Great trails, a little complicated to navigate between the peaks
Skiing at Breck is why we live in Colorado. The lifts are fast, the terrain is varied from extreme to to beginner. The peaks and bowls at the top are some of the highest ski areas in Colorado. Plenty of great restaurants and rest areas to take a break and recharge. And everyone working at Breck greats you with a smile. Have fun!
street parking is cheaper than the designated parking
If you're traveling for business and you have to sleep a night at a hotel, just skip over the whole town of Breckenridge. Breckenridge is strictly a resort town and not practical for just trying to get some sleep. We booked this hotel through Expedia. We must've missed the part where it said they charge $38 for parking. It was a frustrating stay. I was very turned off about parking. My room was on the 8th floor. But the elevator only went up to the 7th floor then I had to change elevators to get to the 8th. Which was a maze though the 7th floor to get to the second elevator. I tried to take the stairs for the last floor but I ended up infront of a locked door which said access to the roof only. I didnt dare even have a cup of coffee at that hotel. I drank tap water also. I figured if they are charging $38 for parking on top of the hotel room fee then they will probbaly charge for the air you breath. Incidentally, they do have an Oxygen bar in the lobby if you choose to pay for air. Room was clean. Tap water was cold and tasty. The inside of the room was cozy but the hallways where you get to the rooms looked like the inside of a state institution.
The scenery in the morning was spectacular though.
Many beautiful runs. Plenty of space to stay away from crowds.
Great range of runs, so many lifts and great service. Only negative is the number of people makes for crowded runs and can be long lift lines
This is a 5 star condo. True ski in ski out resort. Bare in mind if you book building 1 2 or 3 you have to walk thru maze to get to the ski locker. But building 4 is easy access. You can put your skis and Boots and get to the room for all buildings. Many hot tubs and heated pool. Like it!
My favorite resort in Colorado. This is where I spend most of my time each season. Beautiful mountain.
One of the best areas for kids. Can get crowded. Definitely avoid if the side peaks are closed due to wind.
Huge mountain with lots of peaks and terrain to satisfy any skier. Great lodges and good staff. One of my favorite mountains to cruise in Colorado
Went to Breckenridge for the first time to do some mountain biking and I probably wont be back. Took about two hours to get parked get a ticket and get on the gondola to get up to the trail. There is no parking by the mountain which is incredibly inconvenient. The trails are poorly maintained and their system of trails leaves a lot to be desired. Way over priced for the quality.
Beautiful place. So close to town you can walk to everything. They have an oxygen bar downstairs and plenty of late night snacks to purchase in the lobby. Very spacious rooms with friendly staff. Absolutely no complaints.
1st time visitors and we will definitely be back next year!
Maintenance is sliding.
I am an owner at this timeshare and have been coming since shortly after it opened.
During all that time the staff has been very good and they support the guests to the greatest extent possible. The lodge is a snowball's throw from the lift and has great access to peaks 6 and 7 and easy access to the rest of the mountain.
This trip has been a series of disappointments.
Our room is pet friendly, although we do not have a pet, and has not been adequately cleaned. It smells like a locker room.
The patio door's lock stuck and has been partially repaired.
The room sits at about 74 degrees and will not get cooler unless you open the windows.
The refrigerator's meat tray is broken and we were promised a replacement 10 days ago.
Equipment in the gym is broken and generally stays broken because maintenance needs to order parts from the manufacturer.
Electronic equipment like the treadmills are "fixed" by unplugging and restarting. Since I've reported the same problem on the same machine multiple times this is not working.
The gasket on the outside gym door shows daylight and when temperatures are cold or it is windy the room is chilly and drafty by the door.
I would check other current reviews before booking at Grand Lodge at Peak 7.
There is plenty to do whether it is winter time or summer time. Great family activities and restaurants to meet all dietary needs. The people that provide assistance to help you navigate the area are very helpful and pleasant.
Great snow this year. Nice village. Don't miss the crepes
Loving this place. There is so much to do... we'll be back soon!
Arguably the nicest Ski Resort in Colorado. Tons of runs and amazing snow. A bit pricey, but that is what should be expected for skiing in Colorado. A+.
Adventure Park is a rip off! Paid for 3 full day passes ($190) and due to rain never even got to go on the alpine slide, which was the ONLY reason we paid the ridiculous amount of money for passes in the first place. They refunded less than half which won't even pay to ride it another day. Make sure weather forecast is perfect before you throw your money away.
Nice place to ski at very friendly, good restaurants nearby and up in the mountains.
Great mountain with ski/boarding slopes for all she and all levels of expertise.
I love it because it is the perfect combo between terrain and powder
Good snow today. Usually a little busy on the weekends in winter.
Great ski resort wonderfully set up to make access to the slopes easy
Very family friendly resort. If you've never been - it's got something for all. Short and pleasant, parks or long/extreme runs. Colorado!!!!!!
Lots of diverse terrain and tons of snow, unfortunately the lift lines even midweek are unbearable!
Great beginner ski resort for the whole family. Peak 9 is a great place to get started. After that step up and try the high mountain on chair 6 or the imperial lift.
Breckenridge is an amazing place. There is no doubt about it. You couldn't ride every run if you had a full week of riding. My only complaint is the cost. It's $169 for an adult day pass. I understand the need to balance the crowd with the higher price but I just wish the alternative passes could be cheaper. Or we could come up with an innovative way to do lift tickets. I usually won't go without a buddy pass. If you can get there on your epic pass from another resort it is well worth it!!
Busy during weekends, but one of my favorite places to visit.
We went during the off season, there was still plenty to do. From the Alpine rollercoaster, zip line and great food in the lovely downtown area, we had a blast. Perfect place to take the little ones for a day adventure
Breckenridge is breathtaking and I am so glad I have had the oppertunity to experience so beautiful and so amazing
Visited this place during summer and their activities were limited to 3 attractions. Their organization of the resort is well planned and staff vey knowledgeable and friendly. No day passes or discounted tickets this year so every attraction had its own price. Really amazing views and free gondola ride from the parking areas which are well signaled. Check the weather before going the attractions will be closed if it rains.
Probably the best beginner and intermediate skiing runs in the United States. Great town, friendly casual atmosphere. I come here every year and I love it!
Beautiful mountain, extensive terrain for all ages.
Vail and Breckenridge, the best stations in the world, without a doubt.
Save 20 bucks per day and ski Keystone. Better trails, no flat areas, not a big fan of Breck. Better than winter park, but go to Keystone, Vail or Steamboat.
Excellent skiing...great staff if people. I'm not used to the parking being from the north east and charging for storage of bags was a bummer but I get it. Great place to ski and more!
Big and full of bad skiers and tracked out terrain. Good park set up.
Love the mountain but Vail resorts kind of blows for a multitude of reasons
Great views, TOO MUCH traffic. Felt like Lodo size crowds the whole time. Locals were really nice. Expensive.
Breckenridge is one of my favorite Vail resorts. They are sensitive to the fact that most visitors are not accustom to the high altitude, so they have free water/snack stations at the main bases. The views are gorgeous and the groomed runs are very well cared for. Can't wait to go back.
Memories. Everything has changed but it still rocks.
1st time here. Loved everything (except paid parking) The entire Breck staff were Super Helpful. . I bought a discounted lift ticket as my daughter is a Epic pass owner. I really appreciated the hosts in Yellow coats Skiing through the trees to make sure everything is ok . The Red "I" Coats had all answers. Be sure to remember which lift you started from, easy to be in the wrong location at The Base. Love skiing Colorado . While leaving a Yeti was spotted c
Perfect place to bring the kids or have an adults only weekend. The city itself is a fantastic mountain town with lots of shops, food and views. The staff was very helpful with all inquiries.
Super clean home, fun activities for all ages of family. Gorgeous landscapes... July in COnis fabulous weather.
Like most big resorts Breckenridge (owned by Vail resorts) is greedy and has over expanded to the point that 100% of the runs are overcrowded. Did we really need Condos at the base of Peak 7? Did we really need the Gondola let people off at Peak 7? It was nice before these things, Peak 7 was like a getaway as most people did not know how to zig-zag to get back there. I remember not that long ago just skiing right onto the lift. Now your lucky to get on after 30 minutes and that is during the week. It is a shame as it is otherwise a nice place. It is also typical big resort expensive to eat...best to eat in town at the end of the day and just pack a lunch. Parking is nuts, and although they offer FREE spots in the middle of nowhere, it cost to get anything half way close to the Gondola. I'm there to ski not to hike across town in ski boots. Being a big place you get a lot of city folk that have no ski etiquette...not unusual to have people not knowing what to do in the lift lines, or not knowing how to stay to one area while going down a run...I been cut off more then I can remember by idiots at Breckenridge. Its funny I don't see these problems at smaller slopes like Monarch...oh well that makes me conclude it the weekend ski warriors that come out with no common sense.
Nice place to stay for a conference or for skiing. Front desk Staff is receptive and rooms are neat. All buildings are connected. My Room in building 4 was a nice studio facing ski alley. Ample space for a single family with fully equipped kitchen.
The only issue was that the heating in the room could not be controlled, with the thermostat. At times, in the middle of night, it got super hot.
Great snow management and awesome folks helping out.
Wonderful resort. Plenty of terrain for all skill levels. If you get the season pass and ski enohgh, it's an incredible deal
We love the beauty of this resort. We always ski here - the ski school for both kids and adults, are just so great!
It's a great place for really all levels except the intermediate terrains park is small and takes a while to get too.
Cool town, felt very frontier which was wonderful to experience. Everyone super friendly too, bonus. Gondola's are brilliant, amazing view.
Great mountain to snowboard at. Very diverse trails. Plenty of options.
Excellent town and resort. The only drawback is it gets very crowded.
Along. Colorado Super Chair, take chair 6, ride up North Americas highest chairlift @ 12,890 ft and wonder at the epicness of what truly is unreal riding.
