Overall service was good. My only complaint is lack of vegetarian food options

the ideal hotel if you want to travel around the Netherlands by car. A bit further from Amster, but still within easy driving distance. Huge free parking. Ideal place for trips around the area. Room cool, a little smaller, but enough. Cool was a fridge in the room, a lounge chair. We did not try the restaurant in the hotel, we ate nearby. I recommend the Smit-Bokkum restaurant in Volendam. But we went to the bar for a beer and they have really great. Great service, beautiful surroundings. In the surroundings I recommend to visit Edam. It is a small town and certainly not a day trip. In Volendam there are markets at the weekend, you can eat perfectly at great prices. We sat, even though it was October, on the beach. Perfect. Then definitely the port town of Marken, you can get there perfectly by car. Parking for a spout and a very nice walk.

Hotel katwoude is our favorite hotel of all van der falcon chains .... and believe me we have had a lot really top and beautiful locations

Short stay but very satisfied. No hassle with parking (and free). Hotel radiates solidity. Room neat, spacious. Staff friendly, helpful. Special mention for breakfast! Complete in a pleasant way: tasty, enough, variety, quality, quiet, attentive staff, yet discreetly present. We will be back.

The rooms and hallways / furnishings are outdated. Furthermore, you get what you expect.

Staff are sweet and helpful. Kitchen closes at 22:00 but from 21.20 you have to sit in the cafe to eat because then they clean up the restaurant. Sandwiches with the salad were hard as bullets and the apple sauce was forgotten, in the 2 wine glasses there was a difference of finger thickness in the amount of wine and during the pin the waiter was extremely close up to 2x and just watched.
The meal itself was of good quality and good in relation to the price. And the staff were sweet and helpful.

Good food. Feel that the restaurant has had a good upgrade. Stylishly furnished and a complete menu.

Nice hotel just a shame that you almost can not use the pool because there always are given swimming lessons. We were there by an unfriendly man sent off in a sarcastic manner. Unfortunately!

The approach there was with the navigation device without any problems and we had plenty of parking there, the hotel view is nice and the location is good, you have connections with the bus to Amsterdam the tickets can be purchased directly at the hotel at the front desk , The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is Dutch English and partly German spoken, the facilities in the hotel is high-quality but unfortunately a bit dated, we had a double room, there were unfortunately two single beds pushed together in the night constantly slipped, you could somehow better but the visit is worth it.

We spent a few nights with you again last week. Rooms are perfect, the live and cooking was delicious, the breakfast excellent

Prima service en zijn erg vriendelijk en meedenkend. Van der Valk die niet aan de snelweg ligt. Lekker rustig. Super leuk is de nabij gelegen kaas/ klompen boerderij waar je zo 1,5 uur kunt vermaken. Leuke souvenirs en lekkere kaas. Diner en ontbijt prima. Kamers wel erg gehorig waardoor wij slecht hebben geslapen. Nadeel is dat de badschuim in flessen aan de muur zit waardoor als ze bijna leeg zijn vergeten worden om te vervangen.Leuke uitvalshoek om naar Volendam te gaan. 3 km rijden.

Great breakfast, clean rooms, we feel comfortable here and happy to come back for a weekend in Amsterdam.

Very bad experience during our holidays.
We found mouse s dropping (pooth) in the bed!!!

When I called the reception, I asked for an employee. Nobody came, since they where only 2 persons working at the reception. They asked me some photos, and were doubtful about my story .

Then I met the manager of cleaning team, who was very more understanding. But nothing was made for giving more consideration to my claim.

I explained all my problem in Dutch to Van der Valk s staff, maybe badly. But the accent was obviously not good enough.
The employee told me then that the universal language is English...

High level...

I don t speak a nice English as well. But I m sure that everybody will understand what I m writing here.

Maybe a manager or the CEO will read this testimony.
I remain at their disposal if necessary.

I let you know that I ll contact health services.
It s just unacceptable.

Good food. Live cooking buffet is very tasty and cozy. All you can eat and a wide selection. Recommended !!!!

This hotel restaurant is located at an easily accessible point in a green environment. It is a pleasant resting point for the traveler. The case received a freshening up a few years ago, making the overall appearance sparkling. Yet the Old Dutch character has not been lost. You can sit outside in nice weather. The kitchen is fine.

I had breakfast there with 3 family members and the food was really very good, only where we had to grab a drink, the whole tray was wet, which made your clothes wet, this qas was of course less pleasant for the rest again delicious eaten

Cozy restaurant with large terrace. Good food and drink. Nice staff. Unfortunately, tables on the terrace cannot be reserved. This with a view to the coming summer. But I'm definitely going back.

My friends and I had an excellent dinner here! Extremely friendly and attentive service! Cozy bar with good wine and more to have a drink and meet beforehand. A party to be here! Moreover, easily accessible and ample parking spaces!

Live cooking is a nice concept, but better designed at other Van Der Valk restaurants. Choice here was rather sparse.
