This no kill shelter is the best. I have gotten two cats from here, one who had lived at the shelter for many years. They genuinely care about the animals, have a low cost clinic on site (I got a male kitten neutered for a reasonable $40) and you can go in just to pet cats no strings attached if you're feeling sad.
This is such a great place! The dog park is awesome on site. Their clinic us top notch and just expanded so they can served more! Adopt your next pet from Valley Animal Center and take your family pets in for top care!
These guys are always professional with my animals my dog is always excited to come here and visit they're always causes and treat your animal that's if they were people that true member of your family
How can someone adopt if you guys don t even answer your phones to answer any questions? What a joke this place is!
You can tell how much the staff there really cares about the animals in their care. I had my roommates cat Snowball spayed there, and they warned me before they brought her out that she was the last Kitty done so she was still acting very bizarre but she would not be acting that way much longer. The girl who brought Snowball to the car could see how upset I was from the way Snowball was acting and took a few extra minutes to talk to me so I understood what was going on. They also called me because they had the vet look at her nose to confirm it was dry skin and then asked about her deformed paw.
Clean facility. Excellent care for the animals. Adoption was easy!
EDIT: My dog enjoyed the dog park. He did get bored fast but I think I'll take him during a high peak time for more dog interaction.

Short story: The clinic and dog park staff are not in sync. They both relayed different information that has delayed my dog's access to the dog park for over 3 weeks.
Long story:
I recently moved to Clovis and found this dog park. I scheduled an appointment to update my dogs vaccinations via email, and before the appointment had spoken with a worker about the dog park over the phone.
I was told my dog could walk into the dog park immediately after he received his vaccinations (I questioned that while chatting on the phone since usually vaccines take a while to work, but the worker said yes.)
We showed up to the appointment and were told that he had to wait for all of his vaccinations, which would take 2 more weeks to receive before my dog would be able to go in.
Today was the appointment for his second dose of vaccines and I was told to wait an additional 2-3 weeks for a second dose of a vaccine that he could have received during the first appointment (I swear I asked if he could get it the first time and was told no. Also, I was not told it needed a second dose but I honestly didn't ask that question at the time which is my fault). Now he has to wait 2-3 weeks for the next appointment and who knows how much time after that if something else pops up.
I have never been inside of the dog park but I hope it's worth it for my dog. The miscommunication was disappointing and unprofessional. Either go to another more organized clinic for vaccines or make sure they schedule them accordingly.
I adopted my kitty yesterday and I love her! Adoption process was fast and easy just submit the application online and if approved they will give you a call to make your appointment. They have so many kitties from all ages you are sure to find your fur baby there. The place is super nice and clean really big! Staff was very helpful and informative and they even have a low cost clinic if you ever need to take your pet in. Plus you get one complementary visit with an adoption! Highly recommend Valley Animal Center!
Adopted two sisters that are a dachshund mix breed, and the staff was truly wonderful with the whole adoption procedure. They are friendly and seem as Happy to get fur babies A home as you are to give them A home. It's not always easy to take A chance of the HEART, but it helps when somebodys their to HELP IT ALONG, and this shelters staff does their best to accommodate that need. Send you home with A nice care package for your newest family also. Care and LOVE GO ALONG WAYS FOR EVERYBODY INVOLVED. YOU SAVE A LIFE IN RETURN THEY SAVE YOURS. Went to have my fathers dog get Rabies shot and nails trimmed she's over 16 yrs old. Handed over to staff and brought back to me within 10 minutes. I was so pleased with their service will be back definitely for next Nail trim in few months
