Recently my sons were both on your health plan through Medicaid in Texas. Your coverage gave us very poor access to providers. I could not get my son a direct referral to a psychiatrist. In fact I could not get him in to see a psychiatrist at all. The pediatrician we were referred to was rude and did not follow up on patient needs at all, ever. Your hotline to help find a provider gave us dead numbers, providers who had moved, and bad addresses for the providers. Your health plan dropped our emergency room with no notice. I switched both of my son s from your very low quality coverage. Texas should not allow you to handle CHIP or Medicaid patients. Children deserve much better than what you have to offer. I expect to see you go out of business soon. I really hope you do for the sake of children everywhere.

This is the worst health insurance I've ever had. They give misinformation and then deny every appeal. All they want is money and they don't care if you get care. I hope they go out of business.

can find zero tangible evidence that the Consumer Affairs department even exists, much less is actually staffed.

UHC has and will make a conscious choice to deny a curative treatment for one of its clients in favor of a lifetime of addiction and disability. They are disgraceful and should be prosecuted in the same manner as the opioid companies.

Simply stated: This is a horrible company. ... It treats employees like trash and customers even worse. I'm not sure how that's possible since crushing your spirit, pocket and medical coverage all at once is pretty ingenious for employee control but customers is just wow impressive. Unfortunately, this company is built purely for prestige and profit for a few. Nothing they say about "company culture" or "values" holds anything but a snide smile from someone looking to handicap somebody else. The company is run on fear, harassment, and bullying this extends to employees and customers. It's the worst adversarial environment imaginable. The company is ethically unable to function and that means legally unable as well. When it comes to employees, UHG is about threats, verbal threats, emotional threats and implied physical and financial harm, pay withholding, fear, humiliation and greed.

I found UHC a wonderful place to work. Coworkers were supportive and encouraging. There are many opportunities for advancement as well. I had three supervisors over two jobs and l were great!
