Really nice place to eat and hang out. There is a game room, plenty of restaurants, student services, and a Starbucks just on the first floor. I love sitting outside when the weather is not too hot.

I used to work here so I'm biased. chill place with good food options. perfect place to socialize and many events happen on the second floor. can get a bit loud when busy so check out the library if you're tryna study. check the info desk if you have any questions. also they got free scantrons there so stock up before a big test ya nerd

This is a great spot to hang out on campus for students, staff, and guests alike. Plenty comfortable seating available with charging ports, dining tables, options to eat (though I'd opt to go eat just off campus or at Rebel Grounds), lounges for the students to nap in, a convenience store, spots to study, conference rooms and ballrooms etc.

The student union has it all and is one of the best places to relax and hang out with friends.

Good place to meet up, a lot of options for food. The one thing that could be considered a "downside" is that there's some people, presumably homeless, that sleep on the chairs or in the booths, mainly on the second floor. I mean, some might not be homeless. Some are probably students that *look* homeless. Okay, look--the point is, there's people that sleep on the second floor. If that bothers you, just don't go on the second floor.

I've been to this building many times for my sorority meetings. It is easy to access and is always clean. The staff are very helpful if you need assistance. There is a food court with several selections of cuisines.

The UNLV student union added a steak and shake which is cool but honestly in terms of eats, there are better options around campus.. *cough In N Out.

The second floor is underrated. Less crowded and a good place to do work or study with some headphones in. There are bathrooms located on both floors of the SU, but the bottom one was closed when I went.

Almost everyone who works here is a university student so they're all super friendly and give great service. It has an arcade, and lots of quiet places to study upstairs. It's also just a fun and affordable place to hang out with your friends.

UNLV is an open campus. This means, with few exceptions, the Las Vegas community is welcome to visit the campus anytime, including having access to some of the same facilities as the students. These include the Lied Library (a Nevada ID is all that is required for a library card), the Law Library, the Student Recreation Center (UNLV's gym, which for $25 a month, the indoor pool, climbing wall, cardio machines and weights as well as the locker room and showers can be fully enjoyed by anyone in our community), and the Student Union (a place to go and enjoy a cup of coffee at Starbucks, or a bite to eat from Panda Express, Taco Bell, Steak & Shake, or Sushi Burrito, or where you can simply relax and decompress from the rigors of the day).

Sadly, the Student Union's current management team doesn't understand the term community or open campus, as demonstrated by their enforcement of rules targeting the elderly and less fortunate of our Las Vegas community, who use the Student Union to relax as well, hoping to find a small respite from their normally stressful lives. Management at the Student Union has taken it upon themselves to create two sets of rules, one for UNLV students and the other for our community's most vulnerable; the old, the physically or mentally challenged, and the homeless. For example, if a student were to fall asleep in the Student Union nothing would happen, it s a common occurrence, as the Student Union was built to create a relaxing environment where one can go and forget about an upcoming test (a game room is even included to help in this process). However, if any of the aforementioned of our community fall asleep, the campus police is immediately called, and the individual is trespassed from UNLV for an entire year.

BANNED FROM UNLV FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR.

I personally overheard a campus police officer literally begging a staff member to allow him to ask the person in question to just leave for the day instead, arguing that he knew this person, and even vouching for their character, arguing that having to enforce this type of punitive punishment was heavy handed and unnecessary. Unfortunately, management insisted that the officer remove this undesirable anyway, commenting to another staff member, that's one more we got rid of". The officer had no choice but to trespass the individual for an entire year, but to his credit he made it clear...
What they were doing wasn't right.

To UNLV's credit, this elitist snobbery seems to be isolated just to the management staff of the Student Union and in no way represents, what is an otherwise very diverse, socially conscious University. It's simply a case of one bad apple...

If your looking for the place to get your Covid-19 vaccine shot this is the building. Turn into Harmon to the UNLV parking lot. At the parking lot make a left hand turn and follow the sign to the Covid-19 parking area. Immediately in the building there a help desk for the vacinne.

Graduated in 2006, came by for the Baby Rebel Study and wanted to check out the food at the union, which was once called MSU...Steak and Shake is far one of the best burger and fries fast food restaurant. And love the accommodation of having a high chair available for babies. Outlets are on the counters for laptops and cellphone chargers. Love the water hydration spot...

It's a nice place to hang out. I do wish that the SU was bigger and had more food options and places to sit . As big of a school UNLV is, the SU does not sufficiently have enough space for everyone who goes in there.

It's a nice place to hang out but I wish the chairs up inside the computer room weren't so worn. A majority are broken. Also be careful because some places are cheaper in other areas (excluding coupons, student union does not accept coupons at all nor gift cards). Panda Express is cheaper inside than most in the Valley. Subway is still the same price but you might as well go to another store and use a coupon. Taco Bell is pricey on certain things

All food is overpriced, and not enough tables and chairs for people to sit and relax. And some workers are hella loud and annoying for no reason. And they constantly remove the student seating and only leave the tables and chairs for staff only.

Kind staff, good food options (subway, sushi burrito, steak n shake, panda express and more), nice clean areas to sit. There is also a US bank and a Starbucks! A very convenient place for unlv students.

Large cafeteria with lots of fast food and healthy options. US Bank has a branch here. There's at least 2 ATMs. Second and third floor has some offices and rooms for events and such. There's also a courier service available.

The manager at Starbucks is incompetent. Whenever he's there, either my order is wrong or the drink is poorly assembled (like way too much ice so I cant even put the straw in).
He's also really rude. Never any smile, pays no attention to customers, and is often impatient with them.
Everything else is fine though.
