Clint was great! Extremely knowledgable, very personable and patient with a beginner! Wouldn't hesitate in recommending Valley Fishing Guides.

Clint guided my father and I for two consecutive days. The first day was my personal best for fly fishing...but that was short lived as the second day was a trip of a lifetime. We have fished guided trips throughout the world and Clint undoubtedly is up there with the best of the best. I really can t say enough about his knowledge and more importantly, his ability to put you on the fish.

Great morning out, having never fly fished before Clint had me straight into it with 15mins.
Clint fishes ethically and has great knowledge and care for the environment that is fished. Highly recommend.

A fabulous fishing experience

My 14 year old son and I did a full day guided fishing experience with Clint from Valley Fishing guides. We live in Whistler so we have gone out with other guiding companies before. This was without a doubt the best one day guided trip I have ever been on and I have been on many. It s rewarding to catch a lot of big fish ... and we did (Bull Trout, Rainbow, Cutthroat). Equally rewarding was Clint s patient instruction on fish, the water, technique etc. My son who is a beginner fly fisher received just the right amount of attention and instruction ... and of course catching lots of fish. Cliff is a wealth of fishing knowledge and a super fun guy to spend the day with. If you are looking to spend a day or two fishing in the Squamish/Whistler/Pemberton corridor then Valley Fishing Guides should be your first choice.

Spent a full day with Clint and we fished in several amazing runs in some of the most beautiful country I have even witnessed. Clint's knowledge and skill made my B.C. fly fishing experience everything I was hoping for. Can't wait to get back up there and catch steelhead some day. Thanks again Clint!

Fantastic day fly-fishing with Clint. One of us a novice, the other experienced, and both of us came away having learned a huge amount. The location, equipment, tuition and company were all first-rate - not to mention the salmon! Highly recommended.

I truly enjoyed my trip with Valley Fishing Guides. Ryan was my guide, he was perfectly prescriptive and a wonderful, knowledgeable guide. Clint took me out for a day on the Squamish RIver and it was outstanding. I am from New Zealand and have had some good days in beautiful spots but this was the best day on a river I have had, bar none. Two reasons, Clint got us onto a lot of great fish (4 coho, a nice rainbow and I lost count of the big bull trout). The scenery was spectacular although what made Clint a great guide was his patient instruction. He has been on the Canadian fly fishing team and it showed, his guidance on Czech nymphing has changed the way I will fish from now on.

The BEST guided experience we have ever had! Squamish is so beautiful, Clint and his team are so knowledgeable, professional, safe and FUN!

Great day of fishing. Clint is very knowledgeable and a great teacher. Had us on fish even with less than ideal water conditions. Came away not only with a good day of fishing but also techniques to take back home to our local waters. We have used a lot of guides and Clint ranks right at the top of the list.

Awesome day with Clint today. I've been with a few of the guides in the area and Clint is the gold standard. He is very knowledgeable, patient and a great teacher. Clint knows the local area, the fish and the right flies. I won't tell you where we went....but Clint knows the best places to get the fish. Looking forward to another day on the river with Clint.

Had a great experience fishing for Pink Salmon and trout. Excellent teaching from Clint and great stories. Top notch equipment provided. Would do it again anytime!

Their is not much I can say but Wow, what a great experience. We did a full day in August during the Pink run and it was amazing. It starts with the quality of guides, we had two for the three of us, with two being novices. Then came the equipment, all top notch. And finally, they took us all form not knowing what to do to all landing fish in the first 30 minutes. I doubt you will find a better guiding experience if you want to perfect your craft of catch your first fish. Well done!

Despite a heat wave and challenging conditions, Clint adapted to provide my friend and I with an excellent day on the rivers, catching many fish (even my friend, despite this being his first time holding a fly rod!), including large bull and rainbow trout.

On a perfect morning September 13, 2014 Glint G. Goyette gave me a private lesson on a stream near Whistler, B.C. The equipment was first class, the rainbow trout were plentiful, and Clint gave instructions not only in fishing, but also in the effect of the environment on the fish, including the insects they eat.

Clint at Valley Fishing Guides was extremely knowledgeable, taking the time to explain how he reads the water, the insect population, the time of day/weather, etc. I couldn't have gotten a more knowledgeable and well-rounded guide. I landed 8 fish my first day of fly fishing, which can all be credited to Clint and his teaching technique, plus knowledge of the rivers in Squamish. Also Valley Fishing Guides have the best gear from the rod to the leads, to the flies/nemphs and waders/boots. I was dry, happy and catching fish the whole time.

I have had the opportunity to join Clint from Valley Fishing Guides in the Squamish area on three separate occasions, both on my own and with a small group of varying abilities, targeting different species and exploring different waterways each time.

Clint has consistently provided great instruction - catering specifically to the skill level of the anglers in the group; provided a full outfit of the highest quality gear; offered a wealth of local knowledge about the fish, waterways, and other local animal species; and conducted himself in a friendly and professional manner that has made him my families first choice when returning to the Squamish area.

I had a great session with Ryan Treneer on Sunday Sept. 8th. Valley Fishing Guides provided Sage fly rod and reel outfit that was nicely balanced. Ryan guided me to an easy wading spot on the Squamish River where I caught 4 Pink Salmon on a fly that he tied. He showed my where to cast and how to handle my line to hook up. The fish were fresh and I really enjoyed myself. Non-retention section of the river was very enjoyable without crowding even on the Sunday. First time catching salmon on the fly after several unsuccessful trips to Scotland. We saw a seal in close proximity, but he didn't affect my fishing. Easy access site near my motel in Squamish made the trip very convenient and relaxing.

Great day fishing for coho, bulls and rainbows. We lost track of how many fish we caught! Learned some new techniques and saw some beautiful stretches of water. Can t wait to go back. This will be an annual trip for my friends and I.

Amazing guide service, incredible fishing and beautiful area to fish! I had some time become available last minute and Clint was very helpful in helping me arrange my first fishing visit to BC. He worked very hard to put me on some great fish despite some weather challenges. This included coaching me through landing my personal best fish on the fly which was a battle I will never forget. I look forward to going back in the near future. Great outfit and I'd recommend a trip to any level of angler.

My Wife and I wanted to go out for a 1/2 day, have some fun and learn about some local spots, local fish and some new technique.

Clint was perfect for it all. He was very safety conscious, extremely knowledgeable and most importantly, fun to be with on the water.

We are pretty much beginners and he was happy to take it at our pace answer any and all questions and provide the perfect amount of feedback.

Hands down, the best day of fishing I've ever had. Period.

Valley Fishing Guides are definitely the premiere guide service in Squamish / Whistler and I couldn't recommend them any more. My guide Brandon was awesome - super knowledgeable, funny and easy to get along with and he put me on 25+ fish for the day one of which was the Coho Salmon of a lifetime ! That baby did the Coho roll and fought the best fight and lived to see another day - what more can you ask for !

They also have all the best gear at your disposal - Sage Rods, Simms Waders and a super yummy lunch to fuel the days adventures.

Do yourself a favour, don't hesitate. Get out with these guys, you'll learn lots, catch lots and have fun doing it !

My son and I fly fished with Clint Goyette last year and again last week. We had a great time. I caught the biggest rainbow trout I'd ever set eyes on and my son caught two huge bull trout and a smaller trout. It was wonderful! Clint knew exactly where to fish and instructed us carefully on how to haul them in.
