Our guide Roberta was amazing. Very knowledgeable about the building and the history. The tour was great and since it wasn't busy they showed us a couple extra rooms which normally aren't on the tour. Overall definitely worth visiting.

I went to the Capitol building with my family. I enjoyed every minute of the tour.

Magnificent building that we did not have time to visit. The outside is already worth the detour, very beautiful garden with at that time sumptuous azaleas.

As minister of commission I hope you have received the enough expenditures for the restoration of this building it is very important that we hold on to some of our great traditions and do away with the old traditions like slavery and how slavery is not permitted in any part of the Republic or any part of the world.

Great landmark to visit. The building is absolutely beautiful, and you can learn a lot depending on your tour.

It is better to go ahead and make a reservation. The prosperous season will be assembled at least 45 minutes before the departure of the tour.

Washington DC in general is one of the greatest cities to visit in my opinion. The Capitol architecture is beautiful.

All politics aside, the U.S. Capitol is an amazing piece of architecture and a great place to visit. Gorgeous rotunda and halls, although my personal favorite parts are the underground tunnels to the office buildings. Email your representative and ask for a tour!

Sen. McCaskill's office (Missouri) provided us an outstanding tour of the U.S. Capitol. Everything is so ornate and beautiful!

Tour does not take you to the gallery. You do get the rotunda, and a statue room.

Douglas was our tour guide today and was absolutely amazing! He made the tour fun, and he was full of knowledge. If you visit the Capitol you better hope you get to have Douglas!

My trip to the Capitol was great! I had a pre-booked tour, and when I got on the tour it was amazing! I would recommend not to get stressed about what they say on the brochure.

The tour is excellent and they are brilliant to make you wear dedicated headphones connected to your tour guide so you can hear them. Our tour guide was very funny and super knowledgeable. As we moved from each beautiful room with intricate statues of famous politicians, she would ask everyone which state they were from and then make sure to tell them interesting facts about people represented in each room. There is so much to see and history abounds. A truly awe inspiring place.

Visited in 2015 summer and at that time Capitol building was under construction and guess what, free access to the ground area. Not that big I have imagined when I seen in the tv..

Landscaping and the structure of the building was mind blowing.. the unmistakable Dome reminds me descriptions in Davinci Code book.

This place is where the nation s heart stands and I truly believe every DC tour should start here. You can just walk in for a free guided tour and feel the strength of the union as you walk by different chambers. Doesn t matter where you stand in the political spectrum, a tour in the Capitol would make you wanna be a better citizen. All the tour guides are really ambitious and happy with their work and their knowledge of history is amazing. Definitely a must do in DC!

The building was a massive yet the architecture had a Roman look to in but the inside tours were amazing the building itself looked Beautiful love it would go back

The parliament of US. Big, beautiful, nice. If you don't notice the underground path you might mistake it to be not open for public access!. Big security check is there. Best part is they have free guide tour.

Can book early or just go. But book if you want to be sure. Do not go for the politics. Go for the architecture.

Great tour with lots of fascinating facts and stories. Being there during the work day is a little like being in Hollywood as you'll likely spot famous Congress members if you keep an eye out for them. We had one stop our group to ask where we were from and then filled us in on his background. It was nice to see him in his "natural habitat". If you enjoy architecture, the building can't be missed. Most people don't realize how much has changed in the construction/reconstruction of the dome over time.

Thankful for being an American. The presentation was wonderful.

We visited here in winter, but from this the greatness of this place has not decreased. All that you saw on the video or photo opened before you and you could touch it all. The heart of America and I have been here. It is imperative for all tourists to be here at least once. I ll say right away that I haven t seen any of the power structures, but it s still cool !!

Very crowded place but nice to see once. Hard to make pictures because of that many people. It is possible and recommended to reserve places in tours online.

Beautiful building on massive land. Rotunda under construction. The visitors center offers free limited tours. Highly recommend for sight seeing in DC.

Visiting the US Capitol is a must! Make sure to carry water and keep hydrated at all times.

I came from INDIA to visit United States Capitol on 4th July 2019 with family at Washington D.C, USA. It is one of the most wonderful historical US Government building where we can see the statues , Images and paintings of great personalities of USA at United States Capitol Visitor Center. It is maintained with neat and clean with all facilities and also a store , restrooms etc. I had a great time in my life when I visited United States Capitol Visitor Center ,Washington D.C., USA

Let's all go and get in "good trouble". One person can make a difference. Equality, fairness, truthfulness and justice is what Congressman John Lewis, "the moral conscience of the Congress" stood for and we can too.

Neoclassical architecture at its finest. Great for pictures but not much to do.

Its build in 1793-1800 as new spot for the Congress and both party's.

If you are going to know Whasintong you must go to know its monuments !!

Take a Capitol tour. My favorite part was the old Capitol portion where the nation's legislators met to debate slavery, economy, and policies that kept our Union together in the decades prior to the Civil War.

Visited the US Capitol for the first time while in Washington DC on business. I was able to coordinate a tour with a staffer and it was well worth it. He was extremely knowledgeable about everything in the building and provided small tidbits of information that made it even more interesting. I would highly recommend taking the tour if you are visiting the Washington DC area.
