The best university in Australia, especially for engineering. Very recommended.
One of the best in the World, great Students and Lectures
It s a good uni to have a degree from, as it has a good international reputation.
Unfortunately there isn t an insistence on quality educational experience or cultivating the best intellectual talent.
Standards for entry for local students are far above that for international students who cannot understand the lecture material, which greatly affects the quality of humanities subjects in particular.
Looks great as a campus, but is a nightmare when it rains and public transport is a mess.
If you get good tutors you get your moneys worth, however this is not a certainty.
Undergrad student admin services are awful and outdated, rife with mistakes.
Lots of extra cuticular activities to do and really great people to meet. Plenty of academic special events throughout the year.
Overall had a good experience as an undergrad but you put up with a lot of inconvenience and poor teaching along the way.
Love the environment, but it is such a long way to run between campuses in between classes, and limited parking is available for masters and phd only with time limit. Old fashioned but beautiful!
University is perfect but thought I would meet international students and get international experience before I came here. Now this place is like biggest china town in Australia. The only language I hear in all of my classes is Chinese except from lecturer. It s very hard for me to make friends. I'm doing Master. During tutorial classes, some Chinese tutors walk to Chinese students tables and TEACH IN CHINESE !!!!!!
University lecturer and university demonstrator do not understand 9 out of 10 tables are all chinese students and how frustrating it is for other students to learn in Mandarin speaking class rooms
Many amazing hardworking intelligent people. But unfortunately the University puts profits far above educational outcomes.
Overall good University experience. Engineering faculty is current and has high quality of teaching staff.
Lots of activities for the non-scientific population too
It was awe inspiring to study in UNSW. Being an international student in UNSW was a new experience to me with great teaching skills and the great library which helped me to work with assignments and referencing. Totally there is no substitute for UNSW
Have spent two years here, and it's time to say goodbye to this lovely place. I still remember what the dean had said in the opening ceremony. We are one of the top fifty universities in the world. Thank you, UNSW.
One of the best university in the world. The best in Australia.
All the annoying classmates in high school go to this uni.Excellent.
Beautiful campus with lots of eateries and world class facilities.
Even TAFE has a better Moodle page. This uni is still stuck in the 2000s.
This school is making ludicrous amounts of money from its huge numbers of international students, and they have the nerve to call their alumni asking for donations. Feigning interests in what they are currently doing as a form of back entry to ask for money is low.
Campus life and student life are amazing! However location is terrible and transport there is atrocious in the mornings. Recommend every student to do afternoon or night classes - cause with the 9/10am classes you ll be late for sure.
Top uni.... went there for 8yrs, bachelor of engineering, and PhD too.. total the best engineering degree, now with lots of food outlets too.
It's ever changing and very modern look.
Go there for your degree and you will get a good job!!
Great University, especially caters to Engineering degrees
Will consider going for some advice, great reviews.
Love the university.. Loved everything, went to every open day even attended the unsw conference... But seems like I won't be able to get in the uni afterall :(
The moment you step into this place, you get the sense and feels of it being an innovative place.
A place with a stunning main walkway with different school buildings either side of it
The campus is divided into lower and upper campus and access to all parts of the campus is fairly easy.
A very reputed college in Australia, with it being 6th in the Group of Eight Universities in Australia.
Great connectivity to the city , with light rails available at both ends of the campus and frequent buses all around.
Friendly people, friendly staff, overall a friendly vibe.
A tad bit heavy on your pockets, but the effects of that heavy cost models are seen in the infrastructure, the facilities and the level of teaching.
Both coursework and research is highly recommended
The only thing off according to me might be the Trimesters that have been started.
This adds unnecessary load and tensions on the students.
Overall A really good university.
It's better to spend your money somewhere else instead of this Uni. The School fees are ridiculous compare to what you gonna receive/gain in return. Unprofessional staffs are everywhere, you could even meet some racist staffs or students, not a friendly place to study and it's a boring campus. Too many international students especially from China and Indonesia makes you feel like you are not in Australia, they are renting and staying nearby as well so don't be surprise to see Asians dominance around the campus, and it would be better off if you could speak Indonesian and Chinese cause there are heaps of offers in those language unless you're living somewhere else and just come to the campus for studying.
Beaches and the natural environment in Australia is not that nice as well.
internet safety expert pro. Greg Austin = spy of china, he defend china and say china wont affect the election in Aus
Given how the country funds universities nationwide, it seems evident that UNSW, and among other universities, suffer tight budget for further academic researches and the enhancement of teachings.
In a nutshell, their main source of revenue is primarily from international students, and they are being treated as cash cows. The influx of oversea students cramming the classrooms really upset teaching as well as learning.
Regardless of that, I still see UNSW pushes the momentum to enhance the quality of education.
The university with the largest Engineering choices in NSW.
Worked here for a few years in the late noughties. Great campus, fantastic staff, incredible facilities.
Excellent university with great opportunities run by studentso societies and faculty.
Attended Sept 2017 Open Day - good looking facilities and wide ranges of courses available
Overrated University. I had same experience from top to bottom staff of UNSW. Will never recommend to study there. They think they are KING and above law.
Nice campus with lots of leafy and green areas, a couple of decent food courts and a beautiful walkway!
Food is delicious! Quadrangle food court has so many different things to eat. The burgers are great at the unibar. There's also the Whitehouse where there is some more fancy stuff. Even more things in upper campus that I have yet to try!
Heard alot about the university..wishing to join soon
Fantastic university and campus. I went here on exchange and experienced such a great community and quality of education and motivated students.
Nice campus for a tight location, decent facilities and a hit and miss staff. Its become the new China town with their international acceptance rates going 1500+ every term. Try playing spot the non-Asian; while you're waiting in the extremely long queues for public transport to the city.
taught me that jet fuel can melt steel beams yor'e wrong kiddo
UNSW is awesome. If you're looking to join UNSW be sure to join Arc to receive all the latest and greatest offers the Uni has to offer. It's free to join and you get about $30 worth of vouchers which is pretty awesome. You also get other random stuff like a massive wall calender to help you organise yourself as you journey through University. Be sure to attend at least one of the Uni parties, I would say October Fest but it got cancelled =(
Love UNSW. Great campus, extracurriculars and student life
Awful university. Fast becoming a left wing cesspit full of "safe space" political correct nonsense.
University Machine Broke due to incompetence. Understandable, have a nice day.
UNSW Australia, a powerhouse of cutting-edge research & teaching in the Asia-Pacific. We're trusted partners with industry, government and the community
Spending two years at UNSW has really grown me out of my comfort zone. The most challenging here is to manage time for the heavy coursework load and make friends. The uni should really put more effort into improve international students life since we are usually isolated and the fact is that the gap of culture is really huge in Australia. In addition, UNSW should really improve quality of teaching.
Education is not an industry!!! a country lose hope! when it treats education as an industry
I love this uni
I want to study in this uni
I am indian but I love australia
One of the best universities in Australia. The quality is amazing, the people are fun, helpful and engaging and the atmosphere is always enjoyable. Come and have a good time... Every time!
Some lecturers teach really badly and the uni charges for tremendous tuition fee for international students
amazing university, especially for engineering students
I went in to this University, A very nice place to sharpen up your mind whilst maintaining a friendly and social community, Lovely place just to stroll around when you dont have classes as well
Many newbies, such excellency, very geek.
I am TheBrightLord, and this is my favourite University in town.
Be warned if you are applying for a research position at the Faculty of Social Sciences, they will steal information from our CV and then re advertise the position with information by association from your
CV. They did not know what QSR NVivo.v10 was!, it is in fact the latest version for qualitative research. software ....and they call themselves a centre of excellence?
Staff are great. Everyday is leg day aswell which is good
They are wondering why high drop out rate. Check your far left ideology, frothing leftards, lesbianazi, and feminazi address this watch the improvement
It's really good but just doesn't deserve that fifth star.
I just marked on the basis of googling this university as I covered up all my information about the study pattern and environment of this university. I hope that I would be selected for my willing programme.
University of New South Wales is a great university where you can find hundreds of undergraduate curse. I will study there if I pass in a test which I will do in February. Furthermore, in this university you can meet a lot of people and make new friends while you study. Besides, This university is very close to the beach, what means that you can live close to the university and the beach. pefect
I met Dr John Kasinathan in 2013, he is/was a Conjoint Lecturer at UNSW and I am afaid to say but he could not find domestic abuse of a man because Dr John Kasinathan makes sure to take into account 3rd and 4th hand information rather then watching a videos of 'domestic abuse', 'night after home invasion 1', 'gay-bashing', 'home invasion 2' or actually accepting any verbal report of the domestic abuse I was forced to live with at that very low point in my life (anytime after 2002 where my right to have even the most basic of things like a shower would result in myself being subjected to physical assault and mental abuse by family members. This delusional Dr has even gone as far to comment upon my appearance even though I had never met him in 2002. According to this Dr my appearance to him in 2002 was a result of myself not taking care of my hair, hygiene, etc and not any domestic abuse of which he made sure to never use those words in his report).
This Dr is willing to engage in a form of fee-sharing where he accepts incomplete and incorrect information as fact and he will make sure to not enquire as to its validity before returning a finding that was requested by a peer whom he could not refuse as repercussions may of been great (400k research grant was awarded after the 'gay bashing' video became 'harassment' according the files that Dr John Kasinathan used as fact).
This uni shows one public face but behind the side-show they have fellows running around under the request of old men that originated from countries where fixing the unwilling to arranged/forced marriages, fixing lgbtqi's and fixing criminals perhaps within a CAST society with chemical medications only was widely accepted. PS: if B/W photos from periods of time where abuse I describe above adorn the walls of persons whom request reports from this Dr John Kasinathan then you are dealing and speaking with what can be best termed as a fraud or at the very least a danger to anyone who is unfortunate enough to be 'reviewed by his delusion that is constructed from text only information that is upon record which was entered by persons whom were training to gain qualification and of which for some reason this status of training isnt noted in the file - however this doesnt matter to the Dr and he will not double check information to a suitable standard before he makes only a diagnosis (forget about prognosis as his intent is to harm)'. ECG's of abnormal result will be neglected along with other serious health conditions as according to the file which is incorrect - im 100% fit and healthy (pity about that lung ACT Health damaged, anyone know what that is worth?)
According to another from the ANU this Dr John Kasinathan is a Internet Expert on everything (SEO, connectivity, analitics, and everything else on IT that you could ever think about - so much an expert his time spent being a Dr at medicine is moonlighting his considerable knowledge base and life experience of a classroom between field trips to fix the 'undesired' by generating literary works of fiction).
This man will lie - he will ask questions and pretend he is sorry but isnt at all - and eye contact with him when he lies is very difficult. He told me he is only filling out the paper work he had there with him on the one ocasion but really he is making a multi-page report based upon false information supplied by others whom were not trained on how to record the correct information or record their level of education. According to my file he reviewed I have been convicted of two criminal offences - these two criminal offences of which I have never seen a court in regards to the claims or even a police officer however that information was used by him to incite others to become aggressive towards myself and causing great amount of distress and possibly effecting my future health needs.
Very lovely atmosphere to study and great resources
I have great memories here and got many lovely friends!
Very unfriendly school envrionment. Iresponsible teacher pretend to teach, Halfwitted student pretend to listen.
One of the best universities in Australia. The campus has become even greener and more beautiful due to limited number of students visiting it under Covid situation.
