Very organized. I came from USA for visa and don't speak much Spanish. Some guards outside speak English very well. That helped. There is a small shop which also has lockers for 40 pesos. So, you can take an Uber to the consulate and leave your phone in the locker. Locals advised never to take a regular taxi.

The Monterrey Consulate for America sent us to an imaginary establishment in Acambaro, Guanajuato to retrieve a replacement passport. The Consulate says to go to Acambaro, so we went, but the address does not exist. Very bad.

I recommend you go in uber, take them or go in urban transport. You can not enter with any electronic device, coins, cigarettes, lighters, or anything metallic but they have a place where your belongings take care of you and charge you around 40 pesos; They will make several rows, which qualify for the visa is not safe.

To tell them not to take TAXIS, those who pass outside the consulate are extortionists, and they are threatened by those from the radio they bring, I got on one thinking it was a normal rate, I was going to the center of Monterrey and we still had not arrived when The taxi driver tells me he can pay me and I gave him a 100 ticket, he says that it is missing, they are 250, I was surprised by the amount, I told him it was a lot and the one on the radio started yelling at me "They are 250, madam is what is charged "and between them they said something about a hotel which scared me a lot, I brought 200 pesos and I gave it to them since I felt very scared, unfortunately I did not bring a cell phone to record or take a photo to the plates, but so that the same does not happen to them. There is something else behind this, they are dedicated to obstructing

Super friendly all employees. There is free parking, only the Mexican federal police officers check the car quickly. I recommend not wearing a belt to make the entry process faster. If you have a car, it is better to leave your cell phone and any electronic object since they do not let you enter with them. If you go in Uber or taxi you can rent a locker for 40 pesos. They can not leave you in front of the consulate. It is better that they leave you later in the nursery so as not to hinder the entry of the consulate since they have it all closed with cones.

The process is very fast, I took 30 minutes in total since I took my fingerprints and they asked me for the information. I went because my visa got lost and I took all the papers as if I were going to process a new visa. They did not ask me anything, just my passport and my DS-160. I had the complaint but he did not ask me. Carry the required papers in case they are requested. It is always better to carry more than they lack. I already had a previous visa of a lifetime so I think they saw my travel history and they gave it to me easier.

DO NOT TAKE THE TAXIS OUTSIDE. They cheat you and if you do not pay them they threaten you. I recommend you ask for your Uber in Soriana.

Remember not to be nervous. Everyone is very kind and any doubt helps you. They gave me the visa two days after my appointment. They give it to you or they do not give it to you always be friendly with them and there will be no problem.

Excellent treatment at the consulate. Be careful with the taxi drivers who pick people up, they picked me up and when we were already going at a moderate speed he began to insult me and that I had to give him 300 pesos for the kilometers traveled (it was 7km).

Very friendly and warm people at the US consulate. I don't speak Spanish and didn't face any challenge in navigating through. Every official at US consulate was very warm and every ready to help.
No Electronic item or bags are allowed in side the consulate. There is a small cafe outside the consulate, where you can keep your bag/mobile in the locker at 40 Pesos. So if want to take Uber to consulate , you can use mobile and keep the mobile in cafe locker.
I was with family and family is given priority at the entrance.

Hello, good afternoon. Someone could take me out of a doubt. I have requested 3 times my visa and I have been denied 3 times !! Someone could tell me how I can ask for an explanation. Why was I denied the last time I asked for my visa? I was so disappointed that I did not ask for explanations. I consider myself an economically self-sufficient person, without legal problems of any kind.

Excellent service but I want to prevent anyone who comes to this place, ... No, No, Never take TAXI from this place, the types are calculators, ask questions and if you go to any hotel, airport or bus station. Watch out. "It shows when you're not from here" so they say here.
Take taxi from hotels zone to consulate $ 140, on my departure take taxi back $ 774, ... what? That marks my machine, sir ... I am a civilized man with a bit of culture and wisdom so avoid quoting ...
Talking to people at the Hotel and other taxi drivers, they told me that this always happens to people who come from outside. Speechless.

Access is at 8:00 am. Sadly, the inept officers of the Spanish Civil Force as well as arrogant with their compatriots do not understand (or their brain does not give them reasoning) that one can arrive 10 or 15 minutes earlier. In a haughty and rude way they do not allow access or give explanations ... what a pity. They lost us before we entered.

Accompany my dad to his interview and everything went very well, that day there were many people processing the VISA, I did not have to go to this Consulate, I went when I was in downtown Monterrey that was more accessible by the parking I think , this is elegant and is newer therefore its facilities are very new modern, they are well organized, it took an approximate time for my dad to leave with the approved Visa, the only thing I did not like was that there was no parking I do not know if only that day or so always, we had to go to leave the car to Hipermat where we had a bad experience, but within what fits we had good experience in the new consulate.

Be patient for the security measures, remember that it is to safeguard the life and integrity of all, to expedite your process, only * bring the necessary documents *; entry with electronic devices, USB memory sticks, smart watch, any type of weapon, is prohibited. As for diaper bags, it is only allowed to enter with the formula and diapers necessary for the time inside the consulate.
