The University of Alberta is one of the leading public education institutes in Canada and North America. It includes 18 academic colleges offering 200 undergraduate programs (intermediate university and baccalaureate degrees) and 170 postgraduate programs (MA and PhD). The University of Alberta is a research academy university in Edmonton, in the Canadian province of Alberta and is government subsidized. It was founded by Prime Minister of Alberta Alexander Alexander Cameron Rutherford and its first ruler Henry Marshall Torre in 1908.

One of the best Universities not only in Canada but in the whole World.

Best university ever! I just did not like the compulsory food plan at Lister Center

Beautiful campus, world-class facility. It's the best educational institution in the province, and is currently ranked about 94th in the world, which is phenomenal when you consider that the world has over 22,000 universities. The campus population is about 30,000. Upgrades to the campus have been well done, but the old Lister Hall residences still need to be overhauled in order to be bearable. The English department is just as wonky as ever, but the U of A is holding its own over the decades. A degree you can be proud of.

Cold and depressing as an international student. Bullied and ignored. For them it's just a business. Only your money matters.

A world class research university with excellent facilities!

It's a hospital... Nurses were so nice and as a transwoman they didn't misgender me at all. The surgeons were amazing and understanding and helped with my anxiety.

Wow they really renovated a lot here !! The campus is simply stunning and the facilities are amazing. Wish i could go back to school here and re-live my engineering degree... just kidding.

Waiting 7 hours in an over crowded emergency waiting room during a pandemic is extremely frightening to me!!

Completed BSc here and found it very useful and the courses, for the most part, to be spot on. First year is a struggle. UofA should put more work in terms of guidance and support for first years. Parking is a complete PAIN and over priced. There should be different rates for students to park. Even the option of a different rate at the LRT parking stations for car pools if you are a student. Other than that, great experience and worth it.

Awesome experience at the U of A. I am from Mexico, I was studying there in 1997 for my MBA degree. Excelent facilities: swimming pool, gym, accomodation, libraries. Warm and generous people.

Was actually at the Canadian Blood Donor Clinic. Clean, quite, timely. Donate Blood when you can, it saves lives

5 stars for the U of A Hospital..Gamma Knife unit. The staff are like family..genuinely caring and extremely skilled in their profession. We are so fortunate to have this facility.

U of A Hospital is the ONLY one to go to in Edmonton. This statement comes from many experiences with the other care centres here. I have witnessed some aweful things at the other places and will not go down that road again... EVER!!!! U OF A IS GREAT. Amazing staff, nurses are fast, efficient, very friendly with great bedside manner. I will be forever in dented to all the wonderful, beautiful people at the U. Thank you For saving my Mother's life.

Any time that I go to Manning Kowski and I have questions my questions are always answered to the point I understand they're very knowledgeable and they're awesome bunch of people nurses and doctors surgeons that all work there you guys are all awesome you've kept me alive for 19 more years can I ask for more than that you're an awesome bunch I love you guys keep up the good work

Beautiful grounds. Always lovely to walk around my old alma mater and see how much progress has been made over the years.

They do not create successful people. They accept successful people and then take the credit.

Not entirely sure if this is an educational facility.

The University of Alberta hospital has the most amazing care for their patients. I'm thankful for all the specialist, doctors, and nurses. That are working there. I feel like my family is getting the best help we can get.

The U of A suffers:
-massive overcrowding
-poor academic reputation
-low prestige
-very large class sizes
-poor professors
-no research opportunities
-horrible facilities
-food that consists of subway and starbucks
-nowhere to sit once you wait in line 20 minutes to get your food
-abysmal weather, like you are attending school in a dark freezer
-ugly campus: utilitarian, Soviet-style buildings
-terrible social atmosphere

Took part in their Dance Club. Very friendly teachers who help you master all skills presented.

Very nice locations for classes.

I am always treated with respect at the UofA and other amenities

admitted for emergency care. Once past the triage, the care i received was 2nd to none. Highly professional drs and nurses who made my health and recovery their priority. Thank you U of A team

Be prepared to use a car service, public bus or LRT service to arrive and leave.

Parking is not convenient whatsoever. Parking which is, is almost always full. The pricing is amongst the highest in the city.

There are many buildings. You must plan your trip here ahead of time.

A great option for someone considering higher education or a degree program.

Really great for complex medical care and information on many things but there needs to be more social distancing and more masks than what I've seen and they definitely need to get it together considering the past two times I was there , there was a palidin security guard who clearly was sick working the door and would take his mask off inside the hospital and was sitting near people who were waiting for Dats! And others who had a compromised immune system clearly!! It ! Honestly seemed as if he were trying to get people ill!! And the disposing of masks outside just in the common trash bins are NOT SAFE !! THERE NEEDS TO BE BINS WITH LIDS FOR THEM

Was at hospital not the University. Nursing staff was great.

Most of the bad reviews are from people who didn't know what they were getting into. This is not surprising as high schools often lack properly trained counselors that can steer students in the right direction.

I recently had a heart attack and had to go to U of A hospital for some tests and get some stents installed. What an incredible place. The staff are 2nd to none. The best and the brightest. Thank you Dr. Choy etc al for fixing me up qnd treating me so well while you were doing it.

A crucial part of the community and one of Edmonton's most venerable institutions. I recommend the historical walking tour, to learn more about U of A's rich and fascinating history.

I came into the UofA Emergency on foot as I suffer from Bronchitis. Covid-19 has everyone scared and as I need to be able to meet with a few people in person it is important to be cleared. The staff are friendly, courteous and are working super hard to get everyone the help they need. GO FRONTLINE WORKERS!!! Thank you!

2 years wasted. You'll get treated badly by the school and the system. Parking costs an arm and leg. Lots of TAs and profs don't even like teaching, or don't know how to teach (they do research, not teach). Also you get no experience, just a degree.... if you're lucky. Super friendly classmates and fun activities on campus tho I'll admit.

Can anyone tell alberta ca or anyother uni how much cost you for first aid training for work place

The care I received in the internal medicine ward was top notch, professional & with empathy, always a smile & warm greetings.
Special thanks to Dr. Rajwani, endocrinologist Anne Rogers, and her dedicated staff, nurse Hailey & all other nurses whom I forgotten their names as well as all assistants & dedicated cleaning staff & food servers.
And to add, I really liked the food.

Thr Cross Cancer Institute is a very client friendly place. The team members are compassionate, friendly bunch. Great place to fell icky.

Although I'm from Europe and study there and just been in this place as a visitor, it sure did get a great impression! All modern, well organized and greatly equipped. Although I didn't get a chance to familiarize myself with studying process here, definitely recommend considering studying here

Was at Cross Cancer Institute. They are wonderful!! They treat you like Royalty.

Pharmacology professors here are a joke. Otherwise an excellent university. Can t speak for other programs.

I love the area. Its clean and quiet well looked after. Its easy to catch transit to where you need to go in a timely manner.

It's alright for community leisure.... but over priced on parking. What I dont understand is why the system is even there in the first place. You take so much time to find a parking spot. When you could be spending it with the loved one who is dying in the hospital. Almost about 15 minutes it takes to find a spot. Or spend 10 dollars for 30 minutes....
This needs to change..... should not pay for parking in general..at a fricking hospital.

I do believe U.Alberta cross cancer has some of the best and friendliest staff I have ever seen. They take time to answer questions and any other concerns you may have
