Sorry, rather disappointed. The museum is geared for children.

Impressive and stunning. Worthwhile and interesting. Manned by US Navy sailors who will answer any questions you may have. Makes history come to life.

Old Ironsides is a national treasure, but it is the active duty crew that really brings the ship to life. They have the history and origin of each part of ship in their heads, and are more than happy to share their knowledge. The museum itself is very well done as well, and has much to offer.

Beautiful and amazing. One of our favorite sites in Boston. Make sure to bring photo ID in order to board the ship.

Yay free! Great living history in the heart of Boston! Well organized, always great to see our service men & women stationed some place where they can interact with the public and dare I say be safe and have fun? Educational, amazing views of the harbor, cool on the waterfront, on a hot day. Great gift shop & museum

Incredibly well kept and preserved ship, can't believe its free to enter!

Great history and very informative. This museum is located on the freedom trail. There are many interactive things for kids to do here.

Good for both kids and adults. It isn't a huge museum and was pretty busy, so there was people everywhere. Free with heavy suggestions to donate everywhere. Parking is $14 with validation at the Nautica Parking Garage.

oh my gosh it was so fun and amazing and so interesting. If your in Boston definitely visit this. It's one of the most in-depth and interesting museum and it is a must see if you have children.

Great historic ship. A must see if you like American history.

Amazing ship. The captain dressed in period garb, explained many things about the ship, like who slept where. The history of planning maneuvers, the different types of 'shot' out of the canons and what damage they did. It was truly a different world than what we are used to. A must see!

Small but informative museum. Only need an hour or less to do the whole thing. This is separate from the actual ship, but it is helpful to visit prior to the ship.

So much fun for the kids and family. Interactive while learning!

I was truly amazed by the size and quality of this ship. Still active and serving as a special contributor to our history. Crew is active duty personnel and has scheduled terms on station. I was honored in hosting the American flag on the ship. And was presented with it. There is a small fee, but well worth it.

A marvel of a boat, unique in the world, with a very educational set up and workshops for more explanations. Sailors are very nice but beware the prices of the shop are higher than elsewhere.

Amazing amount of history here, definitely worth a visit even for an hour.

Old "Iron sides "is beautiful. You can climb up and down the decks, learn about life in the Navy back then, and very a feel for the battles she fought and won!

skip the child oriented musem and just go to the actual ship.

It was lots of fun. The staff are very kind and informative. After exploring the ship, it s worth coming in here and learning more about its construction and history. They ve worked hard to make sure it is a great experience for visitors of all ages. There is no entry fee, though they do ask for a suggested donation.

We couldn't miss this museum although we've been here many times. It's the actual ship that saw battle during the war with the British. As someone who has designed and worked on ships before I can really appreciate the limited space and equipment that they have in the old days. Highly recommend and you bet we will be back.

I love the boat! Was really great to have real Sailors wondering about answering the myriad of ridiculous questions that everyone had with great patience and humor. I know something of the boat, and was explaining to some kids about how some equipment worked, and one of the sailors came over and helped me do a demonstration with some props! What fun! It's a grand ship with a grand history and a must see if you're going to Boston.

If you like tall ships this was the one that defended our country!

Absolutely amazing museum next to the USS Constitution. Definitely geared towards kids but just as interesting for adults. So many hands on exhibits and activities, it's impossible to get bored. Staff was very nice and knowledgeable. And it's free!! A no brainner for anyone visiting the are with kids and an interest in history!

The presenter Seaman Edwards was fantastic. He seemed to really know and love US naval history.

This donate what you can afford entrance is a great musuem for children. It has a lot of hands on activities for children that help them contextualize the content. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The exhibits were relevant and well maintained.

This was a much better way to understand this history than the national park nearby

Ship is undergoing renovations at my visit, but the museum is fun for kids and very captivating for adults!

The oldest commissioned warship in the world dating back 1797. How cool is that?

Incredible experience! I enjoyed the ability to freely roam about the deck and interior of the ship. It's a great way to learn about an amazing piece of American history.

We celebrated the birthdays of the Navy, the U.S.S. Constitution (Old Ironsides) and the Cason Young. Took a tour of Old Ironsides too.

Beautiful ship. So grateful that our nation is preserving this part of its heretage.

Today's visit was quite unexpected and fantastic! During school vacation week they are offering a Lego build with all kinds of bricks and a contest throughout the week. It also coincides with the Miniature Master models. Amazing!!! We had lots of fun and plan to go again when we have more time to walk through the regular museum displays. Today we just focused on the special exhibits. Also hope to go aboard the ship next time. Gift shop reasonably priced and lots of variety. *Admission by donation! it!!!

Great to see a real wooden ship that is still a part of the Navy.

How can you not love Old Ironsides?!? Its a great place for kids and adults to learn about our country's early history and explore such an amazing ship!

It's cool.... But pretty off limits when we were there. Had to walk around it because there was no admittance when we were there, but DEFINITELY CHECK OUT THE Castle Island pop up beer garden. Just follow the path down the side of the USS Constitution and it's by the marina

It's a bit far from the station, but it's free so it's worth the trip. You need an ID with a face photo.

This ship has been carefully restored and is an experience not to be missed if you are in Boston and love American history, especially naval history. Real life active duty naval seamen are posted here and provide engaging narratives about various parts of the ship. The adjacent museum is also interesting. Both have excellent gift shops. Take the ferry to and/or from the ship for $3.50 each way

The museum is not bad, especially if you are with children, but if you are in a hurry, you can skip it

Museum is nice, especially for kids. Admission is free, donations are welcomed.

Super interesting naval history stroll with the guides. They answered all our questions. In COVID times everything was up to state and federal guidelines in terms of sanitizing.

Loved that it wasnt a replica! Beautiful ship! Staff was welcoming and very knowledgeable!

We walked a lot to get there, hint it's closed on Mondays.

Fantastic experience! Despite the govt shutdown and the visitors centre being closed, the naval personnel were both efficient and really nice. The museum next door is well worth the visit also.
