Came here for an emergency and I had to wait 2 hours to see a doctor. I don t think I will ever come back here. Worst employees as they are rude and don t really care if you need help or not. If this is emergency care I rather die with a huge medical debt than get free VA care.
I've torn both ACLs and I've been in triage for 10 days! I can barely walk...
I just moved here from California and I can say without a doubt that the care received here is superior in every way. There is no cost Valet Parking and the pharmacy is great. My prescriptions are filled very fast. All of the physicians that I have been see by are courteous and professional.
Came down to the VA Hospital to pickup a Thanksgiving Dinner package from Ken Garff. The hospital was also giving the flue shots and the Covid tests if you had an up coming appt.
My girlfriend served two years fighting for our country and she was treated poorly by the staff so rude never again will she go there seeking help
They will probably keep you alive, but they aren't going to try to improve your mental or physical health. There has only been 1 person in the entire SLC VA system that I found helpful out of the hundreds I've seen. Three month wait to get a primary care physician...hope you're not dying... I was sent to another location for primary care since it was 3 months at this location, which would be great if it wasn't going to be moved 40 miles away from my home soon.
I have been a VA patient in California, Arizona and Utah. It's impossible to avoid the bureaucracy of the VA system, but this location does the best that it can. They have holistic heathcare options, unlike most. They have gone above and beyond to protect my heathcare privacy so I can have all my benefits that we have earned. It has not been perfect here, but close enough.
I would like to express my gratitude for the VA hospital in Salt Lake City for taking such great care of my father. He was in the hospital for approximately 5 weeks passed away on Tuesday. What an amazing staff they have in the ICU. Every single one of the nurses are amazing. We can't thank them enough for their professionalism and support. They saved his life but unfortunately his body was worn out. Thanks to you all again.
For the most part, this VA hospital provides the best service I've had when comparing other VA Medical Centers. They have the latest in medical technology and the staff are knowledgable, well trained, and are professional and nice.
They are good about getting appointments set and will make sure to provide 2nd party assistance for any appointments outside the 30-day window or for the minimal services they don't provide in house.
The staff is augmented by the University of Utah hospital which makes things run smoother and less likely to get overwhelmed by patients needing care.
It's hard to believe that people that were in the service would think they would get any better or any different when they went to the VA if you didn't like the service don't go to the VA if you like the service the VA will take care of you one way or another in my opinion.
