The hateful culture at Vancouver TheatreSports has hurt so many of my friends and colleagues in the Vancouver comedy scene.

Take your family, loved ones, a date perhaps you will have a good time. Order online to save time and I suggest the table seats. Been here a few nights for improv battles and always have a good time. They do have drinks and bar snacks.

Awesome performance! Quaint venue! Decent drink prices.

Some much fun, I highly recommend going here. The improv is very entertaining and good way for you to experience in person as they take suggestions from the crowd

This is my favorite place to take friends in Vancouver. Improv is short for improvised theatre, meaning that the actors are coming up with everything on the spot based on audience suggestions. In other words, every show is unique. These guys never fail to make me laugh, sometimes so hard that my belly hurts! The location is also right across the street from the Granville island brewery, which is great to stop by before the show, and outdoor parking in the island is free

What fun! Like a box of chocolates you never know what you are going to get. Try to hit up the Improv whenever you are in town. The location on Granville Island is great as well as you can browse through the many shops either before or after the show.

So I went here for an improv show with my mom and sister while visiting Vancouver and it was one of the highlights of our trip! The cast had us laughing in tears and were super entertaining. I like that the space is fairly small so you feel like you're a part of the action even from the back. For those people scared of being pulled on stage, they will only take you if you volunteer yourself, so your friends cannot volunteer your name. Good drinks, great time. So glad we stopped by!

Firsr time. Went to the late show and it was so entertaining! Adults only so there was more vulgar content but the stage director and performers did a good job in deflecting some content. And the sound team was spot on!

This place is my favourite way to spend a night out in Vancouver. You'll get drinks, hilarity, talent, and a musical about the UFC (possibly).

Usually very funny, a good night out! Sometimes a bit on the amateur side if you're expecting "Who's Line Is It Anyways" quality, but often actually hits that mark with current and local content.

Great place for an event! Stage is different every time, different cast, themed events, snacks and drinks. Always a place for laughs! And remember, the points don't matter just have a great time!

We had a great time visiting on a Saturday night (when the best performers are typically on). It was hilarious and fun, and the beers were quite reasonably priced. I'll definitely be back!

Great place for a hearty laugh. It always blows my mind how the improv artists can think on their feet. Really nice staff here.

Vancouver theatersports never disappoints (and if it does, they can blame it on the audience!) We do a yearly trek for a friend's birthday, and always leave laughing. A lot of talented players here, a great night out.

The shows are always incredible there but last week the staff was horribly rude and I felt slightly uncomfortable. I think her name was Alana. Otherwise the place is wonderful

My new absolute favourite date night activity! My boyfriend had recently brought me here, as several of our friends had recommended it to us, and it did not disappoint. I swear we had never laughed so hard in our lives! The actors are so witty and quick on their feet. Thanks for the great show! This is a great way to spend an evening with friends or on a date.

The tickets are very reasonably priced and they have plenty of shows throughout the week. Though, I would recommend purchasing tickets online beforehand for preferred seating. We both can't recommend this place enough. Can't wait to come back!

VTSL is a great place to go - I've probably been 20+ times now. Its about the same price as a movie, always a good laugh, and it's good for groups.

This place is amazing. They are all hilarious and I wish I lived near there because I would go all the time.

We went to see "The Big Picture - An Improvised Movie." Maybe we had different expectations, because we're used to watching Second City performances, but we were pretty bored here. It felt like school, teaching us all about the history of movie making, with brief improv that wasn't acted very well, contained annoying delayed sound effects, and a supreme emphasis on only using child-friendly humour. I felt like I was at a performance for children, not adults. We left half way through to watch Netflix instead.

Very funny. It's always a great experience. I recommend buying tickets online, we got tickets when we arrived and seats had limited seats. My party of 4 had to split up.

This is such a fun place to be and the improv artists all have been amazing every time we went. Excellent location too as after the performance you have so many places you can go for a drink and a bite to eat! Highly recommend!

always a great time, though the audience needs to loosen up here! problem with the touristy area is seems a lot of people have never been to an improv show and don't want to be involved with the fun. however, if you DO - this is a great opportunity! good service, great comedians.

Their late night improv show is an hour but had a 15 minute intermission included in the hour.
Some parts were pretty funny, but I didn't even finish my tall boy beer can before the show ended.

This is a fun evening with a great vibe. People of all ages and walks of life seem to enjoy. We go at least once a year.

Really on point, and a good value for the price too. Get the table seating, it s not much more and you get a much more comfortable/enjoyable experience. Also get the beer bucket.

Girlfriend & I had a date night with dinner on Granville Island and thought let's give Theater Sports a try .. was very nervous going in as I thought I'd be put on the spot or dragged up on stage .. I was nervous for nothing! The host and cast were great (and HILARIOUS), crowd participation was encouraged but totally voluntarily, and we ended up laughing for 2 hours straight! Maybe next time I'll try involving myself more as everyone that did seemed to love what they were doing. Highly, highly recommend taking an evening out to enjoy the wonderful artists.

Super fun night. Tons of laughs. I can't wait to go back.

The best show in Vancouver, been many, many times myself with my wife or work. Always hilarious performances, and I always have a great time. Highly recommend this place for anyone seeking good times and laughter.

Grab dinner on Granville Island, then go to one of the evening shows, grab a couple drinks there, and enjoy.

Omg, this place is the best. Every time it keep getting better and better. Great for a date night, night out with friends, or a work function.

I always have a great time at the shows here. Great improvisers and a fun location too. A favourite of mine to take out of towners to.

We were just trying to find something fun to do on a Sunday night and found that VTSL had a finalist show for their Intl competition. It was great. All amazing players and also happy they took my recommendation for opposites: dry and moist. We nearly wet ourselves laughing. I only wish we had come to the 715 show as well. I will definitely recommend and come again sometime.

They put on a great show. Everytime we have gone to watch they have never disappointed.

Great fun! Drinks bought at the bar can be taken into the theatre. Good audience interaction, affordable entertainment.

It is just so much fun! There's a bar that you can bring your drinks into the theater, and a great patio for summer!

Bartender wasn't hospitable at all on our last visit.

this theater sport location is fun. you can take your drinks into the room and if you buy your ticket early enough you can sit at a round table in front. the level of jokes differs per evening.

Great times and good laughs. The show is great every time.

Left.. themes didn't interest me. The girl at the ticket counter was unprofessional. Didn't know anything regarding the skits when asked looked annoyed that we were even there to buy tickets. I would have lost out on $25 pp if another staff person didn't explain what was playing. Oh.. no refunds..

My favourite date night activity! Always a new and exciting show and you might even recognize some of the improvisers on a few tv projects. They also have a great discount ticket deal if you want to stay for another showing the night you go.

Second time back and I will continue to go! Very funny very intelligent and witty! I love the crew here!

Many shows to visit, so please do so, you wil like it.
It's live, no subtitles. Can be hard for non-native speakers.

I found the customer service rep very condescending and the policies around redeeming vouchers inconvenient. I was told that I was not able to make a reservation using vouchers over the phone and should instead make a trip to the box office. I won't bother with this place anymore!

Was there for the Christmas Show 2018. Loved everything about the night. Definitely a place you can go with friends, family or coworkers. Just all round had a blast and hope more people check it out!!

I began coming to see Vancouver Theatre Sports League shows just this past summer and every time I've come it has been good times. I've been to about 5 or 6 performances by now, and find reasons each time to come back. Ticket costs are pretty reasonable for a nice date and some guaranteed laughter.

It's improv - it's always changing and it's never the same twice.

Very much unlike the service here, which is consistently great based on my experience.

Take this past weekend for example, I had brought some friends to see a show - I'd been bugging them to come for a while and so it was their first time. We all got there 30 minutes early and decided to walk around Granville Island to kill time. While we hung out by the water, a cyclist nearby to us hit a chain and was launched off his bike - he was badly hurt (needed an ambulance, wasn't wearing a helmet..). We stayed with the guy until ambulance came carting him off, and in doing so we were late for our show.

When we got back to VTSL, we explained the situation, and at this point my friends and I were getting hungry and bummed out about missing the first half. The staff that helped us out from here were awesome - you know who you are (D). After we had explained what happened with the cyclist, why we were late and that we were pretty hungry, we were promptly recommended a place with some good eats and invited to see the later show at no extra cost! We couldn't have been happier customers! So to make matters even better, while we ate, one of the VTSL bartenders came directly to the restaurant we were sitting in to let us know our new tickets for the later show would be ready and waiting for us at the door. It just felt great to get this kind of treatment.

That late show ended up being hilarious and we all had a great time - with my friends vowing to return to VTSL again. I know I will be.

One of the only places in Vancouver that supports a year round schedule of improv shows and classes. If you're a fan of improv comedy this is the spot.

Been 4 times now, and I have never even been remotely disappointed. Tickets are reasonable, but for the quality of the show, so very worth it

Went to improv for the first time in well over 10 years and it did not disappoint. The comedians were funny, sharp and topical. Great night out!
