Going to an improv show here is worth it exactly 100% of the time.
Venue is great and has a very nice layout.
Not too big, it retains a cozy atmosphere while having high ceilings, great views from any seat, a big stage and decent acoustics.

It's a good night out for a date or a group of friends.

Pretty limited bar, but enough to drink.

My suggestion is (this was on very good advice from a friend) go early. Get food somewhere else. Head in and get your tickets. Eat your food at the tables by the bar, and head in a few minutes early to beat the line

It was my first time going. I wasn't sure what to expect since it was on a Tuesday and I haven't really been to an improv. I ended up enjoying the show alot and they involved the audience in almost every act.

If you are buying tickets alone, it may be possible to get them even if the show is officially sold out.

We had a terrific time at the Throwdown Event with the local teams performing. We've also attended Rookie Night in the past and at all sessions, we were throughly entertained. Our group came needing some deep laughter and the teams didn't disappoint. Excellent for a birthday outing, dates, or small groups.

One of the most fun things I've done in a while! I've never been before and didn't really know what to expect but we had an absolute blast. Will definitely be coming again

It was a great night of entertainment!! The actors were witty and hilarious.... Particularly the guy who plays the homeless character in the train mystery show. My hats off to him!

Amazing show. Came up from Seattle and stumbled on a show and was blown away.

Great place to take a date. Not too expensive, you can grab a bite to eat somewhere else on Granville Island. Don't sit in the front row if you're shy cause they like to ask those people questions They is small and cozy so you can sit anywhere and have a great time

Hands down the best comedy improv in the city. Great for a date or an outing with friends. I never leave a show without my cheeks hurting from all the laughing

Have been attending shows regularly for 14 years now, never disappointed! Great value for your money, it's basically $20 for 1.5 hours perfect first date, date nights with your spouse, girls night out, you name it

Usually quite funny but the Christmas Queen show was not as good.

I always have a fun time here! My favourite show is the actual TheatreSports where two teams compete against each other in improv war! All of the shows are a lot of fun. The early show is family friendly. The later shows are a little more adult themed so keep that in mind if you intend to go with younger guests.

Right at the entrance to Granville Island! They have many shows throughout the week (check their website for times) and it's very reasonably priced. During the improv show I was at, they had a deal to watch the next show for only an additional $6. It's a fun and inexpensive night out :)

If you go mid week the tickets are cheaper but if you go on the weekend they have the extra late show you can add on for $5 which is super fun.

The improver's do a great job of making the evening fun for everyone.

Easily the most popular improv theatre in Vancouver with a great theatre space, your enjoyment is all but guaranteed. They sell light snacks and drinks which you can bring into the theatre. Cheaper shows on Sunday.

VTSL consistently delivers an entertaining night. If you're having a gloomy, rainy day - stop by their theatresports league shows which run almost every night. Some nights will be funnier than others, but overall you'll have a great time. The bar has a good selection of beers as well. Just don't over do it. You don't want to be the rowdy drunk guy here. The actors are quick witted and they will make you look like a fool!

The improv shows at TheatreSports are absolutely hilarious! You get to see two teams of funny people compete with each other to make you laugh. The average show is an hour long with a 15 minute intermission in the middle. They serve alcohol outside of the auditorium and you can bring your drinks inside.

I rarely, very rarely, laugh out loud at comedy places. Every night at this place, though, there is always at least one instance that will get me laughing. Note that the tables in the front are literally touching the stage. I kinda like being right up there, but choose different seating if that's not your thing. It made my wife nervous.

Great place to go as a part of an evening out. They like to include the audience. We went kind of last minute and luckily got some seats. I recommend buying them in advance, there are no bad seats just better ones that let you judge, easier access out etc...

Absolutely Perfect! I brought my wife to Vancouver and Grandville Island for her 50th birthday. Friends of ours had suggested we take in the Improv show, and the show did not disappoint. The players were hilarious, the skits were fresh and playful, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We could have stayed for hours! Definitely worth the trip down and loved the whole experience. Bravo!

If you go for one of their improv nights you will have the time of your life. It's a great spot if you are out on a date night whether it's a first date or a hundredth date.

head out for something to eat in the market beforehand or grab a coffee in one of the local coffee shops before things start. They have snacks and drinks at events so don't worry about having to bring your own food and beverage. You can get tickets at will-call on the night or online.
