replaced no compensation offered. Attempted to deduct re location costs due to AC being 82-88 degrees and then they threaten eviction. Several leaks in kitchen and master bath took over 10 days to repair. I had no mailbox key for 2 weeks then notified former renter had it with access to my bank and check info. Home was dirty and blinds disgusting which also took weeks to replace a few. Exposed wires I fixed myself and rust in ice maker still not fixed. AGAIN DON T RENT FROM VENTURE REI. Worst experience I have ever had and I am a home owner who moved from another state to work in a hospital.
Update: They have now made clear statements of retaliation and are refusing all repairs. The dirty unkept condition of this home is nothing like the pictures. **DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY**
Update: I had to get an attny involved over fit and habitable living conditions. They came and decided the rusty ice maker is fit but when I offered a glass of ice water they didnt want it. July 2020 updated pics at bottom.

Thomas Espinosa is the worst listing agent out there. He has no idea how to price a property appropriately. Has unrealistic expectations. Takes forever to return phone call and the list goes on. Never use this realtor!!!
Took forever to ever get back to me. I'd call but their agents were always "in a meeting" but the receptionist never could tell me when they'd be free. Eventually ghosted me when I was trying to get a place through them, though they were more than happy to take my application fee, which I had to either mail or go in person for! It's 2019, why is there no online option? Very unprofessional.
****BEWARE****Never do business with this company....you will regret it....look at all other reviews....find out for yourself if you choose....I would give less then 1star if that was an option....the way they conduct business is not deserving of even the 1 star. Some would even say UNLAWFUL.
Venture REI has managed my property for years. Great service, quick communication and always on top of the maintenance on my properties and taking care of my tenants. Dan, Jeremy and their team do a great job.
When my small apartment complex switched to Venture REI a few months ago, I had to say I wasn't very happy about it. I use public transportation & it takes 3 busses and over 2 hours 15 minutes one way to get there. That's an almost 5 hour trip to pay my rent!! My attempts to pay rent online through a Tennant Portal App, failed every time. I became stressed & extremely frustrated at the inconvenience & difficulty I had trying to pay my rent.
This is the first time I have ever written a review for anything, but I absolutely feel the need to express my experience with Venture REI. Their customer service went above & beyond. An employee named Ruby never gave up on trying to help my daughter & I set up our online payments through the Tennant app. It took 3 days to set everything up & she was kind, patient, knowledgeable, extremely devoted in her commitment to help us.
I've had nothing but good experiences with all the employees at Venture REI. It's obvious they are a wonderful group, willing to spend their time helping Tennant's that are in need!
I cannot recommend working with Venture REI to buy or sell a home. They will approach you with a nice song and dance about their reputation, specifically in the Scottsdale area. They will flaunt how they are able to sell homes and find homes for their clients in record low times (2-4 weeks). This is where the customer service and delivery on their word ends.
The real estate agent we worked with at Venture REI was not professional. We told him what area we were looking for houses in, but he was showing us houses mostly outside of our area of interest. Additionally, my wife and I work during the week, so we expected our agent to accommodate us during weekday evenings or on weekends. However, our agent prioritized his personal life and activities, and often told us he was not available when we were, resulting in us missing out on at least 2 houses that we wanted to buy.
Venture REI will nickel and dime you for anything and everything. They did not have an open house for us after almost 30 days on the market, and they urged us to lower our asking price to speed up the sale of our home. This was confusing because when we set our price, we (my wife, myself, and our Venture REI agent) looked at comps together and determined our asking price was fair and reasonable. On top of this, our agent was pushing us to accept the first low-ball offer we received, telling us this was probably the best offer we would get. Funny thing is, we received a full price offer 5 hours later, and we began closing the next day... Riddle me that. We would have walked away from $20k+ if we listened to our agent; this is a completely unacceptable level of service from a real estate "professional".
We had cameras in our home that we were selling, so we were able to see and hear people who were interested in purchasing our home. One of the most appalling things we experienced during this process was that our real estate agent was showing our home and talking trash about the layout, floors, and style of our home. Are you kidding me?? Our agent is supposed to be on our side, and working with us to help sell our home! Are you that idiotic that you don't understand how this relationship works, who does that?! We then heard our agent say that "we" would be willing to make concessions and reduce our price due to the items the potential buyer did not like about our home...My wife and I never agreed to this, and our agent pulled that BS (beautiful story) out of thin air, thinking he could convince us to agree.
Upon finding our new home, we found 6 things that needed to be fixed before we could close on the home. Out of the 6 things that needed to be fixed, 2 were not fixed satisfactorily. Without going into too much detail, this resulted in half of our house flooding the first day when the water was turned on. This won't surprised you- Venture REI did nothing for us and told us to take it up with our home inspector and warranty company, who did nothing because they said they hadn't inspected the leaky pipe during the home inspection... Great! Why did we pay you to perform a home inspection if it wasn't going to be thorough enough to catch critical issues that lead to flooding of our house?!
Overall, I would summarize Venture REI as the following: lack of customer service, no diligence (spelled our names wrong on the closing paper work more than once), and arrogant. Working with Venture REI made an already stressful situation more stressful for us; I rate this company a "F".
I had to request maintenance as a renter with Venture REI. I used the online portal, put my request in and they called me almost immediately. To my surprise the maintenance person came out the next day and resolved one of the issues. The second issue required a professional service and Venture REI arranged for that service the very next day! I was impressed by the professionalism and speed that I received my service. I very much appreciate it. As a renter, I am not used to that speed of service and it was a welcome change.
