No parking: sit for 20 minutes to get to the parking, search for 25 minutes and place and drove out of pure misery. The sick are amputated instead of helped.

Pediatric ophthalmology is not a good word for the staff at the reception there.
They had unsubscribed my son without saying anything and we waited 2 hours for nothing.
Putting the blame on each other and not looking for a solution, for example, do you want to be helped or do we make a new appointment? Nothing.
Please look for another job. Total patient unfriendly.
Dermatology idem.
Doctor just walks away. No time for questions. Treatment only half done.
1 chaos there.
Parking no longer of this time. Horrible. You can only go early before 9 am. But then you stand in the traffic jam to UZ. 1 access road to it.
It's called a top hospital mss (should also). But they let patients wait unnecessarily and without honor. They literally let 4 patients come to the same doctor at 8 o'clock in the morning so take a half-day leave if you need to come for a consultation. Other hospitals in Ghent score much better
Great doctors and pros. Very skilled in all kinds of areas.
Great place in Belgium for any TRANS people who are followed there.
very friendly and capable staff, certainly in the children's department
Lousy free internet, all but http/https on standard ports is blocked. No imap, chat, irc, ..
As for the hospital, I find the service at Sint Lucas to be the best in Ghent so far...
in this hospital, the tests almost always give positive results to healthy people. for example my mother did a pcr and it came out positive. she went to medina clinic in eeklo the next day, and then suddenly it was negative, i advise people not to visit this hospital. This is a rip off, they hand out positive tests to raise money. Consequence, lost plane ticket and lost money for the scam test. Many false positives scare people. devil's plan
For follow-up on first blood draw in response to something I am concerned with, I had to contact 2 months later, especially early March because there was a patient freeze. They should have told me that in advance, then I would not have spent all day with them from one service to another. Then contact them in early March and they apologize that the patient freeze has been extended to September, or perhaps to next year, they couldn't say. You will then receive an invoice that I, of course, protested for half-worries. If there is no follow-up, they should not be charged anything, because the first investigation does not make sense, a small child even understands that. They disagree with my protest and are awaiting my reaction to it. In short, not professional, no follow-up nor solution ... I recommend going elsewhere if you want good care
Yes it is a hospital.
But I would rather go to AZ Maria Middelares
How they got you there .... well .. pff. my children will not go there anymore
Let us be honest nobody likes to come to the hospital. But now we have been in U.Z. I have to say that you are very well received here and the doctors are super friendly.
The agreements are always on time.
A central parking lot from where you can easily get to the surrounding buildings and you should not be afraid to get lost because everything is very well marked.
There is a discount on the parking fee when you are a patient.
It is a dangerous place, as if covid is not enough a raptor was on the loose.
Extensive hospital complex where WSS has the most medical expertise in East Flanders.
They operate a patient they give a word they do not stick to their word I get appointment but do not get accepted then get another appointment but this time because I was few minutes late but in hospital I have not been helped !! ! Urology department can just get the pot on !! If you can not help patients, then you should not stand there either !!!
Large Hospital with a lot of expertise. Found a nice spot between the big one.
staff super friendly ..... waiting times for appointment sometimes too long ..... super trained staff. Parking nightmare .....
I had surgery in 1992, Professor Sereyn has been removed from a breast tumor with me, and after 13 days I was home! He has so done great for the chest which still was a fairly large carcinoma, treat / reform by wide around the bad tissue cut away everything and then sew together the tissues again, so that the shape of the breast returns to normal is!
The only thing I liked about it was a scar, as a precaution the axillary nodes were removed.
The nursing staff was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly, I felt fine there, as far as possible ...
In the meantime, I read that there are black-eyed people, That they present themselves at the Jan Yperman hospital, they cannot read photos there! I had supposedly (according to the nurses, the radiologist, the acting doctor called (emergency) a broken wrist, nothing was further from the truth: in plaster for no reason ... Complainants do not worry: it's too far, it is not good in terms of food, it is this and that ... come: we all know that only the treatment and care is the key !!
We have used this hospital on a few times and have been very satisfied.
I think it is outrageous that people have simply doubled the price for the parking. If someone visits a family member or acquaintance every day, it becomes a very expensive undertaking. We do not yet speak of the medical costs. Was that really necessary?
In my opinion, the most progressive hospital in Belgium, the most modern techniques, 18 operating rooms, innovative. Only the meals supplied by the Sodexo company were less, but edible. The nursing team in the ward was super friendly and friendly. Will definitely never go to another ZH again.
I chose French option and the person who answered did not want to answer me in French. Too bad. Why we put the choice of languages on the phone
Very good clinic we go for everything to the uz in Ghent and sometimes tired you have to wait too long for an appointment and sometimes nie and rush you have to wait everywhere as long as I used to go to other clinics there I was not helped but search in uz gent them until they find it
They have always treated me with respect, 2 plus points, very friendly nurses and doctors, but also the people who clean the rooms etc ..., big congratulations always clean, this can also be said. from Danny Trinquet
A really good hospital with many specialists in every area of the body. And they invest in well-trained doctors instead of other things such as in the Netherlands.
They have a few specialized doctors for every disease there. But remember that it is best to make an appointment because otherwise you can wait for hours there. For the rest, it is easily accessible by public transport tram 4, bus 5, the tram stops at the UZ site on K12.
I was born there, have already had several operations and they search until they find what it is and do not operate just like that
Is just like a company, patients are treated as products, doctors only give half the explanation or in an unintelligible "language", organization = catastrophe so waiting times are too much, in the rush it is also TOO slow, very much arrogant - rude staff, is just a pussy hospital, and all those who contradict this are wrong
By the way ... a big fat compliment to Prof.Bongaerts and Prof. dr. Kalala!
Phone number on the site is not correct.Have to hear that it is blocked. Is the hospital still there? And if so, does someone have the right number?
My score concerns' Prof. Dr. De Wilde Lieven & my industrial accident / sat. issue! '... in 2013 I register with a' distal biceps repture 'at UZ Gent, I do not know who is a specialist there for this type of injury, so I rely more on the expertise of UZ Gent, who entrusted me to the concerns of Prof. dr. Dr. De Wilde L. after '5 years' I know that this was an incorrect choice. Prof. Dr. De Wilde L. is a specialist for the shoulder, and my 'popeye muscle' injury is usually (92%) caused by tearing off a biceps tendon on the shoulder. Not with me, with me it was 'distal' for 2/3 torn biceps tendon on the forearm. This is not his specialty so you would expect him to refer me to a Dr. specialist in this, but no, beyond report saying 'it can be operated with a high chance of nerve damage and ...'. Nothing was done about my injury at UZ Gent ($$$ many scans, ultrasounds, and consultations no recovery operation - MSS not interesting enough for a UZ Prof., the file then ended up with the 'Patriek' ombudsman service at UZ Gent , I suspect that the ombuds service is there to defend the interests of the doctors, certainly not for the patient. To end positively, after 6 years and residive, a successful operation was performed, but not at UZ Gent!
probably the best hospital in the world!
Mr.Heiniken
Very big site. Friendly people all though you notice it s a large operation since everyone is a bit more rushed and you feel more like a number.
But they do a very good job.
I went there for vaccination with a couple of friends in December 2017. Got charged double comparing to my friends because of a 'software mistake'. I am still waiting for an answer to my complaint for more than 8 months now... In the meanwhile they contacted a debt collector so now I have to pay bills I never made!!!!!!!!!!!! What a good way for UZ to fill their budget at expense of patients in need
Large university hospital. Very knowledgeable staff. Nursing is also professional and helpful.
A big blunder, and me and my girlfriend can live with the consequences .. I think they want to make it easy for them.
It is as if they are waiting for my girlfriend to die. Our trust in uz gent is completely destroyed.
And the (still good)
Score is probably due to their own staff and maybe the media that wants to bring you in a good light.
Man man man, by appointment and still Always have to wait for you pfffffff ale by tonight mss I will have something of results.
perfect only better respect the agreements are very often moved
Food poor the Doctor very good the urgency very poor, have to wait far too long for a doctor to come. Poor recovery
Spoed is 1 km from the bus stop. Try to do that with a broken foot. Shuttle service?
Hello I help live in the Netherlands and I am very dissatisfied with the care and the enormous care costs. You literally pay the top prize for everything! My wisdom teeth must be removed. I would like to know how much it costs in Belgium for the dental surgeon? And also if I can use my current health insurance policy ?? Here it costs 400, which I am not going to pay. Someone some idea what it costs on average in Belgium. Please let me know.
Unfriendly, unclear, they think they invented the hot water, but they lack all humanity there.
Very good hospital prof and doctor nurse caring friendly staff recently operated there
Dr. Beirnaert Veerle was very unprofessional. She was unfriendly and unworthy of people, she gave us no explanation and absolutely no compassion. We drove specially 4 hours for an appointment on the recommendation of the hospital, this does not give a good reputation at UZ Gent. We are very disappointed.
Incredible service. Time and again I am grateful for the expertise, kindness and compassion of everyone we came in contact with.
I would recommend to anyone who needs it to go to that hospital.
A shame how they deal with Lyme disease there, sometimes history gets a repeat. The leper period .... No knowledge of Lyme and disbelief ... My life has become hell
Good afternoon, I can say nothing else or good my husband died there on June 30 on palliative he was surrounded with the best care. I also had surgery there a few times, very satisfied With the best regards Jeanine
UZ is simply excellent, especially if there is something bad! With that I want to say that you can go there for anything, but if you are in bad shape or you have one or other bad or special condition or illness you should be in the UZ anyway because in my opinion they are the only one where you have a chance on cure or survival and I speak from experience through family events. Glad they were there then! Highly recommended for everyone and everything!
I was hospitalized at the hospital in Gand. Care by the very kind and very professional Doctor Delveau. And the availability of them. And always attentive I need the patients I advise everyone
I would like to thank the entire medical team of the PMA service. You are really competent, sympathetic and attentive. A true example of team spirit. You work with your hearts and you reach the heart of the patient. thank allah who directed me to you.
Very solid hospital, sometimes with long waiting times
Really Top doctors who are passionately looking for the best solution for healing the patient, no matter how complex the disease may be. Professional and helpful staff. Little maze but once you know where to go, everything goes smoothly. A satisfied patient in advance.
Very friendly and helpful kind-hearted staff. Helped with a broad smile and made me familiar. Especially fine this way when you have the first consultation. Super easy to reach with public transportation. Get on the tram at Gent Sint Pieters station and for UZ Gent is the terminus where you can get on and off the tram. Fantastic arranged!
I would like to thank the staff of the ophthalmology service, who are really competent and super friendly.
One of the best hospitals! Very satisfied with :-) Top service!
In p8 at dentist a shame how they laugh with people there. A girl was in a lot of pain during her consultation and she went to report it to reception afterwards and they start laughing with 3 young desk clerks. Btw: a little friendlier on the phone is allowed in the future because I also record the conversations.
In short: 'wonderful service!'
Whatever staff of UZ Gent, the people here still work with a sparkling passion!
The staff here are very dynamic and responsive; here they work professionally with heart and soul. As a patient and / or visitor one already notices the presence of skilled hands combined with a lot of knowledge and understanding.
No other hospital, anywhere, can match you all in the UZ Gent Team! Your generally human-friendly helpful hearts already heal many ailments and wounds!
Likewise, all doctors and medical staff, of any service, (blood collection service, PoliBas, orthopedic secretariat, internal care department of orthopedics staff ...) are like no other place in Belgium - I scoured enough hospitals to get me there dare to express - so competent, so progressive and at the same time passionate about caring for people. In contrast to other hospitals, human well-being is still central here. My sincere compliments to the general board members who distill with their fantastic 'screenwork'!
The tram line stops in the center on the UZ Gent domain. (See attached picture)
There is also the most specialized, lovingly and aesthetically beautiful children's hospital. ( see attached pictures) )
The parking has become financially ticket-friendly. Let this also mean a budgetary plus. More information can be found at the info desk UZ Gent or on the general number UZ Gent.
Healthy greetings,
Yoeka & Ann Loffens
And Kris my dear friend who turned out to be over-enthusiastic about UZ Gent.
I was at the Pet Center today for an examination.
Several staff members and nurses have dealt with me.
Rarely have I seen such friendly, concerned and helpful people in a hospital!
Good hospital. Only parking and driving there is hell. Heavy traffic jams around the hospital.
11 years ago I operated on my back to avoid having SCOLIOSIS! Now, but I went to see my surgeon a week ago and he told me that my scoliosis is stabilizing, and I am very proud of this Prof. DR Franck Plassachaert and I am so proud to see this doctor and his team again medical! my opinion on this doctor I give 9.8 / 10 and 10/10 to the nurses and I give the opinion on the hospital 19.5 / 20!
Very friendly and speak Dutch the Flemish patois of West Flanders and English and explain several times if you do not understand this hospital is maybe a labyrinth so it's huge but for my operation I'm going to Ghent it's clear and more of specialties for surgery etc ... I highly recommend
Unfortunately, often, but no other hospital would want more, here they are really human and always friendly in all areas and that you still need when you go to a doctor!
What can I say...they saved my life :-). Okay, some buildings are dated and the parking is really an issue, but the competence of the staff and the love and devotion with which they help you is second to none!
Super modern hospital with very competent staff. Top
Always the best pros and correct help .... sometimes not always friendly, but the result counts (people are under great stress ....)
I was there once for a tooth extraction. The doctors and the staff were very kind and helpful. Everything is well-structured and hassle free.
At Intensive Care people are super polite by lying there I have this experience
The medical services are fine but the hospital is badly managed. It is managed in a rather old-fashioned, bureaucratic way with too little respect for the patient/customer. For example, the hospital cancelled one of appointment for my son and rescheduled a new one at a time which was not convenient for us without informing us. So, we only found out on the day when the appointment was initially scheduled after having taken a half-day off work and driven all the way from Brussels to Ghent. The hospital supposedly sent us a letter whihc we never received...and who still sends letters nowdays anyway? ! I'm aware that unfortunately many hospitals may still have similar practices but I'm hoing sch reviews can act as a wake-up call for this sector!
