Dr Shannahoff Is a very caring and patient professional . I was trying to choose a spinal decompression doctor that could help me. When I came in for a consultation I was convinced that he could help me with the pain I had from a herniated disk. It took only a few visits to feel that the pain fading away.I came in on crutches and by the second week I was getting better. By the 15th visit the pain was gone 90% gone and by 10 weeks there is no pain. I am so grateful to have found Dr Shannahoff and this therapy.I can recommend him to anyone who is suffering from disc problems and as an alternative to surgery. This process will let the body heal itself. I was diagnosed Sciatica with herniated disc and spinal stenosis.
I tried various treatments including but not limited to 2-level surgery, 4 epidurals, acupuncture but these has not provided even temporary relief. I was taking tons of medication.

The sessions that I had with Dr. Shannahoff were the best doctor's visit experience that I had ever had. I had two herniated discs in my lower back, lumbar disc, one was 11 mm and the other was 4 mm. I had severe lower back and leg pain. I was not able to move much, and lost the ability to do normal daily actives. I could not even walk without suffering from severe pain in my back and leg. After visiting three MDs, I finally got an MRI, and the MD told me to have a surgery, steroid injection or some physical therapies. I was devastated knowing that I might need to have a surgery and never be able to go back to normal life ( I did some research online, surgery on spine can really have negative lifelong affect to quality of life). Then I found two chiropractors, but the experience was not good and I did not see any improvement. Finally I gave Dr. Shannahoff a call, surprisingly he answered my phone call during lunch time and give me an appointment the same day. He put me on the DRX9000 decompression machine, after the first two weeks I already saw improvement, and he gave me three month sections every day from Mandy to Thursday. He was always there to treat my back till 7pm even though his office closes at 6pm. Dr. Shannahoff was always there for his patients, and he's always available to listen to his patients. He even gave free back adjustments to my wife. Now I m back to normal, I m able to go outside, go hiking and go back to the activities that I enjoyed doing. I have suffered from lower back pain for the past 11 years. I just had reinjured myself and ended up with two herniated disc on the lumbar part of my spine. I couldn't even get in my car to drive to work and I knew this was a serious injury. I knew I needed to do something about it but getting spinal surgery at the age of 30 just wasn't something I wanted to go through. I decided to do some research in effort to find an alternative to surgery. I've gone through chiropractic treatment before with little success. However, I read about spinal decompression therapy and also happened to meet someone who tried this treatment. They said it was the best decision they ever made for their lower back pain so I decided to give it a try. That's when I found Dr. Bruce and Valley Spinal Decompression Center. I got in touch with Dr Bruce and he took the time to listen to my story about how my initial injury happened and my new injury. I decided to give it a try after I had an MRI done and saw exactly what I had going on. This office was unlike any other doctors or chiropractic office I've been to in the past. I was surprised to see that Dr Bruce handles all the care himself unlike other places I've been to where I always end up dealing with an assistant. I must admit, I was really losing hope after a few weeks due to seeing very little progress. I expressed this to Dr Bruce but he was really patient with me and helped me keep my faith. Then I realized I was 6 weeks in and my lower back pain had decreased significantly... That's when I realized how amazing this treatment was and was glad I didn't give up. Now, I'm almost at 100% and couldn't be more thankful to Dr. Bruce for curing my back. I highly recommend this to anyone that's suffering from back pain. It definitely beats back surgery.

I had sharp mid back pain with radicular pain to my right shoulder blade, right armpit and right upper triceps. It kept me awake at night and hurt constantly. Dr. Shannahoff ordered a cervical MRI and thoracic X-rays. I had some cervical disc herniations. Dr Shannahoff used decompression traction and my symptoms resolved in about 3 1/2 weeks. We continued care for a total of 5 weeks to make sure that the underlying cause was completely taken care of.
