Not sure how the food is, but I think the drinks are the highlight. Innovative menu where they indicate the darkness of the beer and margaritas from more sweet to less sweet. Great visualization! Also, really showcases the variety of craft beers that they have on tap. Too bad they were out of some of the popular beers like Downtown Brown, but maybe next time!!

Vatos is actually a Korean-Mexican fusion place, so you can also get some interesting Makgeolli (a Korean alcoholic beverage from rice or wheat mixed with nuruk) cocktails, which you don't see quite often.

Hope to be back soon!

I went there for lunch with some friends and the Food there was absolutely delicious, I got the Baja Fish tacos and the Fish Fajita Burrito and they were absolutely spot on for me. I also tried my friend's pork taco and that was really good as well. A little bit on the expensive side but overall would go again for sure.

Great ambience for an evening out. The sheer variety of fare will spoil you however it seems that management decided to hold back on the flavor from cuisines that are know for their bold, no-holds-barred taste - Mexican and Korean. On the whole the food was nice and the portions generous. I'd still go back to run through the rest of the menu.

Absolutely enjoyed the food here. I didn't know Mexican Korean was such a good combination My only gripe is that the tacos are quite small. The other dishes that I tried such as the quesadilla and burger where plentiful and delicious.

Excellent food! Across our dishes we had 5 unique flavorful sauces. For 2 people we ordered 6 tacos (2 each Baja fish, chimichurri chicken and carne asada beef) and pork tamales plus got a free side of chips and salsa. Was filling enough, to be comfortable. Only complaints: carne asada beef was overly salty and sauce is spicier than expected

Delightful Mexican food. Flavorful tacos. Place is kinda difficult to find so call them if you cant find it. Reservations highly recommended as a lot of after office drinks happen here. Wide variety of cocktails and other beverages. the cheese dish was a very pleasant surprise

Absolutely delicious carnitas tacos and kimchi fries. Also a very generous selection of craft beers on tap. During happy hour which is until 7pm, these beers are 1 for 1. That means for $12 or $13 you get a solid 2 points of craft beer from either Coronado brewing co or lost coast brewery. Highly recommend. one star docked off for the uncomfortable chairs and small tables.

The food's pretty good (especially the kimchi fries and chicken wings) but it's quite noisy and definitely not the place to go if you wanna have a proper chat over dinner.

Also, the aircon above us was leaking but the staff couldn't move us to another table as it was a full house. We realised almost all the tables had leaking units above them anyway - we saw some droplets falling right into this guy's cocktail. Yikes. The management should really do something about this.

They try to specialize in tacos and margaritas. I especially enjoyed their margaritas which are mixed with beer/ciders. The beers/ciders are kinda planted on top of the margarita and slowly flows out as u drink. They gave a menu which guides you on a scale of sweetness (accurately). Tacos are less impressive. Crowd is alittle young, but definitely not an issue.

Managed to stumble in during happy hour with 2 for 1 on craft beers, thought it was a great value and good selection of bottled brews. We ordered tacos on corn tortillas and were delighted with them. We live in Kuala Lumpur and Mexican food is hard to come by. The portion of meat is substantial and filling. We found that the order of two tacos was enough for 1 person. Service could be a tad more attentive. A few people in our party had their orders taken wrong and some drinks were forgotten.

Vatos was packed when I visited and had a lively buzz with friendly staff. People seem to like the huge cocktails, which at many tables seemed to last diners throughout dinner from start to finish. The signature menu of Mexican with a Korean twist looked appetising but unfortunately three of the four dishes I tried were disappointing: cheese and sauces dominated all the flavours to the point that you couldn't taste the chicken in the taco or the pork in the quesadilla. The only highlights were the jalapeno spring rolls and classic margarita.

Great food and ambience, you might smell a tad oily after leaving the restaurant though. This is probably due to their open kitchen.

Alcohol servings are huge, good for 2 pax. Food to recommend - Kimchi Fries, fish baja and their wings.

I live in the outskirts of SG so stumbling on Vatos via UberEats was a happy occurrence.

I ordered two items that weren't exactly inexpensive for one person, but both were delicious enough to be worth the price.

The spicy chicken tacos were served with soft shell tortillas- messy and great tasting with fresh ingredients and tender chicken that came with two sauces. Albeit not very spicy but still pretty memorable.

The tequila wings were reminiscent of your typical fried Korean wings with a sweet and spicy kick balanced with the offering of blue cheese.

Enjoyable meal and my now new go to for Taco Tuesdays/everyday.

Drinks were good! I enjoyed the margaritas and some ale.
For food, beef nachos were really good, baja fish tacos is also a great choice. The kimchi fries were also good.
Don t order their quesadillas, it looks and tasted like an omelette and very oily. No cheese, no quesso!

Enjoyed the prawn tacos and seasoned fries. Nutella nachos were quite good, but only the nachos at the top were coated in nutella, the portion is quite big so would recommend to order only if you re with a big group.

Edit: I ve been here a few times already and while the food is still good and good vibes the chairs are soooo uncomfortable. I also had an issue where the waitress quoted us an incorrect price and instead of offering to adjust my receipt a few dollars I was given a shoulder shrug and a lame explanation that the original waitress didn t understand the promo pricing. I left without a fight because the few dollars didn t mean that much to me but it will affect me coming back in the future.

Original Review: Awesome food! I love coming here in groups or one on one and always get great food and yummy margaritas. My favorite is the pork belly tacos. Be sure to make reservations as it does get filled fast. Popular place for good reason.

Been there multiple times. Complimentary corn chips and salsas for the table. The tacos are a little inconsistent, some days just right some days dry (not enough salsa/dressing). The wings with the blue cheese dip are always good.

Can get quite noisy though.

Food wise i will say it anything tp shout about. I've had better elsewhere for a similar fashion. This is of course taking into account price point disparity. Not a place that I'll venture back again by choice. Yet if others say so, i'll be game. Just another one of those get by type of establishments I reckon.

Overall experience was great, good ambiance, good food, reasonable price. What caught our attention was this Filipina wearing specs (We asked where she is from ^^, and thats how we know)She is very accomodating and very very good customer service(Something we look for in a restaurant we dine in, aside from good food and of course reasonable price). Keep it up Vatos South Beach Sinhapore and Good Job Ms Philippines wearing specs.

Best tacos I had in Singapore. Their menu is kind of Korean-inspired Mexican, with a lot of Korean elements.
First basket of nachos was on the house. Tacos 1: Street Carnitas was so flavorful! Love the spiciness, it totally bring up the flavorful of pulled pork. Tacos 2: Baja Fish, the fish was crunchy in the outside and tender inside, I love the taste too. Taco Tuesday means you pay 3 tacos at the price of 2, better reserve table in advance on peak hours i.e. after work hours, can be full house. Vatos Ritas (their version of margaritas) are instagramable, will be better with stronger alcohol.
Don t really have dessert menu, except for Nutella Nachos. Hmmm we didn t go for it cuz we don t wanna get tacos overdosed.
Service staff are friendly and helpful though.
Note: high chair seatings are not comfy.
Will definitely come back for more tacos!

Liked the atmosphere. Their specialties are their drinks, especially the beer/cider mixed margaritas and their Makolitas. Guy friends tried their craft beers and said it was not bad. A little pricey, drinks average about $30.

Came here for dinner. Thought it was an authentic Mexican restaurant and turns out its a fusion Korean-Mexican. We ordered 2 plates of different tacos (pork belly & pulled pork) and 1 plate of quesadillas. They all tasted fantastic. Too bad we were allocated the tall table with high chair close to the entrance. Had a little concerns toppling from my seat.
They also had outside dinning. The ambience was nice and romantic. However, I felt that dinning outside with just a couple of candles on each table can hardly help to customers to see each other at the table. Furthermore on a hot and humid night, I would rather dine inside.

The tacos are great, though abit small and pricey (3 for $15). The tortillas are soft, warm and thin, and the ingredients are pretty generous and delicious. The combination is very tasty and reminds me of the good American tacquerias. However I felt the fusion Kimchi Carnitas fries are abit overrated. Kimchi and fries... Nah.

Frozen margaritas are very large but a tad watery. Guess that's a preference thing, but I like mine short and strong.

The food was good but a little expensive.

The service was fine but I was dripped on by the Air Conditioning throughout my stay.

Have been here about 5 times since they first opened about 7 months back, bringing different friends to try it. The aircon can be stronger - gets a bit stuffy since the kitchen is open air.

I love the tacos and burrito bowls! Very flavourful and tantalising on the tastebuds. Interesting take on nachos as well drizzled with Nutella! My friends are impressed with the tequila wings and interesting drinks. Love the vibes from this place. Celebrated my birthday here and they were very accommodating and my friends and I had a good time!
P.S. Try sitting by the bar and be inspired by the beer taps and free entertainment by the bartender!
P.P.S. Suite 26 is just above!

This place is conveniently located in South Beach ...

This place is conveniently located in South Beach Tower and one can easily get to from the esplanade MRT station. The restaurant serves Mexican - Korean fusion food. To be honest I am not so much a fan of fusion food, they usually can't get either right. The place was nice enough. We got a table outside that was high tables and high chairs. That was quite a mistake, for shorter girls like us, the stool was too tall and the whole time it was uncomfortable. The food, I did not find too impressive. We had the tacos which was supposed to be their signature I think and they were not nice. The taco fillings were okay, but the tortilla base was kind of undercooked and just not nice. Portion sizes were kind of weird. Tacos were rather small and the burrito bowls were huge. I tried a little bit of the burrito bowls and they were not too bad. The best things we had there was perhaps the chips. Oddly, we did not see any desserts on the menu at all. Not sure if it was another menu or that they did not have any at all. This is not a place I would rush to go back.
