I went in not knowing it was an actual warehouse, and needed to preorder. The woman that helped me was VERY kind and helpful- she grabbed just what I needed and answered some questions I had about the different chocolates. I will order ahead next time but wonderful service!!

Poor descriptions of items and misleading labelling (no photos of coloured items like cocoa butter, and no material listing on cookware). Return policy is pretty bad so you're paying more to return an item that was badly advertised. I'd recommend calling or visiting if possible, but avoid if you live far away and have to rely on shipping. You really don't know what you'll get. Shipping was fast since you're paying for it so that's good, but there are other retailers that have more updated ecommerce platforms

I've purchased a 32 oz Nielsen Massey Mexican pure vanilla extract. It arrived promptly, but the whole bottle tastes and smells like bad alcohol with absolutely no vanilla flavour. I contacted Vanilla Food Co. but they could only give me $20 credit for the next purchase, so I've basically wasted $167! Buyers Beware!

I've ordered twice from this company, once for Valrhona chocolate and once for vanilla beans and it's been flawless each time. The shipping is incredibly quick, even with current events. Ended up making some pretty deadly white chocolate vanilla ice cream with the ingredients - very happy with everything - thanks!

I'm thrilled to find a local shop that carries top tier chocolates like Valrhona in package sizes that make sense for a home baker like myself. Processing/shipping was quick and customer service was great. At a time when other retailers price gouged on yeast at up to $23/lbs, they managed to keep it in stock and at a fair price. I will continue to source all my baking supplies from them.

An excellent source for home baker to small business! Excellent discriptions leave every question answered and the pricing and shipping beats anyone else I came across! If they are sold out just call them, I wanted Ruby chocolate for my wedding and they were fast and accomodating to make sure I could get some in time! They have some awesome gems all through the site to kick any treats or occasions up a notch!

Lovely place to get chocolate, you can pick up your order from the office and save on shipping! You have to call to place our order, and pick up when it s ready. Very nice and helpful people!

I believe this is my first review ever. I bought some products from Vanilla Foods. First time. The address I gave them was wrong. They called me to let me know what happened and how they will ship it again. Michelle was awesome. I recommend buying from this place!!! Excellent service and prices!!

Wonderful small business, good service, nice selection.

Online order system is very old and doesn't allow any modification to an order. However when you contacted the company directly someone did give me a call back and waived the shipping charges for another order to buy the extra add-on in my order.

After being a customer for over a year, the poor customer service has caused me to second guess my loyalty to their store. Canada Post had lost my package but Vanilla Food Company took 28 days to process a refund after the day it was lost. With 22 emails sent back and forth, i had to regularly check in and ask for updates to be given. Not an ideal way to treat a long-term customer.

A great place for your baking needs! They prefer you to order in advance but they still were able to fill my order when I turned up on Christmas Eve, as I didn't know to order ahead of time. Really lovely ladies. I'll definitely be coming back! While I was there a lady customer recommended their Madagascar vanilla extract and so I spent an extra $25 on a bottle and it's truly amazing. This local store is worth a 5 star review.
