only been to the basketball gym a few times and dunked on one of the rims and got yelled at and threatened to be kicked out... had no warning that i wasnt allowed to and theres no sign that says no dunking on the rim... the guy could have just asked me politley not to dunk on the rim
Probably the worst gym I've ever been in. Not one good barbell in free weight room. I've seen high school weight rooms have better equipment. The staff needs a very hard lesson in customer service and stop hiring high school and college kids that don't want to do their jobs.
The facility is clean as could be. The staff is very hospitable.
One of the best YMCAs in the nation. Pool always clean and available for laps. Racquetball avail. Big cardio/free weights area.
Worst gym, Y, business, pick one. Customer service is horrible. Facility is abysmal and outdated. No wonder they re bankrupt! They e tried to put profits ahead of customer service and lost. Parking lot is one big pothole, they take away services that are actually used and valued and replace them with services no one cares about. Horribly mismanaged. If there was another gym with racquetball within 20 minutes of my house I d leave this Y ASAP.
BEWARE!! Went to cancel my membership, was told that I had to do a 90 day hold first, then after the 90 days, it would be cancelled. Noticed a charge on my Amex card recently from the YMCA. Called to let them know their error, and to get the charges refunded, they refused, but was told that I was wrong, and no one would have said that about the "hold" process. When I pointed it that this sounded a lot like a scam to keep billing and that I would be talking to Amex about disputing the charges, she said "that's ok, we deal with this all the time" ... They scam people so often that it's now routine to deal with credit card disputes???? That can't be right, can it?
If you used to be pretty nice now there's no towels in the workout room upstairs quite a few of the machines aren't working properly air conditioning hasn't been working for a couple of days when you walk in it's like walking into a outside at 3 in the afternoon the first machine to get on doesn't work could try another one it doesn't work well I guess I didn't need to do it today anyway oh by the way I went to the restroom on the way out the restroom was filthy what's wrong with you guys it used to be such a great place or just you don't care anymore
Hours are terrible, they close for every excuse they get. Caters to people who want to go to group classes but completely neglects everyone else. Free weight area is ok but outdated, just like eveything else. They rarely stock their towels in weight room. Not a gym for people who actually like going to the gym. I would literally go to any other gym if there was one in the area with child care. Oh, and you only get to have a sauna if your a man.
Warm pool is not vented properly and you can hardly breathe with the heat and chlorine. This pool needs to be painted and cleaned up as well. The facility is just old and is in major need of updating. No sauna, no fun pool for kids. It is pricey when comparing it to what you can get in Delaware!
My family has been members of the Marysville YMCA for about 6 years. The lack of progress and seemingly indifference of management to member satisfaction is astounding. I finally felt the need to write a review. The staff members fluctuate between being rude and indifferent. The building is very outdated. It just looks old, like nothing much has changed since the 90 s. The pools are decent enough but very limited schedule for family swim in the warm pool. No hot tub, sauna only in men s room and usually out of service. The cardio/weight areas aren t terrible, but improvements are very infrequent. Parking lot has potholes everywhere and has been in need of resurfacing for years. I really wish Marysville had more options. The fact it doesn t is probably why the YMCA is comfortable with its members having a below average experience. I doubt this review will make any difference at all, as the google reviews go back several years and the same criticisms keep getting posted. If someone out there is considering opening a Planet Fitness, pull the trigger!! You ll have people racing to your door!
Kinda like but the weight machines are old and they don t have a lot of machines. No sauna for the ladies. Limited class times. The men s sauna is usually out of service. Wish there was a planet fitness in town
This YMCA is not family oriented. They won't let a small child in the leisure pool in the morning when accompanied with an adult. They let people talk rudely to you like they run the place because they think they run the YMCA because of getting this pool EVERY day till 11am. Reward people that don't want to see a family have family time before they go to work.
Good parking. Great amenities. Staff is not that motivated to help.

I find it a pleasant and comfortable place for me as a senior silver sneakers user. Facility is aging but new stuff means higher cost. Newer than Hilltop y where i also go. I don't use the pools but they look to be pretty decent. Not la fitness but not so crowded and more family oriented. Suits me fine.
