Monday night Lobster Pie special was just fantastic. Music from bar area was excellent and not loud at all. So glad we found Val's!

Great family place. Owners are very nice and all the staff is friendly.

This is a perfect family spot if you have a family like ours. Kids enjoyed the food choices and the tvs while husband and I enjoyed that we could actually talk, eat tasty food, have a drink, and the bill wasn't enormous for all this. I also like that they have interesting specials on the menu.

Before I get into detail about Val s Tavern I want to give a big shoutout to our waitress Laurie. She was sweet,kind and had a heart made of gold. Also she got my humor which I don t see often because kids don t get my jokes. Like listen to this joke it s about butter Laurie is butter than the rest. Raise your hand if you like that joke I bet Laurie did. Anyways now I want to say a couple things 1. The food was great and I mark my words 2. I have YouTube channel called disco pug and also please sponsor me! But anyway I normally only like Irish pubs but this one was really good and are waitress was great and like no other. My parents loved there Stella and their butter. It was more quite than most pubs and I recommend adding music on busy nights. Sorry about almost leaving with your napkin ha! I love Val s

Garlic Parmesan wings, delicious! Meatball an ricotta pizza to die for! Wait staff attentive, friendly and professional make you feel at home. My only drawback when I'm out to eat I don't need to hear political talk from people associated with the establishment. Be professional keep that at home. Otherwise the set up, the food, the cleanliness and the location are all top notch. I haven't had a better pizza south of Matawan until I ate here!!!

I will be back! It was worth the wait.

This is the Greatest place in NJ for Restaurant, Bar and Pizza. You can not beat the food here and the service is Excellent. Try this place out you will enjoy it.......

They had a great band last night and it is always fun there

My wife and I enjoyed our corn beef cabbage and potatoes from Val s it was delicious we look forward to enjoying dinner in house when the times get better.
In the meantime we will take out from Val s

Food is fabulous.
If you go on the early side the place is packed with small children..so I suggest going later
