I had went in to get my first aid/cpr certification. A guy named Craig helped me out. he was really helpful and explained really well all the questions I asked to make sure I understood everything that I needed to know.
I recommend American trading academy! Prolific company that's been around for a long time great prices, genuine and knowledgeable staff there to help you with any certification pertaining to security.

Told by young receptionist that I can't requal because I didn't qual the first time with them... I've qualed at several locations for as long as I've been holding my firearm permit being 8 years. It's simply a qual then sent to the bureau. I guess you just lost our business thanks to your unknowing staff

The worst place to go... Uneducated employees, nasty attitude and the boss himself have no respect. They spelled my name incorrectly then make a fight with me when i went back for a change of spelling. Unprofessional set of people.
A friend of mine told me about this company and I jumped on the opportunities switching jobs and being a nurse can be a tough situation when you get attached to your clients so it's Time for me to do something else and this was it I enjoy being able to help people

Simply follow what they say, and you'll get your guard card in no time. 1-stop shop for firearm permit and training with an introductory into weapons training. I'm said there wasn't a chicken joint nearby.

Iv'e been to other security companies, but after a short while i would soon see myself with no work and being unemployed due to the lack of the work, or the company somehow went out of business. I stumbled across Access Security Training Center and was immediately employed. They seemed more professional and handed my time more seriously. The training was done professionally at their own company, and made sure I knew what I needed to know before my first deployment, I valued the services they've provided me. I would recommend others to see what they also can do for them. If you need more information, just ask for Craig.

I called first before going and craig answered the phone very professional; told me to come in and I was prepared after he mentioned the details about the training. I took the class and did my live scan for the state and right away in 2 weeks I received my guard card and right after craig directed me to a recruiter and I m now employed with a company! and it fits into my schedule so well! I m so glad that I walked in. This is definitely the place to go if you re looking to become certified in the security field. Extremely friendly atmosphere and Craig is a very Diligent & Humble man, he will help you and assist you with all your questions and concerns, I promise this is the place to get certified!

Still haven t received my guard card and it s been 7 months I call and they still want give me a legit answer on why I haven t received my card I done all the training and paid for everything
After being laid off from my previous profession I needed to get back to work immediately. A friend of mines told me about All Access Security on Crenshaw. I was amazed by how quickly I completed the training and was ready to go to work as a security Officer. The training was professionally administered in a professional environment. Unlike other companies that would take your money and boot you out the door. All Access own their own Security company and was able to quickly place me on an assignment working good hours with decent pay. Thank you All Access for making the difference.
Craig is the man to go to for all your security needs, I've done event staff with him. Then after that he recommended me for a full time position as a logistics officer. Been at my new job STEADY for 6 months. And its all thanks to him, he is a straight forward person and will help you with your needs.
Great spot to train with probably the best prices in town. Did my pepper spray and baton training here recently and it was easy. Received both certifications same day. Laminating machine was locked away so couldn't get them laminated there and the typewriter was locked in the main office and Craig (owner) was already gone for the day. Day after a holiday so I'm not gonna knock off any stars. Everything had to be written in. She (the receptionist/assistant) said I was welcome to come back to get everything typed and laminated next day but it's not a big deal. They are valid whether typed or not. I can get them laminated for a few cents each at Fed Ex or a dollar at Staples. Easy peasy.
Staff is also welcoming and friendly. Things can get a little slow at times, but not painfully slow. Mainly a lot going on and sometimes not enough staff to attend every need. Live Scan is what takes the longest because you have to wait for the people who do the live scanning to get there. Thankfully what I came for, didn't require any live scan or state fees. But at least I know what to expect when I come in for my FireArm processing whenever the time comes.
Pepper Spray and Baton cards do not expire as long as your guard card stays valid.
I'm happy because now I can start my new position next week! In less than a month, I will also be returning to do my firearm qualification since my job will require it. Again, cheapest prices I've seen with everything included. I think it's $371 for everything including the course, the range, gun rental, ammunition, live scan and state fees. Plus they train you for like 2 calibers; any additional calibers added on are like $20 each (I THINK; but check to make sure) which is great. Re-qual is $40 per caliber I believe.
Most other places are in the $500 to $700 range for everything included and only train you for maybe 3 different calibers. Classroom course is there onsite and is walk-in welcome on any day. Range day is every Wednesday. So no matter what day you start, jusy remember that range day is always the following Wednesday.
It is completely worth it to invest in your career as a security officer, ladies and gentlemen. Getting your guard card is half the battle, because at least you can get a nice steady job. But if you want to be able to make more money, upgrade and get more licenses. It's worth it. Even getting just your pepper spray and handcuff licenses can qualify you for better paying work. CPR/First Aid is also very inexpensive here, I believe it's $40 to get the card, and $30 to renew after that. Taser license only $100.
*Update I now have my firearm license as well. It took a little longer than it was supposed to but that is no fault of American Training Academy; it is the fault.of BSIS. My background check and everything went through, but somehow they overlooked my application and forgot to push it through and send the letter for the assessment. After a few phone calls to BSIS, I was finally able to get the ball rolling and I now have my firearm license in hand, laminated and all.

The training was ok but the issue i have was me receiving my guard card
its goin to be goin on almost two years and still have not received it
called bsis and they swear they sent it like two times then they said i would have to pay for another one when i never got the any guard card
I looked up my license number online and they had my name spelled wrong and my zip code was wrong as well still no guard card in my mail box i was so excited about becoming a security guard and still to this day i have no card smh i prefer you find a professional place to get your guard training and guard card.
