They lost my package and are claiming it has been delivered.
I contacted them prior to delivery was told a signature would be required I took 3 days off work to be there to receive the delivery. They now claim to have delivered my $3500 package but it is not at my house, they claim they left it on my porch but it's not there. I contacted them immediately after the status changed to delivered and they told me they can't do anything because the driver isn't in the area.
There wouldn't be an issue if the driver did his job correctly and delivered it to the correct house and got a signature like required, I wouldn't be surprised if the driver has himself a nice new bed, and just said they left it there. Valley Cartage won't provide me with a picture of the delivery or even a gps history to see where they actually dropped it.
One of those companies that I wish I could give zero stars. If you are a vendor looking to use a trucking company to deliver to your customers, please do your customers a favor and go somewhere else. Probably the most unprofessional trucking/delivery company I've ever dealt with. I ordered a desk from World Market and the company had tow different people call to schedule delivery, one called on a Wednesday, the other called the next day and was clearly unaware someone else had already called to set-up delivery. Scheduled (on both calls) delivery for a four hour window on Friday. Well Friday came and no one called, or showed up. I called after the four-hour window to figure out what was going on and I get sent to voicemail. I leave a voicemail asking for a call back. No one ever calls me back. I call late the following Monday and they offer no apology or explaination other than "the driver didn't have enough time to deliver all the orders." OK, so we reschedule for another four hour window on Tuesday. Thirty minutes from the end of the window Valley Cartage calls me back and says "our truck broke down so we're not going to be able to deliver your order today." At this point, I'm really not buying that excuse and I'm outright irritated. They want to reshcedule another four hour window later in the week and I tell them no, and that I want it delivered the next day. After some resistance and back and forth after they gave me a bunch of BS reasons they can't deliver at a specific time. The next day I get a call after the window we defined for a late delivery AGAIN. Totally unprofessional and I can't belive how any company would want to provide such a horrible experience to their end consumer.
Unprofessional! Worst Company! There's a very rude, disrespectful and incompetent individual by the name of Dan at this center. I was on the phone with someone named Alex discussing how my delivery was rescheduled twice! I took 2 days off from work to stay home for this delivery and it was canceled both times. Now I have to take a 3rd day off from work. I told Alex that I need this table as I'm expecting company the next day, and I heard a voice (Dan) in the background saying "Come pick it up!" in a very demeaning and disrespectful tone. Do these customer-facing individuals get any customer service training? Or a training on simple manners and how to speak to other humans? And who's going to compensate me for missing 3 days of work? I truly wonder if the table is even going to show up tomorrow.
I had such an awesome experience with a special request on Friday, August 6, 2021! The crew helped load a difficult package into my car and secured my back hatch door, which we had to leave open. I appreciate the excellent customer service!!! Thanks so much, great company!!!
Respectful and helpful driver. Residential address, they sent no pallet jack. Easy order to hand unload, fortunately. Prompt and friendly yet no nonsense dispatch. For my shipment, the drive to pickup myself and associated costs would be about the same price, so pretty good deal.
These guys are pretty good! I do wish they were a little more quick about getting the product in their system when it arrives at the warehouse, but with Covid and everything I think we all just have to be a little more patient with trucking companies. They brought it today and dropped it off with no issues!
This isn t the first time VC has delivered pallets like this. I m confident ITP didn t put them on the truck like this.
Very unprofessional, worse customer service ever. Nothing I have had ship ships on time. I mean I understand no guarantees on deliveries. But a week later than expected is ridiculous.
