I've worked here for almost a year now and I absolutely love it. Hours are very flexible. The only requirement is that you schedule 3 full shifts a week. Other than that schedule is changeable on a weekly basis. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Survey's are conducted in a very professional way - if the respondent doesn't want to take the survey, it's a simple thank you and then coded as "Not Interested". The building is kept extremely clean and the environment is very professional and welcoming. I absolutely love working at Venture Data.

venture data is actually a really good professional business. if you had a bad experience with it, it was the employee you were talking with that was unprofessional. DUH
Venture Data may be one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever experienced. While on a business call on my cell phone, they called my house. I had to take the call because it kept ringing. Upon answering it, I was asked for my opinion on political issues. I politely explained that it was inconsiderate to ask people about their personal political views. She sighed and then kept going. I immediately asked to be put on their do not call list. She ignored my request three times and then hung up on me. I went online and found the number for their main office in UT. When I called that number, I spoke with a gentleman named Matt. I tried to explain my frustration and asked for a supervisor. He said it was him. When I explained what happened he sighed as well and went on to tell me "So we called you. I don't see what the big deal is." I'm not sure if sighing is part of their corporate culture, but rude responses definitely are part of it. While I explained that I was on a business call, and that being interrupted was a big deal, he had the nerve to put me on a speaker phone because as he claimed "he was busy and had work to do." Ironic. When asked who I could speak with at a higher corporate level or from the Ohio call center who called me, he refused to provide me with any names or numbers. I promised "busy" Matt that I would spend the next few months making sure that I let everyone know about my experience with Venture Data. All it would have taken was a heartfelt apology and a corporate contact who handles complaints. Instead, they hung up on me, refused to provide me with contact info and gave me unprofessional opinions about my time. If you ever receive a call from Venture, I suggest you ignore it and avoid the unprofessional experience.
I worked there for over a year. These people are kind, caring and human. They really excel in accommodating handicapped, students with crazy school schedules, single moms, older folks like me who are tech challenged, and people who just need temporary part time hours to hit a short term financial goal. The work is easy; auto dialers call out, you do scripted surveys around the country on political and environmental issues which are always changing. No selling. Zero. Whenever it's not busy you can be on your phone texting or doing Facebook between calls, or reading. Who does this? What employers give you that kind of freedom? Only VD, that I know of. I wish this had been my first job, I'd still be there. Only reason I left was because I moved. I'm happy to give Venture Data 5 stars, would give more if it were possible. Whatever your life situation, these folks will work with you. Really.
Worked there for a month. Absolutely HATED it. They say flexible schedules, but not really. They will make you conduct "push polls" with people in other states that DON'T WANT TO DO THEM. Do NOT work for this company.
The work itself is very simple and easy and the environment is super chill. You get to make your own schedule which is nice, but just because you schedule yourself doesn t necessarily mean you will have work that day. The work depends on whether the company has a survey to do or not, or how many completes they need to finish said survey ex: only need a few more completes to finish the entire thing, don t need as many employees to come in.
If this is your second job then it s amazing, or if you are in high school and want some extra money, it s great. You can even do homework in between calls. However if you are relying on this job to pay the bills, good luck.
This company called me yesterday for a supposed "poll" on South Dakota issues, which gradually turned into a long listing of the virtues of Kristie Noam, Republican candidate for Governor of South Dakota, as contrasted with mostly disparaging remarks about the Democratic candidate Billie Sutton, focusing on how he supports raising taxes. The company refused to reveal who is funding this "poll." The American public deserves transparency here. It certainly had the earmarks of a push poll to me.
