I agree with a lot of the comments that it's not welcoming and doesn't have that classical feel of many basketball arenas, but I think it's still a great place. I've seen a concert and an OSU hockey game, and the atmosphere was great for both!

Easy to navigate to. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Exits and entrances are nicely placed to avoid bottlenecks. Even when leaving a packed concert, we got out of the building fairly quickly.
We saw Disney on Ice Frozen. It was great. My daughter loved it. Best show I've seen on ice. A lot of kids dressed up for it which was nice to see. As usual prices were expensive for the snow cones, light ups, etc. I knew this going in and knew I'd buy a couple things so it wasn't that bad. Parking was free and not a ton of a hassle to get out, traffic flowed pretty well. Overall a great time.
Really nice facility! Haven't been since St John's arena! It was really nice! I was there with my son! It was his birthday. He got tickets through his school! Inspirational speaker! OSU basketball and wrestling alumni! Really great day for the kids! Oh! IO!! !
A wonderful evening listening to my all time favorite James Taylor, brought back memories, good memories. Soothed my soul and comforted me. His music is still playing in my head and will continue for a long time. And the best part was sharing this with my best friend, my sister Erin. Thank you Sissy, I love you.
PRINT YOUR TICKETS BEFORE GOING TO THIS VENUE. Called hours before an event and they said printed tickets or on your phone was ok to scan. Once at the event, their story changed... refused to scan tickets on my phone. $20 "printing fee" at will call to print your tickets out. Beware.
I took my son one year too I believe it was WWE Money In The Bank, which was awesome experience. And then my first concert when I was a teenager at the time, and we seen a The Backstreet Boys!!!! Best time of my life and they put on a great concert!!!!!
Went here for Joe Rogan. In the small print of our $400 tickets it said they must be printed. That would make sense if they took the physical tickets...but they didn't. They scanned the exact same bar code that was on my phone once they were printed out.
On top of that, we were told to go-to the ticket counter and they would print them out for us. When we arrived we discovered they would gladly print them out... For an additional $20.
OSU makes billions of dollars off scams like this. I guess I shouldn't be surprised and neither should you. Next time there's a riot download please go straight to the Schot.
One of the many homes of the Ohio State Buckeyes this venue is quit large with quite a few options for parking. Food and merchandise can be purchased but for an higher price than outside vendors. Lots of seating lots of price ranges. Can be crowded at times.
Parking is a nightmare, its ridiculously crowded and concessions are limited to ballpark selections (and prices). You're probably here for a specific event so it's not like you have other options, but its still disappointing.
All that being said they do a pretty good job wrangling the insane crowds into and around the place, which can be impressive.
Attended the Ohio State vs TTUN hockey game and this place is great place for a game. Our seats were in the 200 level and still felt you were close to the action. Good acoustics, and friendly staff not only at the gate but throughout the arena (including the concession stands) Granted the 2/3 of the 300 level was curtained off so it wasn t a full house; parking was easy to find. Plus, their staff does an excellent job of directing traffic flow. It only took me 5 minutes from the time I backed out of my parking spot to being back on Hwy 315 heading home. Highly recommend
We saw frozen on ice and the seats were amazing! The parking lot crew was very efficient! The staff was very helpful and the Schott was super clean too!
It s been a number of years since I ve been to a first rate major concert. Having the opportunity to see Hugh Jackman in the amazing Schottenstein center was truly a gift. I would encourage anyone, in any shape, to enjoy this amazing facility and wonderful experience that you will have!
Frozen on ice was really good. The parking was awful. They told my daughter who was driving that there was no more handicapped parking. She wasn't handicapped but I was and I was sitting in the back seat. It seemed like the man directing traffic thought there were only healthy people in the car. I had a very difficult time getting to the entrance and then returning to the car.
Do not gets seats on the sides. Went to the New Kids on the Block concert on June 22; the sound was distorted and hard to understand the words anyone was singing. Also, no screens for people sitting on the sides. They had 1 big screen for people sitting head on towards the stage. Good show but hard to hear.
Went to several concerts and basketball games over the last few years, cannot complain at all about the staff working the events or the quality of artists that the venue attracts. Only downside is stadium beer is wayyy to expensive to be good.
Went to a great show got to see Weezer and The Pixies there. They do charge the max on beer and food which is ridiculous, it's 4 to 5 times the original amount an item costs normally. IDK how they can get away with such a high mark up. Should be against the law to price gouge like that
My 24th event here. Very nice place for entertainment, well organized. Easy to enter and exit, security is appropriate, seats are a bit uncomfortable if you are over 6 4 . Restrooms are clean, food is typical for arenas. Overall great place near OSU!
Greta venue for a John Mayer concert. Not a bad seat in the house. I believe it holds about 18000 people. The stadium seats are steep enough that you get a great view from almost anywhere. A/C was nice and cool too.
