Van der Valk Hotel Volendam Review

I always like to come here. Informal atmosphere, friendly service and excellent quality.

Very satisfied with this hotel I found only the mattress on the soft side

We were not hotel guests, but had a delicious breakfast here with the grandchildren who stayed at our home.
Nice restaurant, good service.
Ample parking space.

The suites were excellent and great and the place was a must and I would recommend it to everyone

Nicely furnished hotel with its own restaurant, pleasant and helpful staff, and a good place to stay if you are visiting Voledam and its surrounding areas like Edam for 1-2 days.

Nice hotel from the inside. Rooms well maintained and nicely decorated. Breakfast is delicious and there are many great hot and cold drinks are included in the meal. Landscape around it is totally beautiful and the bus leaves directly in front of the hotel. After Amsterdam the way is not so far!

Had a meeting in one of the conference rooms. All very neat.
Breakfast buffet taken. Nice presentation. Good quality. Salmon, expensive meats, scrambled eggs, fried egg, regular eggs, sausages and delicious coffee !!!!

We have been with our organization, with 24 people we had a 32 hour meeting there. In the 9 years that I organize this, this is the best location. Super nice rooms, a nice meeting room and delicious food. Our compliments to the staff.

Good service, smooth and correct service and the food is good

Come here every Thursday morning for a meeting. We always enjoy the extensive breakfast that is offered there. The room where we hold our meetings is always provided with fresh coffee / tea and fresh orange juice. An IWB is available everywhere for presentations.

All good. Rooms are ok at breakfast there is nothing missing And eating in the restaurant was top class. Only the long way to the room through the eternal hallways .... but otherwise top. Price performance is absolutely met here. 30 minutes to the train station by bus. And 3 minutes to the sea. Great hotel great staff! Thank you

Brought a large school group here which definitely tested their organization and hospitality - both surpassed my standards. Nice clean hotel with friendly and professional service. The breakfast buffet is excellent.

good hotel with very friendly staff. unfortunately we sat under the stairs and sat up all night if someone came down. nor was the schnitzel as we are used to at van der valk. staff made up for a lot and the pool in the hotel are big pluses

If I feel like a good nutritious meal with always a good guarantee, I go to van der Valk. Last week ate at van der Valk in Volendam. Despite the crowds served quickly and the quality that I am used to at van der Valk. Extensive menu with something for everyone, even for my son who is a very difficult eater. Staff was as always very friendly and welcoming.

Only the restaurant, tidy, smooth service, a bit distant and routine, our server we could not understand unfortunately. Food was pretty good, no more no less.
Nicely served, looked very well cared for. Seats are super close with the back loans against each other, if someone is sitting at the table behind you it is pretty difficult to still be able to take a decent seat!
All in all quite nice ... if we are ever in the area again, it is definitely an option again.

Tasty food, however, the service left a lot to be desired. Many young and untrained staff.

Great breakfast, bus number 316 right on the doorstep to Amsterdam Centraal, perfect. If I fancy Amsterdam, then Van der Valk Volendam

Great eaten super service. Today eaten super. Delicious yellowfin tuna in advance and veal liver as a super super main menu.

Good kitchen. Large terrace. 10 minutes by bike to Volendam.

What a super customer-friendly treatment today. After we could not appear at breakfast on time, a delicious breakfast was served to us in the room! Again thanks a lot! TOP Service :)

Dear doorman also opens yearning if you have to go to the bathroom. Clean and tidy hotel.

The rooms look good and very clean. The food is also very good. During the meal a waiter knocked over my glass and said: "oh, there wasn't much in it anyway" and otherwise no sorry. I find this very rude.

Perfect location, slightly dated corridors, clean rooms, neat, bathrooms with large walk-in shower, swimming pool
The only downside in Belgium is their sauna to be paid for free here

Well what should I say. Upon entering it was busy and it was a long wait before we had a room. Once checked in it was a pleasure to be there. Beautiful room with everything on it. The food is super, we are spoiled for three days. Fantastic.

Nice hotel with all the necessary comfort, swimming pool and sauna, super friendly service. Breakfast. Bus stop very close to go to Amsterdam. Very easy.

Very well-kept hotel. Great breakfast. Huge selection. There was nothing that does not exist. The only drawback, the hotel is located on two busy streets. But for our purposes, e.g. Amsterdam was the OK.

Nice hotel. Great room. The bathroom was a good size and very clean. The beds were actually 2.20 long to my partner's delight The rooms had balconies. Great for smokers. The breakfast was plentiful. Great selection and also the food in the restaurant was very good.

Stayed here for the weekend from the 12th to 14th Jan 2018. Nice hotel with helpful staff. Restaurant does some amazing dishes, and the breakfast can't be faulted. Overall experience was amazing...Would I come back? Definetely a yes from me.......

I only had some coffee here during a business meeting, but the staff was friendly, and the outside seating was nice.

I am a van der valk fan. Many times a year I stay in one of these hotels. This is also the case in this hotel. Super hotel, clean, friendly staff, good food and breakfast .. But the lobsters in the bowl in the middle of the restaurant are no longer possible.
It is animal suffering and we should all look at that.
