This is the best theatre for toddlers by far in London. We have been probably to another 10 theatre, but the atmosphere and quality of Unicorn Theatre is incomparable. Additionally, it is great that it is in Southbank!

I like the Unicorn Theatre because it is really child freindly and the shows are brilliant If there is one thing I could change it would be the size of the theater because it is quite small and can only fit about 30 people.

I attended The Baby Show with my 10 month old son and it was a magical experience. Well written, acted and directed - it's the first time I've seen a group of 6-18month children captivated for 30 mins.

The Unicorn theatre is a designed for children and is a great facility. Healthy snacks are available and handrails at different levels.

A real community asset.

It was our first time at the Unicorn theatre but it definitely won't be our last it was a lovely experience. Children really enjoyed amazing plays with such meaning at the core sparked off very intellectual conversations between the children and i all the way home!!! The bee in me was super emotion captivating and very cleverly done

This is an amazing children's theatre! Staff is very much family friendly and very patient. The play we've been to was for 1 year olds. The audience was captured for the whole play time of 40 minutes. There are plenty of other shows for older kids. We are definitely going to be regulars.

really amazing experience. wasn t expecting that much from the theatre because it was targeted towards kids but i saw the show maggot moon and it was fantastic and really well done. the set was really interesting and the set up was quite unique there wasn t really anything that i would change except for the ages of the actors bc they just seemed too old to be playing 15 year olds

School trip to watch the production of some of Anansi stories. The staff were so considerate and waited for us to arrive before starting the show as we were running late. They also gave us space for the children to have their lunch and provided an alternative for a pupil who had yoghurts but did not have a spoon for it.
Thank you Unicorn Theatre.

Brought tickets for a show aimed at 2-5yr olds. My 2.5yr old feel asleep just before arriving. Fast asleep. I was really disappointed to discover no leniency in these scenarios. Anyone with a toddler knows you can never completely tell what More

Quite a long way from the station and no signage in Tooley Street (I walked straight passed) leaves you feeling disoriented. The foyer is large but the bar is tiny and has very little choice, one white wine (I hate Sauvignon Blanc) which wasn't in the fridge. Opted for the cider this wasn't chilled enough. The seats are really uncomfortable in the auditorium and it's incredibly stuffy as there isn't air conditioning. I saw the play "The End Of Eddy" - quite good but would have preferred less of the 3rd person story telling. Great performances by the 2 actors. Hated the bright lights on the audience.

Went there with our 8 year old and we loved the place. The seating is fantastic with enough height from one row to the next that children can see perfect well, even if an adult seats in front of them. The staff are very nice and helpful.

Very cool modern theatre tucked away in a quiet corner of Southwark that stages plays for and also created by kids. The Quentin Blake murals everywhere and brightly coloured seating in the foyer cafe make this a cute, welcoming place - although the cafe's offering is tiny and they don't take credit cards. Our sold-out performance of Fringe First winner Monkey Bars was pretty good - and the enthusiastic kids in the audience were a welcome change from the slightly stuffy rep plays have. I'll be back to take my friend's kids to an Xmas show!

A fabulous theatre. Small and intimate this theatre always hits the mark with the quality of the shows, actors, content of plays, dialogue and atmosphere. For those new to theatre it's a great starters venue. I saw Pizza Shop heroes and the cast were generous with their time after the play concluded.

It is a theater space with adolescents as the main service object. It is very convenient for people to access and the space is simple and comfortable. Close to the train station, subway station, and a market that is 10 minutes walk away. If you walk to the river bank for 10-15 minutes, you can reach the Tower Bridge. It is an area where you can enjoy a whole day from morning to night by watching performances and walking along the coast.

A fantastic venue with an excellent programme and tremendous performances.

It is let down by a limited cafe with a small range of well designed yet somehow unappealing packaged snacks. Also the atrium /ticket hall is austere and oddly dull. That said, the staff were charming and friendly and informed.

My main concern was the appropriateness of the content. The performance of Maggot Moon was brilliant but I would caution the 9+ age rating. It was certainly for teenagers and above.

We went for children s show Sea Saw and the kids really enjoyed it. The story is was very engaging, well played by professional actors. It s very good form of entertainment for smaller theatre connoisseurs .
