This school was founded by the Jesuits in the 19th century. Until 2013, the establishment was called "Notre Dame de la Paix University Foundations" and overnight, the establishment changes its name to become "University of Namur" by removing all crosses from the classes on the way. ! School that denies its Christian roots.
The University of Namur is a Belgian Catholic university from the city of Namur, the capital of the Wallonia region. It was founded in 1831 following the independence of Belgium from the United Kingdom of the Netherlands. It was originally founded by a group of Jesuits.
Near the train station but buildings of the faculty of economics old enough and the WiFi is not always available in audience
Very good university! In many areas it is very advanced. The contact is much stronger there than in the other unifs, so you are not just a number. The human spirit is important there. Quite a few activities organized by the uni so you will never be bored! You just have to choose your domain and register
Computer science alumni here, I recommend this university as it is quite advanced in many domains and recognized on a global scale for the research
The University of Namur enjoys a great reputation throughout Europe
What I liked : The human size of the University, its atypical organization in the form of an ASBL compared to other Belgian universities, the quality of its teachers and their open-mindedness. The position in the city center with the connection to the nearby SNCB station. What I like least: The difficulty of accessing with a car, the hassle of parking.
University on a human scale in the heart of the City of Namur. My daughter took her baccalaureate there. The University offers everything you need to facilitate integration and reduce organizational difficulties. The teaching is of a good level and constitutes an excellent preparation for the Masters.
