United Way genuinely serves the community, all communities. Great organization!

I was told to call 630-2469 at 9:30am for help and it has been busy for nearly an hour.I actually got it to ring over 10 times and it hangs up or reverts back to a busy signal!

Was sent here by mistake, but the admin staff on hand were friendly and helpful in getting me to the services I needed.

Unfortunately this organization made no effort to help, Claire was a very poor phone representative stating United Way did not have funds, all other organizations funds were depleted including veteran organizations, and situations in which someone lost work more than 90 days ago did not qualify had to be within 90 days, furthermore was surprised to hear finding a job in Jacksonville had been difficult..yes, she really said that. I will not be donating to United Way though my employer has given out paperwork for automatic gift deductions from paychecks, as I have seen first hand that they do not try to help in a true emergency. I will donate to other, smaller organizations that actually help instead.

Gorgeous building. Pleasant staff as I was there your an interview. Interview was enjoyable. I think I will move to Jacksonville.

Been on the phone 45 minutes waiting to be connected to someone.

Most of the donations to this place go to paying high salaries to a select few.

Trying to get any type of assistance in Jacksonville is like pulling your own teeth out. Most people who answer the phones act as if they're better than you & they dont TRY to assist. If you're asking about services that arent available they only tell you that there isnt any help at this time. They dont even redirect you to another source. So unprofessional.
