Unfortunately this organization made no effort to help, Claire was a very poor phone representative stating United Way did not have funds, all other organizations funds were depleted including veteran organizations, and situations in which someone lost work more than 90 days ago did not qualify had to be within 90 days, furthermore was surprised to hear finding a job in Jacksonville had been difficult..yes, she really said that. I will not be donating to United Way though my employer has given out paperwork for automatic gift deductions from paychecks, as I have seen first hand that they do not try to help in a true emergency. I will donate to other, smaller organizations that actually help instead.
