NO STARS for this one...My daughter was injured in October 2017 at her school who uses their insurance for accidents on campus. I filed everything with them properly only to find out they were sending letters to the wrong addresses for the hospital and all departments. I then gave them the correct information and still nothing was done. I even gave all the doctors and hospital departments Myers Stevens & Toohey's contact information and they still aren't doing anything about paying what they owe. I went ahead and paid two accounts that had gone into collections and now I can't get them to reimburse me. Each time I request it, they send me in circles to try to collect information that isn't available to patients. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND USING THEM and because of their behavior, the school will now be facing a lawsuit and they will be included.

DON'T BE FOOLED!!! I bought this plan for my son who is a freshman -- he injured hi knee while running AT SCHOOL - DURING PRACTICE .... everything about the injury was SCHOOL RELATED... and they denied the claim, stating it was "not due to a specific accident as described by the policy". The school trainer submitted the medical details, as did his doctor. Everything was documented specifically. This is a SCAM!!!!

In my initial phone call with our "claims adjuster" I was told it takes an average of 10 days to review the claim and send it to the under-writers for approval. Over a month later, she scoffed and said "I never said that". No, I just pulled that sentence out of the air.... Anyhow. I submitted the claim form at the beginning of the month of March. Now July, MONTHS later, they send me a denial letter and right before the holiday too to boot so I can do nothing other than file online complaints with the California State Department of Insurance and the State Attorney General's office. and send them emails disputing their denial of our claim. They say no accident so no injury. Yet the kid was injured on a school field trip and came home injured and I had to pay hundreds of dollars out of my pocket to cover the costs of co-pay and portions not paid by the regular insurance. DO NOT trust this company as far as you can throw it!

They are HORRIBLE to work with. It took them 5 months to pay. I felt so bad for the doctors that we went to that were waiting on payment. This company kept dragging their feet.
They kept asking us for more and more info, like, "in order to continue to process this claim, we need a copy of the incident report." They didn't send a request for all the info at one time but every month we got another letter asking for more info from my insurance or the doctor or the ER. We ended up speaking to an attorney who said that they legally have to gather the needed info themselves but it takes more time. The attorney said that this is what usually happens with these companies. Thankfully they paid but it took sooooooo long and it was soooooo frustrating working with them. I honestly worry that if there is another incident with my children, they aren't going to pay or they will take so long that we may have something filed against us from the Dr.
I CANNOT IN GOOD FAITH RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
