there is certainly better to visit in new york, but if you have finished all the important stops a jump to the glass palace can be done.

Bonghobondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman gave speech to UN in 25 September, 1974. At that time he delivered his speech in Bangla Language.
I only observed him outside one October afternoon. If you intend to visit the building, visitors are accepted until certain hours, and it is quite an expert to enter the ambassadors room, sit in the chair of your country and take your souvenir photo. Also at closing time, pay attention to the flags that go down one by one.
One of the greatest things that the US has ever done is creation of the United Nations! To marvel at the aquamarine glass of the UN Secretariat Building, is to marvel at the power, influence, diplomacy and greatness of America. While there, you can take one of their tours. Nothing like it. This is where the world comes to say what it wants to say. The freedom of this place is matched only by the prestige all the flags bring to America each time they flutter and herald names of lands distant and foreign - but very much a part of the great commity of nations that together comprise our world!
You shouldn't miss one of the most important podiums for diplomacy. They have a rose garden by the East River and gifts from the member countries. You can pay for a tour or find a contact that can give you one for free.
Must have seen something that seems to be good for humanity
Great place to just look for your country's flag (if you're a tourist). The building itself was not accessible for the general public while I was there.
It s really lucky, there was no national flag that day,
Can not shoot the flag flying.
So exciting to see in real life what you only know from TV.
A must visit place. I didn't know you can visit until lately. Piece of advice: if you're at the security booth, don't answer/make phone calls.
Attended CSW ministerial roundtable, NGO briefings, very interesting but parallel events were more engaging and interactive
They provide guided tours with those who want more detailed features in the headquarters. The tours are, of course, not for free and can be applied for online but they are totally worthy.
For those who are travelling NYC in not enough budgets, this is not sure but I assume you can just go in the buildings. During the security check at the building right across the HQ, you can say the purpose is for tour. But you would not be able to enter the specially purposed places, but the first floor and the souvenir shop downstairs possibly. Not sure, so please check with others!
Awesome! Great to see all the art and sculptures on the UN grounds. The place is very busy, must have an agenda before going if not it is pretty difficult to navigate.
Great experience to those in college. Had a wonderful time seeing how the conferences work and how the UN operates.
This was a dream come true it was a very special day.
Large, clean building. Lots of security. Cool exhibits. Great tour and awesome chance to visit the worlds central meeting spot!
Rich in history and an opportunity to see the workings of the UN.
Hi on November 28 2017 I am prophet Brian Lewis on matter. I say great colors and designs on matter. God said everyone have a time to meet in life on matter. Have a bless day
Surely it was very cool but you have to book or you can only see the Hall without additional cost
By registering at the visitor center you can book for a guided tour. The guide described the function and commitments carried out by the UN and led us to visit the rooms of the plenary assembly, the security council and the council for economic development. Very interesting visit !!!
... you unstoppable young people ... you should try the life of "E. Olmi's hoof tree" for at least 5 years, to appreciate what the authentic "ZERO IMPACT 0" is ... then, but then we can talk it over.
UN offices in New York, you can only enter with official certification.
The UN guided tour is good.
A friendly explanation of historical meaning and current situation
It helped me to understand.
Where leaders of the world meet every September and mess up city traffic for weeks.
Too good to know the UN facilities, see the famous sculpture of the revolver with the cable twisted.
Interesting and we got to go into the Security Council
Look at it from above, at the edge of the East River. Really impressive.
Got a tour from a friend that works there and it is an awesome building with beautiful art.
Elie delplace here is an iconic and secure place there is security officer onu
I follow my teacher visit there. So I don't know how to come inside for any ways. But here Learning something.
Love the area and it s a great place to hang out with the family.
Be sure to reserve a tour beforehand or you will be waiting.
Not much to do here, but it's nice to see once in your lifeline and it's free. Getting a visitor pass is very quick and also free, so it makes sense to get one
Tour was very average. We looked at some rooms and talked about very little. Tour is 45mins and costs USD15
It is a place with a lot of history !! It is worth visiting it with a lot of time !!! Very well thought out for tourists who really believe in Peace
Admission is free, but if there is no guided tour you cannot access any room. Therefore, if you are in the area it is a good option, but if you want to go to visit it better make sure that you will be able to have access to more places. Downstairs you have a souvenir shop and a cafeteria.
I chaperoned my son's school for the Model Montessori United Nations Conference. It was a great event that commenced at the United Nations. The United Nations was closed to the Conference participants only, security was topnotch and it was a very organized event overall. We will return next year!
Very nice view from across the river where the Pepsi sign at hunters point park.

Very close view right at the UN building
It's open for tours.
There are also places of worship inside the UN as I personally attended the Friday prayer inside and it was wonderful!
Interesting place to visit and learn. Highly recommend.
A little humble looking considering the popularity and overall effect of decisions made here to the world.
What can I say...? Extremely interesting location of global importance, go to the visitor center on 1st Ave/45 St, get your ticket and do a tour! You'll see...
It is a visit that every tourist in NY should experience as much as possible. It is necessary to know, understand and support the organization's projects with our visits.
I made the guided tour in Italian, done with care and professionalism by the staff prepared on that day! It deserves to be seen, often many decisions at the world level pass by here and we do not know. Recommended!
Unique place - you should go if you're interested in internationalisation, politics or history. Interesting events almost everyday. Great history. Fantastic blend of cultures.
Very unfriendly security /staff. They bark at you if you ask a question. They are so unfriendly it makes the trip miserable.
Had a terrible your guide if you want to be bored for hours great spot
Like an ordinary old fashion office block. No flags that day
Unite States is a organization to develop human' peace and progress, is a symbol of civilization.
Spend $16 to take an informative guided tour of the United Nations. Guides are available that speak a variety of different languages.
Went for an outside comedy event. There was nothing to help keep the patrons from being eaten by mosquitoes. Definitely did enjoy my time there and left.
The place is a cess pool filed with the worst kind of people (mass murders and the like) who rant about other countries to deflect from their own atrocities. What s worse is after they insult you they demand you pay the bill. It should be turned into Trump University because even that was less of a joke.
The UN headquarters / headquarters, a magnificent building with meeting rooms and meetings where decisions are made of the most important
A very interesting place if you take your time and also take part in the guided tour, which is informative and also leads into the plenary hall. Numerous interesting works of art on the site as well as in the buildings.
However, the strict safety regulations initially lead to long waiting times, so patience is required.
Interesting place to visit, but the guide a bit bored by the job and didnt but too much into it....
