Expecting an employee to work 2 days after getting their wisdom teeth removed while on Hydrocodone is absolutely absurd. If he were to improperly locate he could KILL labor workers! Not to mention he would be driving your company vehicle while on pain medication! Then you fire him even after he gave you weeks notice that he would need 3 days off? Shame on you! Do not work for Vannguard Utility Partners!!!

I was t-boned by Vanguard Utility employee, Philip S, driving a Kia Soul Iowa plate G0A 253 in Galena, IL. The driver was looking down at his phone and not paying attention. The driver was incredibly rude - he did not apologize or ask if we were ok. He took responsibility but kept stating, this is the last thing I needed today.
A passenger in my car hit her head and was diagnosed with a concussion. The damages to my car totaled $8,200.
The process of dealing with Vanguard and their insurance company, Travelers, has been awful and unbelievably time consuming. There is significant damage to the door pillar (which is STRUCTURAL) and Travelers REFUSES to pay for a new part. They will only pay for a used part from a TOTALED vehicle despite the body shop recommendations. The body shop said it s not safe to put in refurbished parts in a car s structure. Because of the difficulty with Travelers, we directly reached out to Vanguard. We spoke with Tracy who directed us to Mike. When Mike returned our call he was incredibly rude and unhelpful. We then emailed and spoke to the President and CEO, Randy Bern. He refused to help and stated that Vanguard lets the professionals handle it. He did not give us the time of day or respect. They clearly don t care if people are safe or not.
I cannot believe that this process has been so difficult and time consuming. The Vanguard employee, Phillip S, HIT ME and took responsibility. Vanguard clearly DOES NOT CARE about the safety of the public. Thank god we escaped with just whiplash and a concussion. This could have been extremely bad. Vanguard needs to hire safe drivers so no one else gets injured or worse.
Expecting an employee to work 2 days after surgery and operate machinery while taking prescription painkillers for wisdom tooth removal, extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend people to do business with this company nor would I recommend working here.
I worked for this company and pushing all pride aside.. I was evicted and homeless trying to provide for my family. I had to find a hotel for us to stay in amd the most affordable one was a half hour away. After our stay at the hotel.. The slumslum manager took my 100.00 deposit due to a "stain" on comforter. After making me wait 20 mim at check out counter. We had words, I let him know he just took unjustly from a homeless family. Next day, my mamger calls and asks what happened. About three to fourhours after.. I was asked to meet my manager at Burger King.. No reasoning.. We met and tgey asked me to remive my things from the vehicle and FIRED ME. After asking around, I found out it was due to me driving my cimoany vehicle" out of my area". Did I memtion.. i was homless?? I HAD TO! MY SUOERVISOR LET ME KNOW HE TURNED IN MY HOURS AND THAT WAS 74HOURS AND HOLIDAY 8 HOURS ON ONE PAY PERIOD AND A TOTAL OF 9 ON THE NEXT. I GOT my check and they paid me for a toral of 44 hours!!! Due to thier actions, I lost the home I was finally going to get my family. We have little money, little food and no family to help us. Thank you Vannguard. Please, pay me for what you owe me, at least.
They are not a good place to work for they hired me then they stuff happened with one of the works and I went to reapply there and now they don t want me there. I would not wast my time to apply there or have then do your work.
Immediate supervisors and people I worked with are cool. I enjoyed locating and working outside with minimal supervision, but I was fired out of the blue with no explanation until I filed unemployment and they tried (unsuccessfully) to contest it. I found out my previous landlord whom is a drug dealer and user amongst other things, she said that I drove by and shot a small caliber gun at her house while in the company vehicle at 2:30 in the morning. . . That was the reason for Vannguard firing me. However, they didn't even question me or give me a chance to dispute it. I'm still waiting (4 months later) for the police to come and arrest me. I would think that if it were true I and I had shot at someone's house, I'd think the police would have been at least calling me by now. . . Especially since my ex landlord the drug dealer has multiple cameras at her house. . .
