Pop up brunch spot in the courtyard serving the "Bodega Menu" was fantastic. Our server was great! He was very descriptive, helpful and just polite all around.

I ve been a couple times. The happy hour entire bar half price 4pm-8pm signs everywhere are a scam. I would recommend asking the price before each drink. Got my bill, and it was twice what I was expecting. I asked why, they said some of the entire bar isn t included in that special. Which I didn t understand. But anyways. It s a cool spot, cool rooftop, but beware of their prices and specials. I thought this was going to be a new cool local hangout, but it s more for the tourists it seems.

Over priced and why is theTV's are on with no close-caption on and the music is blasting the same time?

Friends and I came here after a long day of traveling to have a drink to celebrate arriving in Charleston as a quick nightcap.
I'm a very easy-going person, but this place left my friends and I more than a little upset after less than 45 minutes here. Avoid if possible.

Fun bar, good food, great place to watch games during the day and also great place to go out at night

The wings are My wife and daughter (7yo) stopped in on the best night for dinner. Monday night ment no line, and quick service! Our wings, which are smoked then flash fried were awesome! The skin was crispy and the meat was tender and smokey. Daniel (head of security) made the recommendation for warm bacon honey mustard, and he was ABSOLUTELY right to make that recommendation! We had the truffle fries (huge portion and well balanced with flavor) and of course we had cinnamon dough bites. The cinnamon dough bites are a MUST try item! The sauce is very full of flavor and they come in a small cast iron pan full of it the bathrooms were very clean, the staff was very friendly and the food came to our table very fast (especially for wings!) They bake their own bread, hand select ingredients, and put lots of effort into the place, they deserve all 25 points on all 5 of the stars!!!

Cool new spot. Fun atmosphere, great service from all. Bailey was especially great. Sports and playoffs on big TVs with cool music jamming. The food is solid too.

Great drinks and hummus! Had a great experience this time!

It s pretty bad on weekend. It s literally where all the UNDERAGE college kids go. Always packed and always dirty. During the week it s not so bad it s way cleaner and less crowded with a mixed crowd but if you don t like a super young obnoxious crowded bar with constant fights don t go on the weekends.

Was in town for work and my coworkers and I popped in and had a blast. Decent crowd mixture and music. Will be coming back next time I'm in town

Wow! Fancy sports bar type situation. They have a lot of space upstairs and downstairs. Great place to watch the game. Just had drinks and a burger. I would recommend it. It is one of the better ones in town.

My husband and I ate here Monday and we really loved the food. We got the pizza and wine special and he loaded fries. Everything was great and it definitely lived up to the hype. I Definitely recommend this place.

Excellent service. Brunch was delicious! Be sure to get the cookies and cream pancakes... you will not be disappointed! I also love that they offer half carafes of bellinis and mimosas.

Great place for a reasonable drink downtown. Huge and showing any sporting contest you desire. Food was terrific as was the bartender.

Lots of good happy hour specials. Large party and they took great care of us Water served in a big glass bottle was unique. Red cup cocktails a great idea

Terrible customer service. Wish I could have given them a zero. They did not care to serve us at all. Take your business somewhere else.

The atmosphere and service was very good. The food was terrible. Pepperoni pizza undercooked. You couldn t pick up a piece of pizza because all the toppings would fall off. Garlic Parmesan rub wings were awful. They tasted like the chicken was bad. I returned them and they did credit my bill. It may be a great bar but don t eat there for the food. I am a local and would never recommend Uptown Social as a place to eat.

Very Slow service, over billed us, had to wait for bill to get corrected, exspensive food, when I asked about drink prices I was told a price and then charged 5-6$ more than said price. Fun atmosphere but will not be going back. Was there start to finish over 3 hours.

Great place...but super loud!! Not a place to watch Texas play with your parents....drunks falling on top of your table and music BLARRING

The Barkeeper made our drinks half full. We already payed for them. We asked friendly (and I mean friendly) why our drinks are half full. He said because we wanted them without ice. Then I told him that it is not normal to serve a half drink. He gets angry and made stupid comments. After it he told security to kick us out. I am not sure what was wrong with this guy, but that its a really bad behaviour. Club was empty and they kick paying customers out......strange.....never had that before and I was in different countries in a lot of clubs.

Excellent happy hour from 4 to 8. Half off all cocktails. Right across the street from the Hyatt House.

Being a sports bar, like many others, you might not expect too much ... But it's a mistake!
The place is amazing, the service is excellent and the drinks bar is very good.
The food is varied, there are pizza, hamburgers, typical bar dishes.

I would go back a thousand times.

Terrible experience last night. I was hoping for a chill dinner on a Wednesday night with my friends. Instead, the DJ was blasting music so obnoxiously loud that I can barely carry a conversation with the people at my table. We waited forever for our food and the food wasn't even good. The waitress never once offer to refill my water cup. She was no where to be found in fact. When the checks came out, they were completely wrong. I didn't even bother asking the waitress to fix mine because I'd probably have to wait another 30 minutes so I ended up paying for more than what I ordered. Unreal...

One of my favorite spots to start the weekend! Drinks are great, atmosphere is fun and filled with energy! Music and DJs always on point!

Attracts a very trendy crowd with a bar scene that's a lot of fun but the service is often sub par with drink prices that are very expensive.

Worst place I ve ever been to. Unfortunately unable to give it 0 stars. Bouncers were on a power trip. I was just trying to have a nice night with my parents and my sister Kevina who was visiting from across the country, and they ruined our whole night! The place was deserted, and they were giving us a hard time about getting in, taking forever and ignoring us at times, and were down right nasty. So much for holiday spirit. They made Kevina cry... Steer clear of this sad and pitiful place! Full of Scrooges.

Great nightlife spot with multiple DJ s on different floors. Rooftop is pretty big as well.

Ignored from the moment we walked in. Didn t even get a jug of water, after witnessing others who came after us get served.

I seem to have a different date everytime I come here. This is a very cool bar, they have 2 floors and a dance floor on both the top and the bottom and a bar on both floors. I met one of the owners he seems very passionate about this business and very knowledgeable about bars in general. I would recommend Uptown Social to anyone visiting to Charleston area.

Just a side note I only come here at night during the weekends I have yet to try their food menu.

Place is beautiful, but that is the highlight of this place. Service was horrible. Same as other guy. Could not find waiter no refill on water, the 8oz glass they give you. Drinks were wrong. Bill was wrong. Can get the same mediaoca food for half the price elsewhere. Really wanted to like this place. Was excited to hear it was a New York style pizza. It is not. The manager even told us it's more a New Jersey style pizza. What is that ?

Great place to enjoy music, dance, and drinks. Had 2 bars upstairs and a huge main bar downstairs.

Poor service and average food. After coming in nobody told us there is a reservation necessary. After 15 min not to be served we aseked several servers to get us some food bit they didn't react. The first server who reacted on us told us we can't sit there because this table is reserved. At our last time it took the serevers also long time to react on us. So we decided not to visit a place where we might be not welcome anymore. Also the food is nothing really special.

Nice size place, lots of TVs and good service. They start dancing at 10 pm so get your sports in early.

Food is solid, but the water lines are most likely contaminated with mold or something bc the tap water tastes very sweet, and the problem has only gotten worse over the last year. So in reality, any food they prepare with their water (which I assume is most bc of the fried breading and dough) is probably hazardous to your health. Before you eat here, ask for a glass of tap water, drink a sip, and you will probably leave. It is beyond funky

Authentic NY style spots bar with a great after dark club scene and rooftop experience. The staff door a great job with the large crowds and the bartenders look as though they are having fun. The doorman, Luke, was very helpful and professional.

Tasty burger, nice selection of beers, fast and friendly service. Very nice atmosphere created by beautiful wooden tables, old style railings and all very clean and comfortable.

Food was amazing. I may be an alcoholic but 4 Irish mules should have at least given me a buzz

Great service, but menu is deceiving. The price on the menu is $12 for a build your own pizza, up to three toppings. However the very fine print says it cost $3 per topping. The print was so fine the waitress could not find the extra pricing. So the $12 pie turned into $22. Not worth it.

Uptown Social was a great place to eat. I ordered 6 Garlic Parmesan wings, 6 Buttermilk Ranch wings, and Loaded Fries. The food was so delicious. Those loaded fries were awesome. The staff was friendly and provided great service. I will DEFINITELY eat here again during my next visit to Charleston, SC.

We had the Macdougal pizza and chicken nachos. Excellent!

Have been two nights in a row with a group of six. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food was simple, well portioned and tasty. Happy hour drink prices could not be beat.

Service slow, BUT we had a large party so they get a bit of a gimme on timeliness. My wife and I ordered parm and truffle fries to go with our wings. The fries came out in a timely fashion, but they forgot our wings and we didn t get them until 40 min later.
Quality of food......the fries were pretty warm, but it was obvious they had been done for a bit. When our wings came the were really gross. I ve never used that word in a review, but it is appropriate in this case.
I do want to stress the staff was very friendly and attentive. They are probably just stretched thin. Drinks were also good. Atmosphere was fun and entertaining.

Terrible service. Sent me through 3 different people to put a football game on 1 TV out of 30 and it was never put on. Then told us our food wasn t ready when it was sitting at the end of the bar getting cold.

Great place to dance and throw back a few with the squad. Bar was easy to get access to unless you were looking for a mixed drink, that could take you a good bit. Clientele can be uppity but hey, it's Charleston.

Went for happy hour at 5:30 and the upstairs bar wasn't set up. Bartender said it'd be 20 minutes before they'd be servicing so I went downstairs. I ordered two cocktails at the downstairs bar but the bartender said they had to turn over some of their mixers. After 15 minutes of waiting and no word from the bartender after trying to get his attention, I left and went back to the upstairs bar. Ordered the same cocktails for their $3 happy hour solo-cup special and they didn't even have the solo cups upstairs...

Walked back downstairs and got a table to order food. My spouse ordered a cocktail and the waiter came back 10 minutes later to say they were STILL turning over their mixers (roughly one hour after I had first attempted to order the same drink downstairs). She decides to wait it out. 20 minutes later, the waiter decides to finally let us know they were OUT of the mixer she wanted. Why that took almost an hour and a half to determine, I have no idea.

Service was slow and the bartending was lackluster. Would've been okay if the place was packed but it wasn't even close. If you're looking for a good happy hour spot DT, this is NOT the place.

My husband and I were looking for somewhere to grab a bit to eat during the hurricane. We came upon Uptown Social, fun atmosphere, and the food was great!

Good food and delicious drinks with very upbeat vibes

Bouncer was extremely rude. Stood in line the whole time and once I got to the front I dropped my ID outside of the ropes, stepped over to grab it, stepped back in then he yelled at me to get back in the line even after I calmly told him what happened he proceeded to yell and make me exit the line to go to the back. Even people in the line who I didn t know told him what happened. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Overpriced. Wish I could leave 0 stars.

extremely fun nightlife, decently priced drinks,lots of dancing and awesome music. Friday night was a lot of 90s music which was great for the millennial crowd. Saturday night was mostly techno and dubstep music but still a fun time. lots of young, energetic and rowdy people.

The slushies are actually really good & the rooftop is so much fun. Friendly bartenders.

This is the premier party spot in downtown, multiple levels and multiple DJs with a large rooftop and plenty of room to dance. The staff has always been great and the door guy, Tanner, was very helpful with the large group.

Favorite bar downtown, drinks are pricey but good vibes and music come with them. There is an upstairs open on the weekends

It is unfortunate I have to write this review because I am a local who has been to uptown a multitude of times and have had great experiences. However, my most recent visit I was denied access for being a male that had a very minor one inch hole in the knee areas of my jeans (mind you this is the style of the created jeans). I also have wore these jeans or a similar style here countless times and have never had an issue. The bouncer seemed power driven and made very outlandish rude comments about it to me as well. Females are also allowed to enter with any style of jean. Sorta unfortunate to see these types of views in 2020 with all the different styles and fashion available to both male and females. Hopefully this is an isolated event

Great place to hang out during the day. Night time gets really crowded at times but if that's your thing then you'll love it. Happy hour is great there.

We were there yesterday to see the Fotball game.
When I paid for my beer, the waitress at the bar did not give me a receipt, even on demand.
This morning I see my card for 2 Corona was charged $ 30.

the bouncer was incredibly rude. my friend group arrived at 8:30 for food and got turned away even though I specifically called to make sure they didn t start carding until 9pm. The bouncer literally stood over me and told me that I was not allowed through the door without a parent. I am 20 years old and an extremely offended that anyone would speak to me in such a manner.
