Van der Valk Hotel Emmeloord Review

Good hotel friendly neat and clean
Food is excellent. Well warm hotel / Somers. no Arco in the hotel room

Rooms are somewhat dated and there was a renovation going on during my stay (hopefully to update the rooms), I was woken up at 8:45 am by carpentry noises in adjoining rooms.

In comparison to other establishments, breakfast is rather sparse.

Great hotel, probably the best in town, even if it doesn't stay in the city. Delicious food, clean rooms. Problems with the shower, I flooded the bathroom. It's hot, there's no climate. The minibar in the room is empty. Plentiful Dutch breakfast. Prices higher than average. Has the SPA area. It has a PS3 station in the living room! USB cannot be connected to the TV. Located in a very quiet place.

Was there cozy and with a beautiful woman everything is fine anyway

Good location but in the rooms it gets very hot and at breakfast there is no ventilation

The hotel is already a bit dated, but it is very clean, the staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Dogs are welcome.

After having eaten very well here several times, we did not find it this time.
A lady who did not feel like giving us a nice evening. Continuously was chatting with acquaintances at the table next to us and did not keep an eye on whether we needed something or were having a good time.
Apparently the cook didn't have a good evening either. The vegetarian main course that I usually take was really not to eat. The dough was still raw and the cooking liquid dripped out. But one word for it: it was really bad.
Unfortunately we do not come back here soon. While it was a favorite location for good food.

Enjoyed a fall package, 3 nights for the price of 2.
Great hotel. Ample parking space. Good reception. A spacious, clean room on the ground floor with its own terrace and sofa and a fantastic view over the polders. A fridge, safe and coffee and tea facilities available. Good beds, spacious bathroom with corner shower and bath. Cleaning every day.
Includes breakfast buffet that was spacious and well cared for.
The hotel is a good base for day trips.
In short: recommended.

Beautiful room, but many small things that were not good.
toilet roll holder broken, reported but not repaired after 2 weeks.
In the room, the bedside lamp was paralyzed and hung at half past six, had already been glued once before, but really just had to be replaced.
Door to the bathroom was not locked and some other small things.

Room was large and clean, staff in restaurant and hotel were varied, some were very good, others were a lot less good. Large hotel with a lot of staff and less personal contact than usual.

Good food, but understaffed. We weren't allowed to sit in a cozy spot due to too little personnel.

It is called Van der valk exclusive but what a difference with Zwolle for example!
Old rooms, fridge was covered in dust, curtains were dirty and the fitness room is almost unusable, very old stuff. Friendly staff.

Old rooms in dire need of renovation, so that they do not meet the possibilities of today. Nevertheless, the hotel charges prices that correspond to a modern room. Shame!

Great address to relax along the A6. Nice coffee and friendly staff.

Outdated design, bedspread torn. Reception and service are up to standard as expected. Mattress protector available. Separate shower and bath but outdated design. Seems to come out of the eighties.

Neat although some of the rooms are old school, the staff are neat and friendly.

Well. Unfortunately, no comparison to the other van der valk hotels. Breakfast is easy. The dinner was very delicious, fresh and in the evening the staff was very friendly even in the thickest hustle and bustle. The rooms ... The shower is a disaster. There is only one fixed shower head (rain shower) for older guests not exactly comfortable. Should you possibly change time and attach a hose with shower head
Housekeeping cleaned the rooms very clean every day.

Rooms are very dark with little lighting.
Been to many of Van der Valk's hotels, but breakfast has never been so tidy. Really big setback and not recommended for anyone.

The dogs and I enjoyed our three day stay very much. Great food and good service.

Good hotel in a nice and remote location with a beautiful view of meadows / harbor. Easily accessible by the location next to the highway.

Room is a bit dated (economy room), but with an ideal king size bed. Nice view of the meadows. The room was fairly warm, but turning on a fan made it bearable. poor sleep at night due to a fight somewhere in one of the rooms nearby. So it's pretty noisy.

Bathroom reasonably spacious. Shower is old fashioned and the jets very hard and uncomfortable. The bath on the other hand is fine. Maintenance could be better: the toilet seat was loose, just like the grab bar near the bath.

All in all a good hotel to stay, apart from a few smaller points.

its a very nice hotel, delivers what a hotel should but fails on extra facilities. It needs some entertainment for kids and adults, a pool table or a fussball table at the upper bar won't go amiss.

Spent a night in this hotel via a last minute. Great experience. Nice neat room, with good beds and a comfortable seating. Good facilities such as restaurant and bar. Great breakfast. Neat and fast treatment at check-in and check-out.

Had lunch here en route. Food and service was very good. A special mention for the fantastic children's toilet (ladies' toilet was also very nice)

6 pieces of Sushi, which we thought came from the freezer was really not tasty. And that for 9.50, much too expensive!
Club sandwich was well stocked and tasty.
12 o'clock was good, only the fried egg was on. For a Van der Valk hotel, lunch was disappointing! Unfortunately!

In many eateries you get a better cared for 12 hours. Bouncer lukewarm, sandwich not fresh, ordinary mustard not present in the building. However, expensive tubes of mustard mayonnaise, one per person.

Nice and comfortable bed, good breakfast, nice dinner, clean rooms and comfort. We were satisfied and will visit again.

Always good nice staff just a pity that there was a mosquito infestation!

Stayed 1 night ...
Unfortunately I found a room that was in dire need of renovation, especially the bathroom and the seat in the room. Everything old and dirty.
The bed was surprisingly fine, slept wonderfully (already replaced?).
Not used to Van der Valk ..

Enjoy late summer with Ma, tea time, just outside. Friendly staff!
