This is a great camp! My son has went 2 years in a row, he has the time of his life. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. He has the best stories to tell when he comes home. I believe all children should go to this camp. He looks forward to it every summer.

As an eleven and twelve year old in 1971 and '72, My brother and I went to Camp Tekoa. Our grandfather, a long time Methodist Minister with Charges in Delta/Sandy Ridge/Dobson and Elkin, NC and finally moving to Denton, NC in 1948 to finish his tenure, wanted us to attend. He passed the year before and since we had been to Lake Junaluska with him and our parents several times, it was a no brainer. The experience at "Tekoa" was very spiritual and fun! The Shoals, Pinnacle hike and the "away from home" experience was one I will never forget. It was heavenly! I decided to attend college in the Mountains, Lees-McRae and App State '82, as a result of that experience. Sorry Brevard, Western Carolina, Mars Hill et al. I was born to be a Mountaineer! Register your child/children for one of the numerous events in their lives they will never forget!

Camp Tekoa is a GREAT opportunity for children to learn new fun things, make new friends, and get away from home for a week. Several family members have been coming to this camp for many years and REALLY LOOK FORWARD to coming back the next year.... the staff is always awesome too! Recommend it for all ages. Lots of fun!!

This Camp is really fun and spritual guiding. I really enjoyed my experience at this camp and I hope you can as well. The Staff and Counslers are very nice and encouraging to everyone. No matter what part of camp you sign up for and do it will still be an amazing and fun experience and spiritual guiding. One piece of advice is no matter what do not bring any electronic devices. I have gone twice and not brought my phone or anything else because it will truly ruin the experience if you do and it gets to go to the office and you don't see it again till the end of week. I hope you all sign up and go to this amazing camp. Braden Averett

A great place with incredible spiritual feel for young and old alike! Camp Tekoa is fun, inspirational, and safe place for an outdoor summer camp experience, especially for our children! Sign up and go get back in touch with nature and God, enjoy

I was a camper at Tekoa, then a CiT, then a Counselor! I am thrilled that my girls are now experiencing this same amazing place! The staff is well trained and the activities are fantastic. I can't say enough!

This camp made my friend want to run away forever. I can't even see her anymore because they had to put her into a facility for her PTSD. I really hope you choose to never come to this awful place. Good day.

It was the summer of 1985. 9 about to be 10. Started Adderall that week. As I look back, it was the first time I got "high" and it ended up ruining my otherwise wonderful week at camp. I've got stories.
