Incredible! Definitely take a walking tour with the beefeaters!
A great place for the family to come, incredibly friendly tour guides with a plethera of information.
Years and years of history are in front of your eyes when you walk along the old stones, when you enter the halls, when you admire the Crown Jewelry, when you shake of fear into the prisons... A must to see!
I love the history and rich display of how a nation was born.
Very good day out. Got e-ticket so went straight in. So much to see. There is a lot stairs.
Lovely day out, one way system works very well and staff are friendly and willing to help
Poor guidance, one guide on too many people, most of the time do not hear well. Disrespectful of entry fees, looks like a tourist trap
From here you can view the London Bridge and snap a few good photos. With very little time, I did not go inside the tower, but it is advertised that the visitor can view largest diamond in the world which attached to the queen's crown. Plenty of fast food around. Nearby toilets entrance fee is 50 pences.
Wow, if you like history this is the place to visit.
Wonderful historical site with multiple buildings. Allow a minimum of 3 hours to explore but ideally longer if you can. Crown Jewels are stunning, changing of the guard is fun to watch and looking at all of the different genres of uniforms was very interesting. A great day out for the family, more suitable for older children to appreciate all on offer.
Tour Guide was excellent. Brought the place alive with Historical Stories. A fab night out. All my friends loved it too. What's not to like
A very interesting place to visit but to get the most from your visit you need to be good with steps
A beautiful morning to visit the Tower of London and to see the Crown Jewels in the Jewel House. You could spend a whole day just visiting the Tower of London complex.
The best way to visit the Tower is by river. You get dropped off right by the entrance and you get the best possible view of the castle.
It is a tourist trap, no doubt. That said, they have done a brilliant in making the staff feel integral to the experience. Impromptu performances are a must. Don't play it cool and ignore them, join the crowd and get a good view.
The armoury is great if you like weapons. But it is spoilt somewhat by everyone taking selfies in front of everything. But that's how it goes now.
The crown jewels nearly always have a queue, toilets are awkwardly positioned - so use them when you get a chance.
An incredible bit of living history! I would recommend leaving enough time for at least a half day here. There's so much to see and the lines for the more popular exhibits can get quite long; especially the Crown Jewels.
This is a venue that is engaging for all ages. Highly for me were the crown jewels and for my granddaughters, aged 7 and 4, it was Knight School which kept them entertained for nearly two hours. Staff were very friendly especially the More
Really interesting lots of history shame about some of the staff some are very miserable
went to the Tower of London for the day and although it was in December the sun was bright and we had a very nice day, we had a tour by one of the Yeoman Wardens and it was very informative and entertaining we went around a large part of the Castle and grounds and we saw the Armouries display in the White Tower and went in to see the Crown Jewels which are impressive I would recommend it to any body for a day out
One of the best tours. The tour guide "Barney" was hysterical. Would definitely go again just to see him. Oh yeah the crown jewels were cool too I suppose.
Fantastic. So much history! The yeoman tours are unmissable. Ours was lead by Clive who clearly loved his job and was so interesting to listen to. I was very sad when it finished!
Was a little disappointed with crown jewels
Not many and too fast .By the time that i read the information I was 1/2way down to the next one .4 hours well spent did enjoy. Would of liked a bit more readable history .
At first I thought the price here was a lot and without the London pass we probably wouldn't have gone but how wrong could I be!! Once in there is so much to see you could easily spend a whole day here and it's worth every penny. Crown jewels was my favourite part and we didn't queue for anything. There's probably so much there we didn't get to see and id 100% go back
What a fantastic experience! Give yourself an entire day to take in all of the sites. Saw so much and didn't even get to go on either tour
What a wonderful display of English history. It was spoilt a bit by many of the visitors, especially those with younger children, who were not interested in history, getting bored and not following the safety social distancing rules and well thought out 1 way systems, this being worse during the later part of the afternoon when the Tower was at maximum capacity. This place is not a good day out for youngsters or teenagers with vital social life or death social media to deal with!!
A wonderful part of our heritage. Displays etc were very well laid out, no rushing along. Queues were not too bad to see the Crown Jewels although visitor numbers were restricted under Covid 19 conditions.
Not cheap to visit but worth the cost in my opinion.
Very good. The free tour was very good and amusing.
One of the most beautiful place in London. Really nice view and very intresting adventure.
I have booked a slot as soon as they reopened and it was very enjoyable as there were no queues, no overcrowded spots. Everything is organized so it goes in one direction. Some parts that would normally be open were closed for safety reasons but they are working on reopening them soon. Nevertheless, what is worth seeing is accessible. Loved it! Great experience, almost surreal to be there with just few people around.
The Tower of London is a must see. The experience is what you make it as you walk through the different buildings. I imagine during peak tourist season some of the rooms to be difficult getting through. I would plan on spending about 2 hours here. The queens jewels are pretty cool too.
Great day out. Get there early as it gets really busy. Allow several hours to see all you want
It's an interesting place but I don't think it compensates the cost.
After seeing countless castles on our tour across the UK, this one blended into the others with very few distinguishing features. But there were two characteristics that proved most memorable. Viewing the Crown Jewels, the same that adorn modern kings and queens, was just as impressive now as they were when I first saw them in 1985.The other aspect worth the effort was the spectacular view of iconic Tower Bridge from the most photogenic angle.
Very cool place to see. Lots on display. Long line up to see the crown jewels.
Brilliant! Please plan on spending half a day to walk through it. Then go get lunch somewhere awesome and come back for the other half of the day. It is impossible to see and remember this amazing historical site in a morning. Take time to dream of night time invasions, burning oil, treachery and defending arrow slits before venturing away to the next piece of history.
This one of the must sees in London. Such history to learn about. Fascinating
Loved getting to tour this amazing piece of history. So much history in this castle. If you are a lover of history, it's a must stop. Our children loved seeing the sites and hearing all the history amongst the walls. If only the walls could talk!!
Great place to go for both foreigners & locals. Nice place to visit, good land mark to see old history.
Great tourist attraction but beware of pickpockets around the entrance and riverside, 5 young Romanian gypsies asking you to sign a petition while others are dipping your pockets and bags
I loved visiting this place. Indeed, the guide was good, she knows how to interest each person by interpreting the main characters of the Tower of London's story.
Nice atmosphere and quite educational and interesting to find out more about the monarchy. Remember to buy the tickets online or go for group tickets at the ticket counters to save a few pounds. Grab yourself a coffee while queuing up for the Crown Jewels.
Haven't been inside but definitely a suggestive place two meters from tower bridge. One of the remanings of a medieval London in the middle of the City. Surrounded by skyscrapers the castles looks pretty small but it's actually of considerable size. It contains the jewels of the queen
I loved viewing the crown jewels, but I wasn't interested in the armory
The Quintessential London visit. Not to be missed. Must join a Yeoman warders tour! Must see the crown jewels. The staff are helpful and considerate with mobility challenged individuals. They love to answer questions and educate you. The cobbles are tricky underfoot and there are many steps to access the different areas. The white tower has a mobility lift but only to access the shop downstairs which is not terribly useful. However overall it's well worth the effort if just to watch the Ravens play and gobble their meat.
If you like castles and history, then you'll lobe the tower of London.
Beautiful but the staff on the grounds were very rude
Amazing structure , great history. Visit was awesome
Good experience and a fascinating visit. I especially enjoyed the Crown Jewels.
"Terrible spot: -Elizabeth I, probably
"Amazing." -me
Fantastic part of Britain's history. Reasonable value for money and a guided tour is a must.
Beautiful, but way too busy. If you're going to charge 30 pounds, you'll have to do some traffic control.
This was much better than anticipated; we spent 4 hours with kids, and could have spent 2 more. Go to the website and order tickets, pick them up at the group kiosk, it was very easy and quick. Waited 2 minutes on a Friday morning to enter and waited 20 minutes to see crown jewels. Definitely catch a Beefeater tour (they are free and run every 30 minutes or so). It was very clean and well organized with easy, accessible restrooms.
Got in early thank goodness. Queues got longer and longer for crown jewels. We'll worth the money. Real history!
A place with lots of history associated. A must visit in London
Amazing place full of history and the staff so friendly .
Didn't go in but a read around the tower is nice with some good sights and selection of shops
Lots to do and see. Can easily spend an entire day here. Very interesting and informative. Worthwhile joining a tour with a beefeater. Some crowding around the jewels.
Grenat visite thanks Tom the funny and knowledgeable yeomen
Excellent day out made even better by the Informative and witty beefeaters who evidently enjoy their job and are proud to be serving at the tower.
Tower means highness.
It promotes us to do something great something high like it.
See the highness of it
See it's top
It is calling you
"come O! Child come
Come to the top.
Be shre to join the free yaomen tour which is offered by the guard it really makes the experience so much better and immersive! Our tour leader was named Laurence, he was hilarious and informative we loved it!
So much history, so many stories of significant past events that shaped the UK, from the 12th century until today it is a fascinating place, the kids will love the gory details and the mystery of the 'princes in the tower' The yoman warders are genial and clearly love their career, always know something interesting and find time for anyone who wants it.
Very expensive to get in crown jewels not that fantastic lots of long queues to wait in
Steeped in history and one must do the one hour guided tour to appreciate the Tower
The Royal-Feeling and beautiful Place in Great Britain.
Great place! You could spend a full day here. Incredible history aaaaaaaaand the crown jewels are worth it. Good for kids too.
Pricey and you queued for everything....spoilt the experience slightly and wouldn't go back in the summer
Great London Site Wonderful place to visit brings history to life
The second seismic even in the history of the island since Roman time - the Norman invasion. They brought technology, culture, record keeping, system of administration, etc. The descendants of the Picts and Anglo-Saxons still can t handle the enormous civilizing force of the Normans. They want to downplay the importance of the Normans. It was shocking to hear this tune from the curator. This is an extraordinary example of that magnificent era. Full of history and forlorn and brutal events, like Gruffydd, Anne Boleyn, Thomas More. The ticket office staff and curators are very helpful.
Absolutely a must see! Yeoman guided tour made it even more enjoyable!
great tour we were fortunate enough to have the raven-master himself as a tour guide.so if your in London make sure you stop here
Did a tour and was worth the wait spent most of the day
This is an amazing place to visit! Especially with the memorial in place too! It's an amazing sight to see.
There was a wait to get into the main area but 100% worth it.
Wow. The crown Jewels are beautiful. The history bloody
Really great armory! It took us longer than expected to see everything!
It took me 48 years of living in London to visit, worth the wait
I loved the history that fills this place. Make sure you get the an audio tour as I found it very informative.
Good place to visit but be prepared for long lines and lots of stairs.
It's a beautiful building, especially at night ! Didn't go inside though.
Worth it. We only had a little time in London and figured we should check it out. We went in the afternoon on a weekday wasn t too crowded, was great to learn all about the history.
If you take time, you can travel into history and feel Royal history. Some of things happened here are heart touching. Remember to spend a full day here to soak in the Royal history of Britain for the last thousand years.
Expensive. Incredible history. 3+ hour wait to see queen's jewels. Other than the problem seeing the jewels (star reducer) it is worth the time. The armouries were awesome. Lots to see and do once you are in inside. A few pricey and tacky gift shops. Long lines at the loo.
Excellent for the history buffs among st us. Bit pricey though.
