Some things that we didn t know where to find online (and had to call to find out):

1. You need close-toe shoes for all activities.
2. Children must be 10 to ride the 64 tube slide, and 13 to ride the 90 tube slide.
3. Children must weigh 50lbs to ride the Freestyle Zip-line, and 100lbs to ride the Extreme Zip-line.
4. Tube slides close at 4:30 even though the park is open until 7:00 (on the weekends).
5. There s no good place to leave backpacks or water bottles, so it s recommended to leave them in your car.

This has been one of the items on my bucket list for about three years and we finally had the opportunity to road trip across the country and made sure the Utah Olympic Park made the activity list. We had the absolute best time checking out the facility (since future Olympians still train there annually) and learning about the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic Winter Games. Although you can walk (or ride a bike) throughout the facility, we opted to take the $24 tour which took us to the top of the bobsled run and ski jumps for the most amazing Insta posts you could ever imagine. I definitely recommend the tour. There's a chill that runs through your body knowing that you've stood where some of the greatest athletes impressed the entire world. As you walk around, you can just imagine the anticipation, excitement, and buzz in the air...and, of course, the celebration when USA won gold in Skeleton after 54 years of not having Skeleton a part of the Olympic Games! During the summer, the facility has many activities you can do, including a (wheeled) bobsled run (starting at turn six), rope obstacle courses, zip lines, ski jump training, and much more. During the winter, they'll even take you down the bobsled run in a real bobsled! I'm definitely going to come back for that sometime soon. Whether you're a history buff or just like the Olympic Games in general, you'll absolutely enjoy yourself at Utah Olympic Park which is now in the good hands of the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation.

The line for the Alpine slide was long but the wait for everything else wasn't bad at all. The ziplines were everyone's favorite activity of the morning. Wish there were a couple more options for little ones.

It was really fun! There was a little hike to get to the slides but its was shaded so it wasn't that bad. The discovery course is fun and it only takes 15 to 30 minutes depending on how fast you go. The zip line is worth the wait. The Alpine slide was entertaining because you can control your speed and every so often you get a nice view off the mountain.

This is a great family friendly fun place to visit. The Olympic museum is free, but the zip lines into being are well worth the price of admission. The mountain biking in this area is also outstanding. The yeti trail can be a bit steep in places but the scenery more than makes up for the effort.

Fun place but long lines. In your 2 hour ticket, you will barely make each ride once. I had a 10 and 11 yr old with me. Start in zip line, then extreme tubing, the lounge and end in the ropes course, because they keep that open past your ticket expiration window.

The staff is nice and friendly. I highly recommend the tour. So worth it! We were able to see and hear about things that you can read about on the second floor of the museum but to see it in person is something else!

If you are interested in the bobsled experience make sure you look at the hours they run it. I didn't pay attention to that part and we missed it.

I really enjoyed the virtual experience rides too. They were fun and different.

It was all a wonderful experience!!!

My family and I have gone to the UOP for the past two years. The activities to the West (drop tower, ropes course, bobsled) are fun and easy to get onto and through. The biggest problem with the ropes course is when someone in front of you is very nervous or afraid and they get stuck. You end up waiting for them to continue or to be rescued and pulled through the course by employees. This happened to us each time we went on a ropes course. The drop tower is a lot of fun with two drop options - 10 foot free fall or continuous feed.

On the East of the park are the Extreme Zip line, Extreme Tubing, and the Alpine Slide. The tubing is new this year and is fun and fast. The wait is short and you need to either hike up to it or down from getting off the lift. The Zip line and Alpine Slide are a totally different story! The wait to ride each is easily 45 minutes but when the line is full and crowded, plan on 90+ minutes! The Zip line was an average of 3 minutes between pairs zipping down (40 people per hour) and if they need to change brakes on the seats, plan on longer waits because it takes a seat out of commission for 2-4 runs. The time between cars on the Alpine slide was a minute or so. The green light would light up for the next rider and the employee would continue to hold the car for another 15-30 seconds before being released.

My advice, go when it isn't busy (whenever that may be) and/or expect the lines. Make sure you can handle doing the activity without debilitating fear so things can run smoothly. If you don't like long wait lines, try another location like Park City, Deer Creek, Snowbird, or Sundance for Zip lines and other activities.

You can also visit the park to watch people ski jump into the pool or simply explore the event history, these are all free.

Very fun experience at the Utah Olympic Park, even in the summertime! The museum is full of interesting things. We enjoyed watching ski jumpers practice jumping into the pool and giant airbags. And the extreme zip line? Totally worth $25. Great time for all.

I thought it was pretty neat to visit this place. Just to stand and imagine what it would have been like during the Olympics. Cool also to see that a lot of the stuff is still being used.

Museum is very interesting, with a couple hands on things for the kids. Many youth were practicing jumps off the ramps and into the pool. There is one free rope course for the kids. Then the other experiences cost money, beginning with the Discovery Course for $22/kid. They go up from there to $80 for extreme tubing and zip line. We had our 4 grandkids and had a blast!

On a whim, Jeni and I stopped by the Utah Olympic Sports Park because I had not been there before.
What an experience. We arrived just in time for the ski jumpers to perform their acrobatics and land in the pool!
Of coarse I forgot to take pics! Sheesh!!!
You will love it. They perform Sat and Sun at 1pm. Be sure to check it out if you are going to Park City.
Oh, and we say the ski museum and really enjoyed it.
Thanks Utah!!!

Nice facility, the weekend ski jumping event was great but zero signs/info to enter the show. We found out dont bother waiting in long line inside, go out to gated area and pay cash to the kids checking tickets. With NO signs its frustrating.

This was better than expected. Just an impromptu trip and found out there is a free museum. Exhibits on the 2002 Salt Lake Winter games. Definitely worth a visit with interactive exhibits as well that the kids liked. And the price is right...free! There are guided tours and other paid services that we did not take part but looked reasonably priced.

It was so cool watching the skiers practice jumps into the pool! We loved the museum too, and it was fun to go up close to see everything that went into the 2002 SLC Olympics! Definitely worth the visit if you are in the area.

We really enjoyed our time here, some of us did a rope course, while others did a tower drop. We all enjoyed it, and the museum was a lot of fun to explore. Many of the other activities looked like a load of fun. The activities eere pretty affordable too!
