great place to visit and not too pricey. the family loved it
Absolutely awesome, only had a couple of hours but could easily have spent the whole day there. The yeomanry guard are extremely helpful and friendly. Agreat day out.
The crown jewels are incredible. Probably millions and billions of dollars worth of jewels and royal artifacts from the different periods of England's history. The ravens are really cool too. There are information signs for the story behind them in a small courtyard near the raven gift shop. The torture tower is a quick walkthrough with information and models of the torture devices used.
A truly amazing place to visit, so much to see. One of my favourite bits was seeing the graffiti left on the walls by the towers prisoners!
A must do tour! Make sure you you tour with a beef eater
The tower of London is one the many historic places in London. The tower of london houses the crown jewels. The famous Kohinoor Diamond is also on showcase. It is well connected with public transport. There are free walking tours as well.
Fantastic experience. The beefeater guides were brilliant. The crown jewels were out of this world. Would highly recommend a visit. Looking forward to going again.
Must see if you like medieval things like castles and knights!
visited with my mum and it was fantastic. lots to see, the crown jewels were spectacular. queues were quite long, we waited probably 40 minutes in the pouring rain to get into the building the crown jewels are housed in. lots of information to take in and lots of items to view. coffee shop was nice too. great day out even if you have no interest in the royal family like myself.
Great historical site. Be sure to do the guided tour with a Beefeater. Very informative and entertaining.
For those with disabilities ToL have obviously put a huge amount of effort in to making it as accessible and enjoyable as they can. Of course it s not all accessible given the age but still highly recommend it, we were highly impressed with all of the people who helped us get around the site.
O monumento mais bonito de Londres! The greatest place in London, for me of course! Amazing. I love it!
Get your tickets online! Fun to see and walk around, lots of great photo opps.
Really amazing to see. Looks like a small city. You can walk and see stuff for hours.
An iconic building in London, which can trace it's origin back to 1066 when the Norman invasion took place and started building a stronger fortification for the newly established London. The castle was used as a prison from 1100 until 1952. More
What can I say about the tower of London that has not been said. 1- get there really early. The tours started forming there fast. 2 - go see the crown jewels first, the line becomes huge really really fast. After that, go check the other sections. The entrance is a bit pricey. We spend 5 hours there, get the Yomen tour. It is really fun. They do keep you entertained. Lots of walking and stairs.
Nice to see the London history and such historical architecture.
First time here. Loved it! Saw the Horrible Histories and actually learned things! Seeing the Crown Jewels was amazing, the queue was worth it! Walking around was amazing and I was able to get great photos
Great place. The beefeatres were really funny and explained the place's history great! The crown jewels were amazing and other exhibitions were nice as well.
The buildings themselves are amazing but the exhibitions leave a lot to be desired. And the price of a ticket is exorbitant.
Love things related to medieval times, this was medieval-galore. Great view of the London Bridge too
Great place to stop on your tour of London, filled with history and located in one of the most icon spots in England. The Tower of London is filled with history and artifacts throughout the eras, the property is well maintained and the staff is polite and helpful. History lovers, this is a must, do yourself a favor and visit the Tower of London.
We got tickets here through the concierge and were able to do the group tour with the Yeoman Warders. He was hilarious and you learn about so much history right where you are standing! The tour was an hour, but then you could go off on your own. I liked seeing the jewels, and the Royal Chapel. It is very interesting, but a little of a downer when you hear all that went on there. Would still recommend! There is a lot of food and vendors near by. It is all mostly outside though so dress warm! There are also guards inside, and the bridge is right around the corner.
My favourite tourist destination in London. Love the Crown Jewels, the Ravens and the Beefeater s
Amazing place to visit. The Crown Jewels are just incredible.
Definitely recommend taking the Yeomen tour, very informative and funny.
Cool place to visit while in London. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
Cool place to visit but very expensive and a ton of tourists and tours go through here so it was pretty packed when we went. We would still recommend it if you like military history.
My mom and I were so excited to go see the Crown Jewels and the dungeons again. We were extremely disappointed to find more then half of what used to be displayed is no longer there (the tiaras, the jewelry, etc.)You also can t visit the dungeons. There is a small room in the bloody tower with 1 or 2 items on the walls and that is it. To say the least, we were disappointed. In all honesty, it is a waste of your time and money. (If you are coming for the same reasons we did)
Really good day out, intresting and great to learn about the towers history
It was an interesting, awesome experience. The queue to view the Crown jewels was far too long, way down by the cafeteria, so didn't see them. Everything else was fascinating.
Had a wonderful time seeing and experiencing centuries of history.
You can spend HOURS here if you have the time. Grounds around the Tower are gorgeous.
The Crown Jewels are spectacular.
Definitely worth a visit.
Great museum for all ages. The audio guide was particularly informative and helped guide you through the whole fortress, I highly reccomend picking one up for your visit. This place is pretty big, but not overwhelming and there are several different tours you can do, including seeing the white tower, the royal residences, prisons and the crown jewels. The exhibits are pretty interactive, especially fun for young visitors, the can tryout pretend versions of medieval weapons and pose with iron soldiers on the battlements. The view from outside the walls across the Thames is incredible too! Definitely a must see while visiting London, I'd give yourself a couple of hours to get through it all. There are cafes and ice cream stands inside the walls as well.
Fantastic! Lots history to look. Worth to spend that amount money for ticket. Great play to visit
All staff very helpful and pleasant. Very well maintained. Very expensive to get in, had to pay extra and long queue for audio device and little information around the tower, had to Google it. The food is not good, though not too bad a price for London.
I recommend taking a tour guide from the entrance, it's free of charge
Great place with an even better guided tour! The tour guide (Steve) was absolutely hilarious- you *must* take the beefeater/Yeoman Warden tour.
The Tower of London is a must see both if you live in or visiting London due to it's historical importance. It's not gonna blow your mind but there are many interesting things to learn and see there. Recommend to go at the opening time and head straight to see the Crown Jewells as the queue tend to grow really long afterwards. Once you are in there don't be a sheep, take your time and feel free to take as many turns on the moving walkway as you wish so you can take a good look at the fascinatingly rich exhibited items.
Expect to spend there 2-3 hours.
Amazing place. There s so much to see, so I recommend getting there early, we took the Beefeater s tour and it was very fun and interesting.
Nice historic place. Beautiful fort to visit and also view the crown jewels
An absolute tourist must see. Take a good three to five hours at least to be able to see it all and not have to rush through. The audio tour is incredibly well done, you can choose your own route or follow the recommended. Without it, you might miss quite a lot of extra information, so I would really recommend it - more so than an actual tour. When it gets crowded (and it will), it's so easy to for a guide to get drowned out whereas the audio tour will always be clear and can be rewinded if you did miss something.
FYI you can bring your own food and drinks and should take advantage of that - as with all tourist attractions, prices can be a bit hefty. Only exception in summer are the ice cream trucks - well worth the price. Strawberry clotted cream is the winning flavour!
Some of the exhibitions are not wheelchair accessible and the cobbled streets might be uncomfortable as well, but there are some you can get into (Crown jewels, at the very least). Best to inform yourself in detail on the website though.
I love the Tower of London so much I've been several times. The history and feel of the place is great. The white tower has an interactive area for kids which is really good. Love sitting in the cafe there although it can be expensive so take some snacks with you.
A thousand years worth of history in a single site. Interesting displays and collections. Well worth the visit.
We had to pass the tower to get to the Tower Bridge. The area outside of the tower is very busy. Across the street there are stores with bathrooms that you can use.
This place still has a mystique which explains the hoards of people who visit there. I saw it in July in the morning when it wasn't crowded. If I'm not mistaken, this is where the Crown Jewels can be seen. They are in a bullet proof, clear case.
I ve been so many times , it s just amazing , the history just oozes out of the walls , it simply
one of the most atmospheric places I ve ever been.
Went ice-skating here. Good fun and the ice bar was a nice touch.
When you go there, you can see lots of things. Highly recommended. Use google map how to go there.
The best place to spend time for the everyone. You'll get good photos here. Amazing experience, best times are spent here. Do visit and spend the quality time.
800 or so years of history, all in one place. Give it a full day at least.
Brilliant, will most likely di the visit again. Highly recommend
There's so much more to this place than I expected! Go early and avoid the crowds.
Lots to see and do in a place steeped in history. Be prepared for huge crowds and a long wait for the jewel house. Could do with more public toilets though!
Amazing experience for adults and kids, with all the history of famous prisioners and executions, the crows, the crown jewels (you can never be so sure they are the real ones), but simply walking the walls makes up for a wonderful adventure.
The price tag is quite high though, but well worth it.
Went for a gift for wills by diabetes UK. Before a nice lunch and walk round the crown jewels are amazing.
Unfortunately 2 of the towers were closed. Overall a lovely place to visit.
GOD SAVE THE QUEEN
Fantastic. Apsolutely worth investing time.. specially when no que is involved
Very historical place, our guide was awesome. The Crown jewels were splendid, marvelous despite the long queue, the wait is worth it.
A pretty remarkable place with great history, shame I didn't see any public executions
A must visit for those spending time in London. The White Castle is definitely a highlight for me
It's nice but I don't think there's so much to see really.
Just wow. Loved being able to see the history. Everything was excellent
So much history and you can do as myor as little as you like. The staff were super helpful with issues with our tickets!
If at all possible take a Yeoman's tour of the Tower, they provide so much interesting history of the tower that you might not know about otherwise.
Nice place to visit, you can take a boat to take a tour on the river and later on go there to see this amazing building
It is a good museum showcasing artefacts collected from the times of colonisation; notably the Crown and Crown jeaels, including the Indian diamond Koh-i-Noor. Other than this, one may wish to take a good stride around the Tower, though there is not much to do. Outside, one would find the popular Tower Bridge of London.
An excellent place to be in the itinerary. A must visit place if you are in London and are fascinated by the jewels .
A 10-15 min tour inside the palace whixh showcases the best of jewels in /brought to London.
Remember if you want to see the famous Kohinoor, use the first travelator, and it's in the last crown studded in the middle.
One of the historical , must visit place in London as a tourist. You will get chance to view the few world famous jewls and of course the Kohinoor. But you should have patience to be in the long long queue to just to see that once. Recommended to be there early as possible before 9 to avoid the long queues. When you come out from the jwel museum there you have plenty of place to prove your photography skills with tower bridge and other iconic buildings in the back ground. The beauty of the tower bridge and the river shore is more impressed me than the jwel collection. I personally like to have drink in the banks of Thames river with a look at the beautiful view ..
Absolutely brilliant experience. Take a tour with a Yeoman Warder for the full experience. Arrive early if you want to see it all. It's a full day experience.
Major historic site, don't miss it. Impressive buildings and exhibitions. Explore England's history in a nutshell. The Crown Jewels are magnificent.
This has to be a once in a lifetime visit if you are keen to know more about British heritage and culture
Good small fort. Exhibition of Crown jewels is nice. Generally people goes there to see Kohinoor Hira but it's not prominently displayed. I have to enquire from staff there. Ticket is also on higher side keeping in view small area of fort.
As with all tourist areas, they are crowded. Try a weekday aa it may be less busy. Clean, tidy, safe and way signed.
Excellent piece of history, yeoman of the guards very good story tellers
Fantastic place with very helpful staff. Thank you.
What a murderous bunch :). Very interesting though. Had a great visit.
Beefeater tour was very interesting and the guide kept everyone engaged. Go early to avoid long lines.
It's a lovely place lots of stairs to climb be prepared to queue up at peak times. The Anne Boleyn experience was cancelled due to the weather poured with rain We was disappointed at it being cancelled and wondered if they could have made alternative arrangements to proceed with the show. A staff member stated to us that the actor's were to precious thats why it was cancelled
