Van der Valk Hotel Volendam Review

Tasty ala carte, with the family for lunch all tasty things on the lunch menu and here and there some adjustments due to personal preferences was no problem at all.

Well presented hotel, large spacious rooms with all the comfort extras. Great place for meetings

The doors open with a card, not handy if it doesn't work and that happened to me so ... you can't go anywhere and you have to wait for someone to come ....

Big and clean room, apart from the dust on the radiator in the bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Super mega breakfast varied and plentiful.

There was a bicycle shed where we could use for free. The room was spacious and there was a fly screen in front of the door against the mosquitoes. You could also tilt the door. The beds were comfortable and the television worked well, as did the coffee maker. The bathroom was nice and big with a separate bath and shower. The rain shower also had a separate shower head. The dinner was phenomenal and the breakfast was also delicious!

Good place for families with children. Clean, comfortable. There is a pool. Excellent restaurant at the hotel, but in the evenings it is filled with almost all, so you have to be ready to wait.

Very nice Valk hotel in an idyllic location near Volendam. Bombastic breakfast, cozy rooms and very attentive and friendly service staff. Opposite bus stop runs every 20 minutes to Amsterdam Central Station. The hotel is highly recommended

Everything was fine. Only the room was very difficult to reach. That was a letdown ...

Nice hotel, nice staff. Absolutely online booking - is cheaper than at the reception. The hotel area is a bit rural. It is quiet and you can go for walks in the surrounding parks. The food is good and available around the clock. The price is in the low to medium range. Parking is enough in front of the hotel area available. Access by public transport not so great.

From there easy to walk to the dike in Volendam. Perfect hotel.
Soon we will go to Van der valk Katwoude again for 5 days. We are really looking forward to it again.

Super nice hotell. Like all van der valks . But if you are staying in amsterdam i would not reccomend it . Need to take a bus for 30minutes to get here . It is located in a village on the far outskirts of amsterdam there is not much to do here bit good price and if you want to see the dutch countryside it is perfect

No response to filling out the hotel's questionnaire. We found it more than 10 times best vd falcon. But there is little left of it. Rooms were dusty bathroom was dirty, breakfast first day upstairs there was little choice 2 the day downstairs though. Schnitzel deep fried and juicy bite to the question why deep frying was the answer yes that's how we do it and is the best seller on the menu. Frying pan? Snack bar? Dead flies in the windowsills in the restaurant, what's wrong with a 5-minute walk with a petty thief. All in all a weekend that fell into the water.

Nice and very well-kept hotel, modern rooms, very neat! Friendly service and nice coffee in the room. Highly recommended!

We have acquaintances quite a good hotel and clean toilets also downstairs at the reception. Nothing to complain about.

We spent 3 nights in deluxe connecting rooms with our two children. Neat cleanliness, very pleasant staff. Spacious rooms, bathroom with bath and shower. Swimming pool and gym. Breakfast extremely well served with a wide choice for all tastes !! Bus stop in front of the hotel with direct line to Amsterdam Centraal, super easy and the hotel reception sells the tickets. Very cute village of Volendam. Hotel restaurant with excellent value for money. In short ... stay at the top !!

The van der Valk hotel is a cozy hotel with a coffee room and restaurant area. You can eat delicious food there. The Chateau Briant and the game platter around autumn are delicious and in summer you can enjoy a coffee on the terrace. For activities you can consult the website or your own magazine.

Van der Valk is van der Valk. In other words, still unique in their formula. We were on our way and wanted some food without reservation. No problem and quickly helped at a reasonable price. A must if you are on the road and want something more as a snack.

very good and well-kept hotel. Only you cannot leave your car safely. with us the dashboard was cleared on hotel parking. Not a nice experience. Certainly because we chose this hotel over Amsterdam itself, for safety's sake. Not so!

Love the friendly employees. The bar is open til one and I LOVE hanging out in their patio. Many different people hang out out there from all let and it's jjtmst such an amazing plkace to meet new people.

Doubt about 4 or 5 stars. Worth 5 stars, but just the little things that make it 4 stars.
A.o. fridge in the hotel room cools badly. Keeps to the lukewarm what comes out.
Some descriptions are unclear, absent such as how the refrigerator turns on or on or only in English such as coffee machine and safe (German / English.
In family room (but other rooms I think too), it lacks power socket security against small children and possibly their fingers that they can put in

Furthermore, very friendly staff. Good condition of the room. Nice reception, restaurant. Very suitable for conferences or lectures.

Not recommended. Music from 1 of the halls until half past one at night and doors pounding in the hallway.

Potato wedges and fries were already dry and lukewarm

Rice with peas and red cabbage moderate for a feast

Satay was lukewarm, there was also dry fried rice, some veal croquettes and mini spring rolls

Dessert buffet was again Top wide choice of ice, fresh fruit and desserts



Also for the kids cotton candy and hamburgers frikandellen

The table service was good we were well supplied with drinks and or soft drinks

For me it was a disappointment, I found a lot of Vd products ready to use, which you only need to heat and / or bake

For one van der Valk this could be a bit better in my opinion

If I had known we would have eaten ala carte in the restaurant, but that is always afterwards

Great room, good bed, good bathroom with walk-in rain shower. And everything very clean.

Sat in the lobby for an hour. No one waited our table so we left

Nice hotel. Super rooms, friendly staff and great food. And in a beautiful setting, you can easily reach various places in the area! Edam, Monickendam etc.

Friendly reception. Breakfast in the room very extensive and tasty. Unfortunately at check-in there were guests who were very negative and weird about the 1.5 measure. And that was not adhered to here, nothing was said.

Fine! We got here through bites and kicks. Was offered a pasta menu. But since we are not pasta lovers, we were offered snitsel with garnish! I think that is class! Pleasing a customer.

Very friendly staff. The hotel was well equipped and for us as a family with a small child everything was already in the room prepared. Quite so not only recommended as a conference hotel. The situation seems a bit "off the beaten path" at first, but is quite good after a few days stay. You can get to Amsterdam quickly (20 minutes) and easily by bus (there are tickets in the hotel), the surrounding towns are also inviting for a visit and in the night you have a nice quiet room. Overall, to be recommended.
