Woke me up at 6am in my hotel screaming and picketing in spanish. Unbelievable!

Wake up entire neighborhoods with their selfish protests.

Been in LA for 2 weeks so far at a hotel near the beach. I'm working a nights shift almost every day from midnight till midday and thanks to their protest outside the hotel every day from morning till evening, i barely get any sleep every day. It's been horrible working an already horrible shift, but on top of that being extremely tired as well.

I had a horrible experience with this outfit. They're blocking a sidewalk in DTLA near a hotel with a coffee shop I like, and try to force this hotel workers to sign up for their union and pay their dues. All the do, all day, every day, is block the side walk in front of the entrance and chant their slogans into loudspeakers until the poor hotel workers sign up for their union. What a hassle, and what a clown outfit!

Typically, I am always a supporter of Unions. I believe workers deserve rights, livable wages, and safe work conditions. My hotel job has ALL of that. They pay LARGELY over minimum wage, ensure safety and security for all workers, and make sure our rights are respected. Local 11 has REFUSED to allow us to vote for unionization. A HUGE majority of us here at the property do NOT want this union. They protest outside our property and drive away business. They do not listen to the people they are trying to unionize. Why would I want or support a union that deliberately drives away business and jeopardizes our jobs? This union is an absolute joke. Our CEO has requested a proper vote for unionization multiple times and this union has denied that request, is that not the point of a union in the first place? What a joke.

Support unions folks. They make conditions better for their own workers directly, and non-union workers as a knock-on effect of their advocacy. The owner class organizes for their mutual benefit, and so must the workers.

The members of Local Union 11 starting with CEO as the Representatives of the Union and representatives
of our place of work are some people with a LOT OF PROFECIONALISM AND LITTLE EDUCATION.
Personally, they have not helped me when I needed them and I had to defend myself BUT that if the monthly fee we pay for representing us always charges us whether they help us or not.

Mr. Manuel Roman is the Vice President of Local 11 is a * Barbajan * grocer also comes to shout and impose his ideas is much more grounded with people who disagree logically but in general is very poorly educated. It has no profecionalismo to treat Union Imaginense members that we can expect from the other representatives. It says that a union member can not harass another member of Union and that we must demand that they respect us in our workplace and the is one who does not know what RESPECT is. Mr. Manuel Roman sarcastically told me to go and complain where I wanted and with whom I would like to know that he is one of them.
He thinks that nobody can listen to me and help me, he disrespected me by shouting at me as is his custom.
And with Mrs. Daisy Monterrosa she also has a lot of lack of Proficiency she dared to ask me to retract a grievance that I did find a partner is the most RIDICULO that I have heard only for helping a person who by his same way of being and behaving he earned being in the situation that is. What bothers me is how corrupt they are.

I am already tired of so much lack of RESPECT that is why today I do it public and I hope you read this before accepting the Union in the workplace and investigate them well because with Union or we do not have rights as workers and we do not let's intimidate since it is a form that they use so that we do not speak but I believe that there are limits and with people like the ones mentioned above have already passed.
I sincerely hope that this will help those who do not dare to speak and are going through similar situations.
The same Union says IF IT CAN BE, and I tell them that if we join, we are the Union as members, not those representatives we have.
Let's not let them decide for us. And these are some of the cases I hope this stops and treat us with respect as we deserve it.

The woman I spoke with on the phone - super rude and not willing to help... Granted I was calling to opt out of paying union dues, but that doesn't call for a rude short response. Just asked the process to get started on opting out of the union. Her response "Do your research on how to do that." Like cool.... thanks for the help I thought by me calling was me trying to get more information. But FYI to everyone out there, you can opt out of giving this union your money.

They want us to pay dues but are closed because of Covid. They don t return any calls. We pay the highest dues at the Disneyland resort and get no response. I ve asked for the parking booths to be cleaned. They have 5 years worth of dirt. They better be getting cleaned and updated so it s safe for us to return to work.

Great union if you re looking for terrible representation and no response from them while they continue to take your money every month!

This is a great organization that advocates for better working conditions and living wages for workers. I am grateful that there are unions like Unite Here representing service workers. Obviously, not all people benefit from workers being treated with respect and being paid enough to sustain their families. I wish that this organization's critics were more honest about their interests and intentions.

Pretty ineffective staff, esp when dealing with grievances, never respond back or return phone calls.

They seemed helpful at first but then ghosted me. Tried to reach out to get a confirmation if the issue was going to be resolved or not, and got no responses from multiple people. Don t know why I paid my union fees when they aren t going to assist me at all.

Shameful excuse for a union. Gets wealthy of the poor workers, and works with the company more than the employees. Acted like they never received my call about a concern I had with managers, but next time I was them they wanted me to listen to their agendas.
