Was visiting family. The parking was pretty terrible.
We hosted a family reunion in Breckenridge. Everything we saw in the resort was top notch. There is a wide variety of lodging available. We rented a 7 bedroom house, but there are also condos and smaller homes to choose from. I Would highly recommend the location for summer, family events.
Lovely place to visit anytime. Tons of quaint shops to explore. Beaver run is a very nice place to stay.
Great family resort. Lots of different terrain for all levels. Lots of easy/intermediate terrain for people just learning or who want to just chill.
We just moved to Colorado from Indiana where we see nothing but flat corn fields. This was our first trip out to the mountains and LOVED every moment!
The Gondola rides up to the resort area were a huge hit for pir kiddos (let's be honest me too). We got to see all the fun summer activities which was a huge surprise to me! So many fun activities for all ages! My kiddos are only 1 & 4 bit still had a blast. The free transportation around all of Breckenridge, the amazingly adorable downtown with every shop/restaurant you could need/want and the gorgeous resort are a must see. I can't wait for winter to experience skiing with my little for the first time!
Expensive, but worth it. Try to go on the weekdays for less crowd. Sucks to be waiting at the lift for 30min.
Great experience, well run, and plenty of "guides" to help you. Gondola is a little fast for kids and older people.
Breckenridge is one of our go to ski resorts. Can't go wrong with a visit to Breck! Would probably avoid it and go to a smaller resort on three day weekends and during the month of March (because of all the visitors), but it's awesome during the rest of the season! If you like tacos, go to peak 7 - some of the best tacos ever!
Love skiing Breckenridge. So many options in terms of terrain and skill levels. Have been coming to Breckenridge for over 20 years at spring break. Usually there is lots of snow during March and the temperatures are more balmy for skiing. This year was there already in the middle of February and the winter snow conditions were amazing. At one point during the week I received a report that in the last 7 days, 62 inches of snow had fallen. So much powder! The lift lines were mostly reasonable, although Sunday of President's Day weekend found them getting a bit long. Great low key resort without the pretentiousness of certain other Colorado ski resorts along I-70.
This ski town simply kicks but.
Awesome staff and amazing skiing
Spacious condo, great pools and hot tubs, ski in, ski out, and they have very good cusomer service! A must place to visit.
All the workers and staff here were super friendly and amazing to us as first timers! The mountain and snow was amazing as well. Highly recommend! Will be back!!
great place to ski. Lots of blues and blacks with enough greens to keep beginners busy.
For this being my first time in Breckenridge as a Native that was visiting this experience was pretty amazing. At first I was dreading walking in snow boots and carrying my board (Main Street Sports has amazing priced rentals) , to getting on a tiny bus to even riding the gondola but as soon as we made it to the slopes it was outstanding the view and snow. I was born in Colorado and the amount of snow that fell that whole week I was there was beyond mind blowing. I didn't buy a lift ticket or pay for a class cause I didn't know how to snowboard but feel the prices are accurate for the amount of time and effort you spending snowboarding or skiing. The staff is friendly had to as a guy where the beginner slopes are and how to stop my googles from fogging with my glasses. (Stay inside for 30 mins then put the goggles on) I fell a few times then finally went from the top to the bottom without falling. All in all made me feel amazing to be from such a beautiful place and even my Florida co-workers loved it until they fell and got a face full of snow.
A very beautiful place to visit around Christmas!! Definitely would recommend, it's a very family friendly place!
Have been coming here for a few days for the past 5 years... I absolutely love it.
My favorite part has always been going on top of the imperial express chair and cross over to the bowls. The views are simply stunning.
The snow has also always been great. Much better than anything I did growing up when skiing in the Alps actually! :)
We came primarily for the view and the excuse to ride the gondola. It was great finding out that dogs were allowed on the gondolas. Great for us, at least. Our dog was less impressed. We watched people struggle inside the human maze, which was fun. The quantity of entertainment options when there's no snow was quite impressive.
The location, food, customer services were excellent. Only lost 1 star due to dirty sheets and blankets but at the request, we received new ones.
I'm going 5 stars for the highest chair lifts making it easy to access awsome terrain.
I'It's a fantastic place for family and friends to hang out in the mountains.
I love being here. The slopes are amazing, everything was in good working order no complaints
Plenty of long well groomed trails, lots of lifts, well organized lines. Minus one star due to long flats that you just can't go around without going through black diamonds.
This place makes you feel like your high class in Hollywood. I love it.
Winter: Beginners need to stay on the abundant green runs and stay off of the blue runs. It's really the best resort for beginners. So much option. But as soon as they prematurely go to blue runs, it's dangerous for everyone. Stay on the green runs until you've done every green run twice, please. For advanced people, the runs are great, but definitely smaller terrain than keystone and less untouched tree runs than copper mtn. Vail is best for advanced skiers, but this is my home mtn so I do love Breckenridge a lot.
Summer: mountain biking and adventure parks are way overpriced for what it is, but the day camps for kids are a good deal if you need summer camp while your work. Why not offer local discounts for the kids and parents to enjoy the adventure Park here?!
Fantastic and beautiful place. We had great conditions
Great resort for family fun. Had a great week there... facilities well run and maintained.
Devon and Jojo or Johanna were a great help at the Rip s Ride lift. In fact all staff were helpful and great! Thanks for a wonderful family fun experience!
Brecks the best resort mon through thursday or when the snow is too deep for jerries to move XD
Beautiful as always, great hikes, fav ski area when it's open..
Great place for a week of skiing. Aviod the crowds as lines get long Friday till Sunday (upto 30 minutes to get on a lift)
A little expensive for smaller kids to do what they want. But if you buy all day pass maybe worth it if everything works. Zip line was down when went. Great place for family fun
Too many people have discovered that Breck is a fun place, so it's pretty crowded at peak times.
Fall in love with the mountains and test out a powder bowl! Also, highest lift in North America!
Nice summer views. Was not open yet and did not ski.
The location of this resort is great.
We stayed here for a time share presentation as we are looking to buy a place in Breck.
We stayed in the new building and the beds were hard. Also, they missed the mark on a lot of little details.
Overall we had a pretty bad experience
Friendly and helpful staff. Good for families. Great expert terrain. Magnificent views.
This place is amazing. So many things for family's to do. Plenty of hot tubs to relax in the movie theaters are great. We will def attempt to go back here in the future. Lots of outside activietys we didn't get around to doing.
Breckenridge is our favorite place to ski as a family. Great skiing, awesome town and lots to do
Thanks folks at the DoubleTree went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing time
Went skiing there in November. Not crowded like it usually is mid-season. We we're able to ride the gondola directly up from the parking lot to the bottom lift chairs!
Room had a great view. It is a huge complex with food venues in each major building. Long walk to parking deck. For old lady. But I want to go back. Beautiful resort.
No clear direction for beginner's to not end up on non beginner's trails. No lifters organizing lift lines as they should. Ski school teaching kids on advanced trails in the way of advanced riders.
Love Breckenridge! $28 a little high for the alpine slide but it was fun
Great skiing in a family-friendly atmosphere. Plenty of runs for groups of mixed skill-levels--they have something for everyone.
Haven't been snowboarding in about 5 years and this was the best place to come! It's so open and many options for different levels. Ski lift takes you all the way up! I highly recommend this location!
Breck is unbelievable. My entire family was there for a quick few day trip staying at the base of Peak 8 - Grand Colorado. We had an amazing time. My oldest was in Ski School with Holden and he took really great care of him. His skills really improved as well. All of the staff, lift attendents, ski patrol are all super professional and very kind. Can't wait to go back.
What a wonderful place so beautiful and kid friendly
Breckenridge is just beautiful! I go back every year just to see the beauty of this town.
Best ski resort! The runs, lifts, restaurants and staff are top notch. Even in the off season we had the best experience. Highly recommend to anyone.
We visited in the COVID summer, so our experience is only valid for hopefully a short amount of time.
Breckenridge is a very nice town in the mountains with a large set of ski mountains and slopes. This is upscale, so it is nicer than most and it costs more than most.
They have a gondola to get you between Peak 8, Peak 7 and the north end of downtown.
The downtown area has several nice restaurants and is surprisingly festive in a COVID world. Most restaurants have half-capacity seating indoors, so they have cafe style seating in the closed-off street.
Everyone is very mask and social-distancing aware and doing their best to be safe.
This is a dog-friendly town.
They have an alpine slide, which is good fun, but costs $28 per person, per ride and it takes an hour.
They have a coaster which we did not do here, but have done similar in Pigeon Forge, TN. Friends advised that the alpine slide is better.
They have chair lifts for mountain biking, but that was closed. We had an outfitter take us up Vail Pass and we rode back to town for a very nice experience - make reservations days in advance.
They have some hiking trails, but we found them to have limited value.
Overall it was a nice family outing, but it was limited because of COVID.
Awesome time with friends and family! Can get a little confusing so take your time learning, but friendly staff! Never hard to find help. Great and memorable time!
Half the glades were closed for seemingly no reason, they were full of fresh powder. The day pass was enormously expensive, the most expensive of any resort I've ever visited. The staff were all lazy. The resort is packed full of families and teenagers. The lift lines are huge. It does have some decent terrain, however there are other resorts in the Rockies that offer much more for a fairer price. Would not recommend.
Pricey, but the resort staff will go out of their way to help out with any problems to make your experience memorable.
Full disclosure: I have been skiing here for 30 years. Now that I have retired, I volunteer here as Mountain Ambassador. They give me a lift pass and a toasty-warm uniform.
