It s a nice app to make moving easy and organized, but I tried To sign up for internet service through this app and it never went through. I made An installation appointment and received a confirmation, but when the appointment date came, no one showed up and the internet company said my account wasn t on file. Not sure what the issue was, but caused unnecessary stress.
The building I live in recommend this company for moving and internet setup. I follow the instructions on the website of Updater and got a useless reference code for internet installation and be told to call the number to get the service. However, I called them and the representative is not helpful at all, kept letting me wait online for their system glitch . After all the 30 mins wait they hung me up and left an order that has been confirmed. I called back later in the afternoon twice to check if the internet installation was confirmed, and they just told me someone will call me back and of course I never heard from them.
Totally a waste of time, if you need an internet service, don t expect them to help you at all.
Go to Verizon or Spectrum will save your time.
Pretty easy set up and I was finished with everything I needed in about an hour. I had a few questions about the mail forwarding piece but customer service helped me out pretty quickly.
Don't use it. It's very expensive. Compare how much these guys will try to charge you for booking internet services with them. They offer horrible prices compared to going directly to the service providers. They are useless.
Moving is hard and Updater made it so much easier. It's a really smart and efficient way to take control of your move!
Unfortunately myself and my clientele have found updater nothing but an annoyance and it's too hard to easily be ported into their program by default and too difficult to unsubscribe or get off their platform.
I sell almost exclusively vacant lots and development projects. My clients feel that my company or myself has now sold their data or signed them up for what is clearly not valuable or useful at all to them and would be junk/spam.
I was recommended this app through the complex my parents are moving to help set them up. My first task was to get them connected to internet & representative put me on hold so he can do research on best deals and after all the research he did he came back & told me there is no internet providers in the complex my parents are moving. He got upset when I told him he was wrong, so he told me to take a look myself. So I did, few minutes later I was confirmed with Optimum. Maybe this app would be decent if representatives actually were able to help & so called completed tasks actually went through the app.
Total Scam
I got an email from them saying my relator had signed me up for a premium account. Except my relator didn't. And as other people said, they charge outrageous prices for stuff you can easily do yourself. Total and complete scam.
