I wish the prices were lower. We ended up having to spend a lot more after we brought our baby home, because he was infested with tapeworms and giardia. We're having to treat not only him, but our other dogs too. They "offer" a free puppy package (for up to 14 days), which sounds great, but the care center does not answer their phone. By the time they call back, the offer was almost expired. We ended up going to our local vet. Needless to say this has turned out to be quite expensive. Fortunately he's healthy otherwise. And fortunately we already love him. Not that it matters, because they do not have a friendly return policy. If you find a pet that you absolutely know would be a great addition to your home, i say go for it. Just realize what you're getting into before you go.

Wonderful rescue, all of the employees & volunteers are great. They care for the animals so much and really go above & beyond to make them feel loved. We ve adopted & fostered for them & if you re able to open up your heart & home to a wonderful pup this is a great place.

I have adopted 2 amazing dogs from here several years apart, and each time the staff was professional and helpful, and the dogs were well taken care of. They even stayed open late for us so that we could take our dog home that day after she was spayed. I always refer people to Unleashed because they really care about their animals!

The people at this organization work so incredibly hard and say yes to saving as many animals as they can! Not every organization does but they make it work because they have a true passion behind their mission of saving as many lives as possible and finding each animal a loving and safe home. They are always on the side of the animal and I admire them for it. They take on cases that other organizations would give up on and truly give everything their all! It s clear that this shelter has a made a huge impression on the area because they rely heavily on their large foster base so they can continue to make room for animals in need. The fact that they have been able to build such an amazing foster community to save lives speaks volumes about the difference this organization is making in many innocent lives that otherwise would have been lost.

At times when you walk in you might feel a sense of the chaos of a rescue environment. At these times I pray people think of the animals and show understanding/patience/kindness/admiration in their hearts because overall the impact/sacrifice these people are making is incredible.

I ve been following this organization for years. I ve slowly started to get a behind the scenes look and I can tell you they deserve an astounding amount of respect.

Professional staff. Very clean. I filled out adoption papers on site for the dog I was interested in. They brought the dog into a private room for us to meet. They left us alone to visit for awhile. Well, it was love at first site for both of us. We said good by to everyone and left. This has been a very Happy ending for me and my adopted dog. Thanks so much Unleashed.

Went here to find a cat for my dog. Didn t think I d find anything in my first visit but I was pleasantly surprised to meet and take home Zena. A 9 year old girl who within 24 hours has bonded and snuggling in bed together. The staff were very nice and helpful in choosing the right cat. Zena (now known as Zena Patches Bobrow) is in great condition and in good spirits so it s safe to say she won t be backing.

I have been a volunteer at Unleashed Pet Rescue for a little over 6 months now and I don't think there is a single bad thing I could say about them. They are one of the only no-kill shelters that takes in all the dogs that get overlooked because they wouldn't be easily adopted out or because the pets medical bills would be way too expensive. There have been so many circumstances where other shelters step into an area to save animals, which is great, but what they don't tell you about is the animals that are left behind. They will literally leave dogs and cats there to DIE because they don't have space or they aren't purebred or they aren't puppies, but Unleashed would never. They get there after all the other shelters have taken the puppies and purebreds to take the sick animals that may not be as easy to get adopted out, because they can truly save them all. Yes, they may not always be the quickest at the front desk, or have the poodle mix you want at the point, which do come around a lot more than you think, but they are genuinely trying their best to make the world a better place. Every day they save pets from domestic abuse situations, to living as strays that are starved and close to their death, to aggressive dogs that have had it rough. It doesn't matter the situation because there are things that led that pet to be that way, and most of the time it isn't so bright. They just need some time and love. Unleashed Pet Rescue gives those pets a chance to live their absolute BEST lives, but they can't do that without constant donations and support from you!! Amazing place. The amount of animals they rescue from kill shelters and hoarders is just breathtaking. My own baby would have been killed if Unleashed hadn t stepped in and rescued her mama and litter mates. They have an amazing foster system and lots of support. The community is so much better because of them.

This place is nitty gritty and 100% about the animals and I love it. You really feel like all donations and funds are actually going to save animals, not to some persons title or ego. We adopted our fur child, chief from here and I m so glad we did. They did a great job pairing us with our pet and they are LEGENDARY, at taking dog photos.

Was able to walk in and meet a couple dogs right away. No lomg wait or weird paperwork process just to even see them. They were great. Unfortunately they're adoption fees are double what you would pay at the kc pet project or elsewhere but the process seemed painless if you can afford it.
