Was lied to by a rep that my Visa Classic was upgradeable very easily. All the research I ve done says otherwise, I can t find one persons testimony saying they got upgraded. I even spoke with a supervisor who told me it s impossible. I keep having little charges pop up on my account that I can t even find. So many glitches in the credit card part of the app. I asked again to upgrade my card because I m having glitches with my card that they don t even offer anymore but they said no. Clearly this Visa Classic is neglected because it s an old card but they don t want to give me a new one.

Their pricing has continued to go up every year for several years now. They are no longer a viable or affordable option. They are the very difficult to deal with as all communication for banking/insurance is via telephone. There are continual errors working with their customer service folks. Their CD rates are one of the lowest in town as well.
not as good as the used to be. I guess USAA only looks out for you if you are active duty military. Had my credit card stolen at work, which was my fault, filed a credit card fraud complaint and canceled my previous credit card. Month later all the purchases that the person who had stolen my credit card made were put back on my account, all together about $700. Then the fraud representative with USAA called me and said my claim was not justified and that it was a fake claim, then she told me this action could jeopardize my membership with USAA and I ve been a member for 24 years. Do yourself a favor and find someone better who will look out for you.
Trusting in USAA to put there customers first would be a foolish choice. The word member means nothing to USAA anymore. USAA used to be above the curve in the banking industry. A leader! Now USAA is far behind the curve and is a follower at best!
ATTENTION ALLLLL MILITARY PERSONNEL, VETERAN, if you ever call in to change your address on your policy, be advised it will be changed HOWEVER, the location of your vehicle won't be changed resulting in the POSSIBILITY OF you paying higher premium. At no POINT when the policy is being being renewed, will this information be corrected BECAUSE according to BRETT at USAA federal law recommends not requires, RECOMMEND communication be from member to company, not company to member to say HEY, we we realize an error here.....DONT SEEK THAT from the great ole USAAA. WHY STAY with a bank that don't even have the decency to answer your question instead he gets annoyed because apparently they give me money and not the other way around.
This bank have the worst drive-through teller service I have ever seen. I spent an hour and a half if not longer in a line just for a tell her to tell me I would have to call the customer service help line to get my request completed.
USAA has no personnel available face to face to help you figure out problems with your account. Then deemed it fit to close my account almost two months ago in the meanwhile they have prevented me from signing in to my account wont talk to me wont give me my money which they have held hostage all this time My credit card balance was 3500 and change when they closed it yesterday i revceived a statement telling me i owed them $29,429. everything has been closed all this time no credit card activity by me or anyone else shows my payment of $25,658 but yet i have a $29,000 balance no help from the phone personnel "we need to send you a text with a code" Well i dont have my phone with me "how about an email" what good would that do by the time i get my phone this booth will be occupied by someone else. Zero help Shame on you USAA
Please fix the document upload feature on Usaa.com. It needs to be more robust. It says it will take up to 30mb, but would not take my 28.5mb pdf. I had to play with the file types, file sizes, file quantity, and browser type to get my brokerage forms to upload. I m happy to increase my star rating once document upload improves. Or, offer more free options for customers to send in their documents versus postage.
I m Very frustrated with their banking representatives. I m having issues with mobile deposits and when i called, both representatives i spoke with were short and condescending to me. I ve been a loyal customer for 35 years and love the insurance side of the company, but I m going to have to find a local bank with real tellers for my banking needs.
Waited an 1.5 for a teller check.. when the rep at customer service said I could go for one.. again waited in line for 1.5 hours!! For usaa motor bank to say I couldn t do it. Is usaa going to compensate my time .. No! Is the rep going to get written up for providing wrong information .. No! Don t waste your time waiting in the long lines.
2.5 total stars should give you some idea of the service they provide to service members and their families. The commercials about going the extra mile are lies. Problem after problem before COVID. Now to do any banking in person you have to take a vacation day just to get thru the line because it is minimum 1 hour wait. The service at this branch is the worst I have ever seen of any business. For your own sanity take your money somewhere else. Anywhere else. Even a sock drawer has better service.
Insurance rates are double to triple of the competition for Military. Loan department not willing to work with Military that have credit hardship due to PCS/move. Was wonderful 10+ years ago, now they are leeching off of service members.
They do not have enough branches to serve their customers, so lines for the drive through are unbelievable. There must be over 100 cars in the drive through today and that s completely normal for this location, I have to plan 3-4 hours to wait in line whenever I need to make a deposit. USAA has all the money in the world, take better care of your customers (and create jobs) by opening more branches.
Stopped by the branch first thing to pick up our check for closing cost based on the amount we were told by our lender the night before. Got to Stewart Title prepared to sign all documents for closing our home and was told our closing cost check was 5 cents short. And if you ve ever experienced this you can t give them literally a nickel, it has to be in the form of a check. Quickly went back to the branch waited in line and the associate that assisted me was quick to provide it and didn t charge me to do so. (I was pretty worried I d have to pay $5 for a 5 cent money order)
If you talk to 10 employees about getting a vehicle loan you will get 10 different answers. We almost lost out on a vehicle because of USAA inability to to their job. I cant wait until I can settle down somewhere and get all my money, loans, and insurance away from USAA. They are just a hot mess.
It's difficult to criticize USAA, since as Banks go they're about the only institution left that still holds to a few principles. Problems have been relatively few and minor since I switched to them over a decade ago. Customer service, however, has gone to hell in the past few years as they've phased out all forms of support outside of the phone tree and a FAQ that masquerades as a chat interface, like all the corporations do these days. Frankly I wish the competition were less barbaric so that USAA hadn't outgrown the need to care about maintaining positive customer relations.
Even if you manage to reach a live support representative, they have no information. Last night I received an email informing me that USAA had reason to believe that my debit information, "may have been obtained by unauthorized individuals through non-USAA systems" and thus they were issuing a new card. Yet when I finally spoke with a human being, she could shed no further light on the issue. You would think that if a service I patronized is not going to inform me directly that they had experienced a security breach, then USAA would at least do me the honor of identifying the business, themselves, so that I could take the necessary actions to better protect myself. Not too many years ago, they would have.
Definitely not the same service after 12 years they rates are a lot higher than other banks.They don t honor import line they should and like they say. You can get cheaper insurance at progressive and cheaper home loans other places. They don t do home equity line.
USAA is the best bank ever.I will never bank with anyone else! Best insurance too! They actually care about veterans and our families and they always friendly when I call customer service.They go out of their way to accomadate your financial needs.Great bank!
Member 30 years. All products. Good service in 80s-2000s. Since 2010s USAA has lost professionalism and courteous service of their military members. Latest claim for uninsured motorist accident not resolved one month. USAA will not pursue other party who admitted fault but will not provide insurance. Asked me to! No rental. Paid to fix vehicle OOP. Why do I pay for insurance? Over promising, Under delivering, Poor service and Denying claims is better for greedy corporate profits. Done with these crooks.....looking for replacement ASAP.
Absolute garbage bank. Can't update their website for accurate hours of operation, won't work with members, disrespectful to veterans who've been USAA members for DECADES! I will encourage every vet I ever meet to never get a bank account with them. Straight trash
