The Evangelical Methodist Church was created by the union of two churches - the Evangelical Communion and the Episcopal Methodist Church. In the English-speaking area, the new United Denomination was given the name United Methodist Church, while in many European countries it was named Evangelical Methodist Church. Evangelical is called because it preaches the gospel. The message of God's love for all people is the content and measure of the life of the church and its members. The apostle Paul described it this way: God accepts all people and therefore I can trust in His love. He who believes in God in this way gets eternal life without any effort. This life begins here on earth and will not be destroyed by death. Reformers recognized this truth of the gospel and the gift of God's love and preached it as "justification by faith alone." The Evangelical Methodist Church also accepts this truth and therefore belongs to the evangelical churches. It is on the basis of this truth that he tries to seek and follow the way of a Christian life properly.
